A LitRPG Novel (Crystal Shards Online Book 1) - Dodge Tank

This is an excellent lit rpg. I wasn't interested in it based on the cover but I read all lit rpg's over 4 stars so gave it a whirl. I'm glad I did. Has a coming of age theme and some romance. Good fast read.

I enjoyed the story and the plot had an interesting twist at the end. Well written battles and a lot of character development throughout the book kept it entertaining. Looking forward the the next book.

What a novel yet completely obvious premise! As a tank, you job is to soak up all the damage... but why even take damage- if you’re fast enough, your opponent never get hit. I loved it. Can’t wait to see how the story continues.

Loved this series, great characters and well written, it really draws you in. I had trouble putting these books down. I am waiting for the next one with baited breath, I think I'm turning purple. Lol

Let me start by saying the story is addicting and the author throws a curve ball at the end. Highly recommend reading it. However, there are major grammatical, tense, and spelling errors throughout. Still worth the read.

my exact words upon hearing the final few sentances of this book were. "you cannot do this to me, YOU CANNOT DO THIS TO ME" its 3am and im a little tired. these words actually came out of my mouth out loud. its a killer cliffhanger, and im downloading the 2nd book right now. if you are considering picking this up on audible or otherwise just do it. its well worth it.

Characters are pretty well written. The dynamic is a bit unexpected and while some of the LitRPG usual quirks are here it’s definitely it’s own story. I was drawn in and ready to get the second one started.

I want more! It started slow then it was wonderful. I love the story the characters were wonderful. The awkward age that they put the main characters at - they were wonderfully awkward. Overall a great story. I loved it. I really want more!

Has everything you want. Interesting game world, characters, game mechanics, action, and a reasonable back story. Big reveals at the end are well done. And while the story isn’t finished I wasn’t disappointed with the cliffhanger ending as is often the case.

Great read. Really good addition to the LitRPG genre. The characters are well developed, and the storyline creates an intriguing backstory and motive instead of just following the standard "I got stuck in a MMORPG" plot.

Enjoyed the story as it developed... really loved the fact the mc started out as a character struggling to overcome his disability with a great friend to encourage him along; even though she didn't know the whole story up front. Was intrigued from the start. Great storylines. Liking the whole LitRPG thing.

I rarely rate anything on the store but this was the first book I read from the store unlimited. I am a huge gamer and enjoyed this book quite a lot.I must warn you though.....it uses quite a few gaming references that might confuse some who aren't down with the lingo!!!! Good book and I look forward to the next one!!!

-The author built an amazing world with a great cast of characters.
-Anyone that enjoys sci-if as a whole will love this book, it has a little bit of everything. The story had me engaged from start to finish.
