Just finished the book. I am familiar with many, but not all, of the authors and thoroughly enjoyed read all the stories. This was a great idea and I hope it continues. Each story was just the right length to read at night shortly before bedtime. I used a Kindle HD. Looking forward to the next endeavor.

Imagine your favorite characters from the best thriller novels meeting up, and having an adventure together! What an extraordinary concept, which plays out even better than you'd ever expect. Buy it, read it, and then sit back and enjoy it!

A dozen or so quick reads, Faceoff stirs memories of past books, and inspires one to meet a few more authors and characters. These are great stories packed into a few pages, perfect to read while stuck in waiting rooms, waiting for cases to be called, filling time without surfing the 'net.

Great reads by authors I am familiar with; very interesting to have two well known characters interacting in the same story! For authors I was unfamiliar with, this was a great introduction to their work. I have already purchased a couple of kindle books by those new-to-me authors. I hope writing these short stories was as much fun as I had reading them!

Some really great stories and I found some interest in authors that I was not familiar with, which was my intent for reading short stories, I am now reading a T. Jefferson Parker book. While I knew of him, this restored my interest in his work. A couple of other writers got my interest also.

What a fantastic group of short stories! I have read most of these authors and love their main characters and to have some of my favorite "friends" meet each other was amazing. Each story is true to their characters and the combinations really bring out the best in each character, and while I was familiar with most I have definitely found a couple of more series to read. I would love for the ITW to do this again! Hats off to you ladies and gentlemen for a great read and for a great cause!

The story co-authored by Michael Connelly was entired too short. Not that many that I enjoyed. I enjoyed the one co-authored by John Sandford and found a new author I might be interested in, Heather Graham. Other than that, I didn't find the majority of the characters interesting.

I really enjoyed this book because I got an introduction to a lot of characters that I had only heard of but had never read before. As a result, I've become a fan of Harry Bosch and Michael Connelly's series. This is a great way to explore without a big $$ outlay.

An interesting concept by pairing various best selling authors and their well known characters in a series of short stories. I really enjoyed the book and each short story. Makes me want to read full novels by the authors with whom I was not familiar.

I really enjoyed the sampling of various characters that were paired and portrayed in each story.
This was a great idea and I hope you do it again in the future especially with my two favorite authors, Lee Child and Joseph Finder pairing Reacher and Heller together what a phenomenal pairing that was thanks again for a very entertaining compilation!

The idea of paring well-known protagonists is appealiing. Several of the "Face Off"s worked well...Harry Bosch and with Dennis's Lehane's lead...Jack Reacher and ?...Lucas Davenport...others not so much.
I'd saw try it. You'll like (most of) it..

My only complaint would be that the stories with all my favorite characters in them were too short. The character pairings were well thought out. It was more fun to read than I expected. Would recommend.

An outstanding compilation of short stories written in collaborative partnerships between veteran thriller authors, this book was very difficult to put down. For the avid reader of the genre, both the authors and characters are likely to be familiar,,though a few were b

I had hoped to experience several writers that I have never read before now. however, I was not able to determine enough difference in style and content to identify to the writer I had not read. So I still do not know if I like any of the new writers

It was great to break away from the predictable and see the fed up good guy go bad and get a way with it and the really bad guy get it good!!!! Nice short reads with originality to the plots and amusing twists of fate....

Where I was familiar with the characters, I felt entertained; but in that I did not know a number of them, I felt left on the outside trying to look in. Uncomfortable. Obviously I have a number of authors to catch up on.

Really enjoyed it as it had many of my favorites, Child, Sanford, Connelly but also some I had not read. It will be good for someone looking for some work from different authors. I would recommend for mystery readers

Ii ran all over my expectations! The collection of authors fits my own "best of". Sometimes there is only time to pick up a book and go thru 30 -40 pages. this fulfills a need that many folks probably share with me.
The creativity displayed throughout was great!!!!!

Interesting as short stories but it demonstrates how difficult it must be for 2 excellent writers to write one story. Quality varies but not one is very good. Take the time to read each of them at what they do best.

Really enjoyed this compilation of mysteries by major writers. Two writers take each of their heroes and develop a short story. Exciting. Surprising at how well these dual heroes work together to solve crimes

Loved all of the stories - especially the ones I with characters I was familiar with. It was a good way to meet some new characters & get a taste of their style, to see if I wanted to add them to my favorites.

I don't often do these theme anthologies but when the author list has most of my current favourites who's next books I am eagerly awaiting I had to do it. And it was well worth it sorta like a chance meeting with old friends and meeting some new ones you have to call back when you get a chance
