Hard to summarize this excellent book. Johnston has studied Trump for 30 years. It is clear Trump and his family are tied to the mob, and it appears the Russian mob too. They are using the highest position in our government to enrich themselves and at the expense of taxpayers. If he continues in power you can expect the GOP agenda of privatizing government services and products. Prices will go up and those services will go down it will be the theft of the property of American citizens. Trump is already using his position to get sweet real estate deals...just check out is recent action on the Chinese phone company which will enable his family run company to get a property in Indonesia. Also, we pay for Camp David, but Trump makes no money going there, but he makes a bundle each time he stays at one of his resorts! He has sold Christmas babbles and hats, too. He is financially capitalizing on his position. His ostrich base can't dig their heads out of the sand!

in American politics and society. Must read for everybody who values independent and critical thinking and likes to confront him/herself with different points of views challenging the mainstream information.

This is a very important book to read for anyone, anywhere who is concerned about the current WH administration. It takes a very close look at the history and policy beliefs of President Trump and, yes, it is even worse than you think.

This is the ultimate book that exposes the horrendous things being done to our democracy. WE MUST GET RID OF THESE ALLIGATORS AND THE WORST SWAMP THEY ARE CREATING FOR THEMSELVES AND FELLOW BILLIONAIRES. TO THEM WE DO NOT EXIST AN DON'T HAVE A RIGHT TO EXIST EXCEPT AS A SOURCE OF STEALING EVEN MORE OF WHATEVER WE OWN!!!

This book should be required reading for anyone registered to vote. Johnson has used excellent and accurate sources to paint a frightening picture of the American presidency as it stands and where American is headed.. And we are so screwed.

I really feel sorry for those fools duped into supporting our Liar-In-Chief. I believe he is the Antichrist.

Great easy read about the Trump Presidency to date. It framed many of the insidious things Trump does in ways that will scare the heck out of you. If you have to choose Fire and Fury or this one, choose this. David Cay Johnston's book is an analysis of the current tenant of the White House and both the social and economic reach he will have into the future. It is not a sorrid gossip tell all from behind the doors of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Aptly titled. I love David Cay Johnson but probably more than I was interested in reading about the loser in the White House and the terrible people he has appointed. Glad to be old, sorry for my kids and grandkids. I would recommend Trump voters read this.

This book is nicely done. The word imagery is great. I do wish he had covered much more on the long term consequences of the "termites" dismantling our government under the guise of reducing regulations--aka "government overreach".

Nothing much we didn't already suspect with Trump, but Johnston really drives it home. Some behind the scenes things I was not aware of. I find I can read only about 1 - 2 chapters a day, before getting angry - and disgusted with our current president. Suggest reading it. Much more factual than Fact and Fury will ever be. (Wolf made a lot of money on that one.)

Excellent book written by an impartial author who has studied and followed Trump for over 30 years. It really cuts to the core of the clear and present danger that Trumps is to not only the United States, but indeed, to the entire world.

David Cay Johnston is a great financial reporter with a long and distinguished record of exposing political corruption, largely in the tax sector. He has known and followed Trump for a long time and provides a long and well-argued list of Trump's conflicts of interest and in general the norms that he has violated as President. I haven't ready Michael Woolf's "Fire and Fury," but this one is likely better reported if less sensationalistic. Sadly, the many people who voted for Trump in the hope he would work on their half probably won't read this book, but they should.

Sadly, the title will likely cause the radical right to dismiss this book. But to anyone who is a student of American history, it addresses facts about this president that make him far different than any of the 44 before him. If you thought that his endorsement of burning coal for energy over solar was unwise, read this to get the whole picture.
