Well written entry into litrpg. Not quite a name of the wind but better than most of the junk posted. An interesting take on min maxing and the gameworld /real world interplay. Waiting for next installment as eagerly as I'm waiting for kongs ' next book.

Really enjoyed this book. Has an interesting back story. My only real complaint is that after reading the book I am still a little confused about the game and real life and how they combine.
I don't know if I just didn't read carefully enough but I still don't if he is playing a virtual reality game or if his Dad's programming had changed all the rogue nano so that it conforms to game rules and when he goes into the pod he is controlling a nano avatar that interacts with nano in the real world but through a game interface? Might go through and re-read the beginning see if I can figure it out.

Rated positively for a book well written. I like a little uniqueness, good motivation and character development, problem solving without being overpowered, a touch of "oh s$!t" situations and a positive feel. The secondary characters were a little less beliveable, however the overall tension ws well done.

I was pretty impressed with the authors efforts in this novel. This is a new genre and there are lots of offerings and I have to say this in the top 10% of the group. I was impressed with the authors efforts to be knowledgeable about, economics, Eastern Theology, and his own take on yoga/magic. I thought the main character was engaging and well developed for a first book. I am looking forward to reading the next one. I almost gave it a full 5 stars but that is a high goal for my reviewing so I want to say again that a success I feel this was for the author. Happy reading

I thoroughly enjoyed this, I have been delving deeply into this genre and this is now one of my favorites. This most excellent book is a step ahead of most of the competition with the intelligence and wisdom of the singularity theme combined with a sophisticated delivery of complex concepts.

I really like it. Minimal whining from the MC. Story line is detailed enough to keep you up to date without dragging through unnecessary details. Enough conflict both inside and outside the game to keep you invested in both parts. No glaring editing flaws that break immersion. In fact, grammar Nazi that I am, I haven't noticed any.

Especially enjoyed all the in jokes and references for gamers. The triangle of the main character, the best friend, and the best friends girl, with the friend stuck between two true believers was interesting. Would have like it more if the friend had not been so quick to side with the girlfriend.

Wow.... if feels like it left you hanging there at the end but Miles proves that "where there is a will there is a way"
After everything they put him thru he still finds a way to one up them.
Good read wish there was more

Any Avid fans of lit RPG should definitely check this out. When I first read the summary I was kind of hesitant to be honest but I stuck with it and it exceeded All my expectations.
Going to be eagerly waiting for the next one

This series beginning is every bit as epic as the classics. From Ready Player One to Ender’s Game to Kong’s Chaos Seeds... this book is a carefully crafted masterpiece of wit, nerve, plot, and poise. I literally cannot recommend it enough.
Worth every minute of your time...just start it on a Friday so you can get some sleep before Monday morning.
Way to take the genre up a notch! This is a shot of epic twists and turns you won’t regret.

From beginning to end I was enthralled with the ingenuity of the MC. He’s clearly not OP in any way, but he is able to make use of his circumstances to bring his character to favorable outcomes despite having huge forces against him.

It is hard to believe that there are still people out there that read Rex Stout, and are fans of Nero Wolf. I thought I was a dying breed. The boys father character is clearly Nero Wolf, which I assume makes are young hero, Archie. This Archie still has a ways to go before he earns his dictionary and love of words, and gum shoes, but I'll be rooting for him all the way. I assume there is a cute girl coming up in the next book, and of course we are getting a baseball game?

Really enjoyed this book. If you dont know about LitRPG or GameLit or whatever then you really should start reading books and not reviews already! This book has a great game world and scary RL. The world IRL has been taken over by wild nano. The game is supposed to help, but is controlled by the elite. A simple bet could change everything. How can someone get by with NO luck? Great read check it out!

I have been making my way through the litrpg books and i have to say this was one of the better ones. This is the only one i felt compelled to review.
I liked the tone and felt the story was well laid out. I am looking forward to the next one.

Excellent first book in the series. I have read many books in the litrpg genre and feel that this is one of the best books I've read in the genre in a while. Here's hoping the rest of the series lives up to how great this first book was.

This book may feel like a mishmash at superficial glance but don't be fooled give it a shot. The story and its consistency and characters were really a breath of fresh air in a genre where characters tend to be the weak point.

Bogged down with waaaaay too much cringy internet arguments used as backstory and/or deus-ex-machina. The character didn't really develop. He was handed a raw deal, handed a beating, handed a whole bunch of gear, handed spells, handed personalized in-depth training, then the story climax was paused so that could be handed to him too. The concepts were awesome, but the story never goes into detail of how any of that works.
