This book is definitely a must for those with christian libraries. I couldn't put this one down. Warning, do not read this book and be put under bondage, rather read it and pray for revelation, God is full of grace.

Will not ever read this book again. There are many Christians who do not believe this is in line with God's word but work of the devil (in line with many comments/facts about the author Rebecca Brown). For one thing, generational curses are not biblical. If we repeat generational sin and do not repent, that is another issue. There are many things she writes in this book that smack of the devil's work, yet she quotes the bible--then also cleverly misconstrues it sometimes. The enemy is a great deceiver. Also, my pastor does not recommend this book and that's more than enough for me. I have to agree.

This is an awesome must read book for every Christian. Non Christians could get some real eye opening info too!! Even with the spiritual knowledge I already had, there was much more I needed to know.

I should not have expected anything, and just taken this book at face value. She speaks of her experiences, which is very much indeed interesting. However I found very little practical application about how to deal with the subject matter. and if you LOVE Donald Trump-tea party- right right
right wing politics/policies and their particular brand of interpreting your spiritual life, then you'll love this. TOO much "controlling", too much whiny, nagging behavior (what is written). I skipped that entire chapter, and let it go at that.....I don't recommend it. If you want info regarding this subject and need for application, I recommend almost anyone else, and personally I really like Katie Souza, for this subject.

I like the concept and scriptures used to backup the author's points however, out of all the examples to use, to talk about black on black crime from the vantage point of a white person privilleged by the oppression of her forefathers against blacks with no mention of that crime, is a problem for me. I Immediately stopped reading this book after her dissertation about Africa and black on black crime. What about White on White crime etc? Stop demonizing black people when the pink elephant of slavery is still a crime yet to be answered for by Whites.

Many in North America think of Harry Potter or India when they consider the words "curses" and "occult". After all, it seems like something that can only happen in movies or in places really far away. However, Unbroken Curses reveals the contrary to be true. In civilized and educated North America, curses and witchcraft are subtle and hidden.

Rebecca Brown and her husband, Daniel, learned about the influence and effect of curses in their life through personal experience. Daniel Yoder was part of a family that followed Jewish Kabala faith and endured much abuse in its name. When he came to the Lord, his family opposed him very much and they started using witchcraft and curses against him to destroy him. With nowhere to turn and almost penniless, Rebecca and Daniel had to rely strongly on Christ and his mercy to get them through this time of trial. God also used this time to teach them about the supernatural reasons for their struggles and how curses can operate in a believer's life.

This book is partly a personal narration of their journey of discovery about the curses pronounced over them and how they overcame it. The other part consists of key information that every believer needs to avoid curses in their own life. Many times we walk blindly into a situation not even realizing the occult implication behind the situation. For instances the drawing of the letter "A" with a circle around it may appear harmless or as teenage graffiti to a viewer. However, in the occult it has deep meaning. And just because we, as believers, are unaware of the meaning behind the sign, it does not mean that the originators of this symbol do not know what it means. Furthermore, just because we are unaware of what it means, it does not imply that the negative effects of the symbol will not affect us. God said in his word "My people perish for lack of knowledge". We may lack knowledge regarding curses and the occult or the symbols associated with it, but that does not stop Satan from using that against us. This is why this book is a must read for all believers.

After reading this book, you will be able to confidently identify the subtle traps that are set in your way to hinder the plans the Lord has for your lives. Brown, by citing personal examples, informs us that the curses and the symbols we associate ourselves with will impede not only our physical life, but also our spiritual walk. The feeling of being stuck in a rut and the feeling of being bogged can be attributed to a curse. This book provides key information needed to trace a seemingly unbeatable problem or situation in our life back to its root source, which may very well be a curse. Written in easy-to-understand prose, Brown includes illustrations and supports her statements and facts using the Word of God. I would strongly urge each and every believer to have this book in their personal library and to share it with as many people as possible. It is a real eye opener guaranteed to change lives!

I went to my local Christian bookstore today -- not really knowing why I was there, other than I had a 20% off coupon that I wanted to use -- & I ended up sitting down in one of their comfy chairs & reading this fascinating (& highly-readable) book cover-to-cover. (And I'm not even sure why I picked "Unbroken Curses" up, because I definitely did NOT go in there with the intention of looking for a book on spiritual warfare.)

The authors (a married couple) tell stories about how to recognize & break off curses from one's daily life & from local churches & their congregations & about how to purge one's home of cursed & unclean objects, etc. -- all backed by Scripture -- & by far the most fascinating chapter was the last one, where Brown described her husband's history of being brought up in a Cabalistic (i.e. system of Jewish mysticism & magic) boarding school & all the abuses he had to endure & how his first wife (who was abused by the same system) brought him to faith in Jesus Christ ... Wow. Definitely a page-turner if I ever saw one (& I could totally see it as a movie)!

And the chapter on cursed & unclean objects was definitely a timely reminder/warning to me of how easy it is to allow compromising (to put it mildly) objects into one's house & life -- which gives Satan legal ground to operate there -- & how vigilant I need to be in order to keep that stuff OUT.

Another extremely thought provoking, yet Biblically based book by Rebecca Brown. This time with the assistance of her husband Daniel Yoder.
I have read many such books on this subject. I listen to what each author has to say and weight it against the Holy Scriptures. This is the only way to ascertain any level of truth or credibility in their content.
I find it very difficult to argue with Rebecca Brown. Her approach is different to most, but the fundamental truth of what she says shines through.
The hostility and discrediting reviews of others here seem to have little if any foundation. None that I can find make any attempt to show where they consider Rebecca Brown to be in error.
The basis of all Rebecca Brown's teachings and methods are to glorify & obey God, follow Jesus, be sensitive to the leadings of the Holy Spirit and to stand upon God's Word and instructions when facing the devil.
I have faced problems in my own life and having read Rebecca Brown's books and the Scriptural principles involved, the problems no longer exist.
At the end of the day, everything in her books must be weighed totally against the written Word of God. If this principle is followed and there is no error, then what is the problem ?
Kindest regards. By the way I thoroughly enjoyed this book, together with 'He Came To Set The Captives Free' and 'Prepare For War' by the same author.

By addressing the difficult and dangerous world of demonic curses, Rebecca Brown, MD and he husband Daniel Yoder have rendered an invaluable service to the Christian realm.
Surely this is one of the most challenging and difficult areas for the modern Christian to address; why do certain people hate me or wish me ill? The reality is that many Christians, to in some cases include pastors are quite unaware of the evil, cleverness and subterfuge of the devil's kingdom toward them; a potentially deadly ignorance.
UNBROKEN CURSES presents a realistic and common sense series of Christian techniques that can be used by the everyday believer in his own defense against the wicked powers that be. This work shows the only solutions to the beset individual, and clearly illustrates how remarkably commonplace curses actually are.
I would highly recommend this book to individuals and bible study groups worldwide. It most certainly can mean the difference in the ultimate destination of one's immortal spirit.
The bible offers us the protection of God from the dark side of the spiritual realm, and UNBROKEN CURSES shows us how to implement those promises of defense.

This is probably one of the most life changing books I have ever read, of course the Bible being the first! My husband and I have seen an immediate change in our marriage after 3 years of tumultousness. Dr. Rebecca Brown has given a true gift to believers in the writing of this book. I guarantee after reading it you will never be the same. All of her teachings are biblically based and I can find no fault in her writings.

I thought PREPARE FOR WAR had its flaws, but this is the worst one yet! I can agree that we as Christians should be careful what kind of souvenirs we bring home from foreign countries because of their possible connection with the occult. But to attribute everything that happens in a Christian's life to demonic oppression or generational curses is a gross misinterpretation of the Scriptures. The Bible gives numerous accounts of godly people who experienced suffering that was in no way connected with either problem. The Apostle Paul had a "thorn in the flesh" that he begged God to remove, but God's response was "My grace is sufficient for you..." (see 2 Corinthians 12), not to go through countless rituals to rebuke demons (by the way, Jesus didn't go through rituals to cast out demons; He simply commanded them to come out and they DID!). No Christian is immune from suffering, and the presence of it in one's life does not necessarily always mean that the person is under a curse. Also, Dr. Brown's suggestion that tribal warfare among African nations and gang warfare among African-American youth is attributed to the influence of ancestral demon gods is also stretching it too far. As an African-American, I find it downright offensive. Many faithful African and African-American Christians are dying for their faith, fleeing from their homes, being sold into slavery in the Sudan, etc. and it has nothing to do with ancestral curses brought on by idol worship. It has everything to do with the fact that "...all who live godly in Christ Jesus SHALL suffer persecution". Also, the suggestion that land previously settled by Native Americans is cursed and needs to be cleansed is also outrageous! If that were the case, we should all pack up and leave the U.S., for the vast majority of American soil was once occupied by Indians. What's really bad about this book is that, once again, the blood of Christ alone is not considered sufficient for deliverance. We must recite certain prayers and perform certain rituals in order to be set free. This nullifies the effectiveness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which according to the first chapter of Romans, is "the power of God unto SALVATION, to every one that believeth". I don't deny that the sins of previous generations have affected our society today. But to spend precious time looking for demons under every rock is a grave mistake. In fact, Satan would like nothing more than to have us obsessed with him and his works instead of keeping our eyes on Jesus. We must get back to the simplicity of the gospel and trust God to protect his people. For more detailed criticism on Rebecca Brown's books and theology, look up Personal Freedom Outreach (a Christian apologetics organization) on the Web.

It's strange how so many negative comments could make a person think that have choose the wrong book to read. Especially if they really need help with this. For you who are looking for DELIVERANCE and the TRUTH according to the Word of God, this book is it. Cancer has attacked many members of one of my sisters in Christ family, including her. Because of her faith, repentance and obedience to God's Word, He has healed her and now she wants the same for her family. I suggested this book to her because it opened my eyes to curses in general. My brother and sisters, that believe in the power and blood of Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit and God the Father, this book blessed me and so many others. CURSES ARE REAL!! The enemy doesn't want you to be delivered, aware of what's going on spiritually, or set free. He is your adversary! He wants you in bondage. But for you who receive it, you shall be free. One of the comments I read below said that she felt forces against her when reading this book. It's funny how when you give your life to Christ everything "seems" to go wrong, but as long as you was serving the devil you were cool. God is Greater! I was very glad to hear that she continued to read and was blessed by this book. If the voices you hear are not the words of God, take them captive. Jesus said that Satan is the father of lies.

Thank You, Dr Brown for telling the truth about the last taboo in our culture. As a long time Christian, I have NEVER heard a word about this anywhere! You have Scripture to support every claim you make. There is no better authority that that. I have had areas of my life that I cannot get victory over. After using your book, they are gone! The proof is in the pudding, my mother always used to say. This material is so important. I cannot thank you enough. Do you have a video curriculum about this? I would encourage you to do that. We are truly dying for lack of knowledge. I never knew about Satan's authorized territory. God is so fair, he is even fair with Satan. I teach a Bible study for exprisoners and intend to use your book as a study guide. I pray for you and your ministry. You have such courage! Thank you again.

Firstly I would like to comment on the speedy delivery to Australia of this book (arriving in 15 days) and the excellent condition of the book due to the excellent packaging by the store. In fact the packaging was in better shape than some of the items I have had delivered in Australia by other companies.(Well Done)
To the book review.
As an orthodox christian, I found that this book was very informative and the stories within the book are based on the true experiences of the authors. The authors then refer to passages in the bible that are relevant to the real life experiences that they have encountered. The books describes curses, their creation, identifying the creators or cause of the curse and then offers bible passages or advise in neutralizing or binding the curse.
Even though some may find it a touch on the extreme side, all in all I found it was a very good book and worth a look.

Dr. Brown has experience in spirtual warfare that most christians don't encounter. Her dealings with curses and the things that bring curses on the lives of others is one of the best and most conclusive books on the market. As are her previous books.

I am absolutely amazed and confounded that anyone who has read the Bible and understands the power of the resurrected Christ could fall into the trap that is set by this book. To listen to the authors, a Christian might constantly pray for deliverance, yet continue to be cursed due to some relic or souvenir in their home, grafitti on their home or because a Satanic cult has "given Satan legal authority" to oppress them through a Blood sacrifice on their property. A church, despite the great intentions of its people and leadership, might be doomed to failure because it was built on "cursed land". My goodness, no wonder Worldly people look upon Christians as about as enlightened as a 15th century serf.
As if that was not enough, the last chapters of the book tells a story of Mr. Yoder's upbringing that would be unintentionally hilarious, if it was not so transparently bogus. Look these people up, they are frauds.
Wake up people, the power of God is stronger than any ocultic symbolism. Of course there are generational curses, and families that are negatively affected by curses from past sinful behaviors that tend to repeat. However this totally fraudulent and unbiblical book is one of the worst examples of someone taking scripture out of context in order to deceive that I have ever run across.

What an on time word of knowledge throughout this book. Thedevices and schemes of the devil are exposed in this book from cursedobjects, things we wear on our bodies and even food that has beenoffered up to false gods.
We must become more studious of the Word of God and ask for insight as to the things that God would allow us to have in our homes, and for things that we receive from people or places.
My spirit has been made aware and my eyes have been opened by this book in so many areas. END

I could not put this book down. Christians WAKE UP. The information in this book is real and will change your life if you put it into practice. Draw near unto God and He will draw near unto you. I have actually used the information in this book and saw similar results as Dr Brown. Let "Unbroken Curses" cause you to examine your relationship with God and the lives of your relatives. Listen to the still small voice of God and follow the guidance of His Holy Spirit. If you're wondering why people don't agree with this or other books by Dr Brown read 1 Cor 2:14!

At first I found this book somewhat intriguing. It seemed to be a very thoughtful and provocative work on an area that is often not spoken of, and rarely dealt with. However the scriptures teach us that a good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and frankly lies and hatred are just that kind of bad fruit. I greatly enjoyed the book until I got to the story of Daniel Yoder, at which point the book descended before my eyes into absolute lies. Having been raised Jewish myself, these things became very evident to me in short order. First is the claim that he was born into a super-rich family of international bankers. It surprises me that no one in the banking world has heard of the Yoder family, you could name any number of other very wealthy Jewish families, such as the Schotsenstein, and what not and those in position to know will know, but Yoder, outsided of the Pennsylvania Dutch, there are no really famous Yoders. Though I admit that I could be mistaken about the family part, his supposed Cabbalistic education raises further problems. First let us just say for the moment that there is some exclusive(and exclusivity in Kabbalah [the proper spelling for anyone in the know] is that status quo)in switzerland, you run into two major problems, first Kabbalah, especially in the Ashkenazic(European Jewish)tradition is rarely if ever taught outside of a strict one on one(no schools here) setting, and it never taught to anyone who is not 40years of age, married, has at least four children, and an exceptional Rabbi. Those are the prerequisites, that if you want to spend the next 15 years of your life in study and meditation, that you need to have, and they do not guarentee either exceptance or that you will not be asked to leave at any given point. His purpose in this deception seems to be for no other reason than to spread liable and hatred about Jews. That they torture innocent children and the like. These are frankly the same sorts of stories that were passed around by Hitler and the SS, such lies have no place within Christianity. Ending the with supposed torture and execution of his wife Kai in Israel, which is absolutely absurd. No Jew, especially no religious Jew, would ever have another Jew killed, it is a firm doctrine that to do so is the most unforgivable sin, and that a special place is reserved for your soul in Hell for doing such a thing. At this point I simply could not continue reading the book. With such horrible lies I could not see how I could believe another word that came forth from their mouths.

Basic concept: If there is any power or spirit associated with something, other than Lord Jesus, it should be avoided.

Very scriptural teachings. It has much detail, examples, & illustrations to help really grasp the concept and help clean our lives from things that are harming us.

A must read for every Christian wanting to truly live for The Savior with the least opposition from the enemy possible. Very alleviating. It will no doubt shed light on many things that are causing pain and suffering in your life.

Easy easy read but extremely impacting. Teachings are to the point without fluff. I plan on re-reading it on a regular basis.

I happened upon this book quite by accident. I was looking for a bad example of "Christian" authorship and theology (Frank Peretti specifically) and found this.
I thought I'd read it all after reading Neil Anderson books, but this is absolutely dreadful. I'm shocked and dismayed that this book even exists, much less that it can be found promoted on the bookshelves of Christian bookstores.
My recommendation is burn this book and read your bible. Specifically Job where it is shown that Satan has NO power over us and can do NOTHING to harm us unless God grants him permission.

I read through "Brown's" books several years ago and was impressed with many of the things she said. I found it incredible that she would DARE claim inspiration for much of what she says. In my mind, anyone who says (in this age) the same words or less "thus saith the lord" is treading on ground WAY too thin for their own good! I think it would be safe to presume that if someone who used this phrase said just another time simply ONE thing that was not correct, then EVERYTHING they said and ever would say should be rejected. But one thing that I found concerning much of what "Brown" had to say was something that I recently read in a book by R.C. Sproul concerning Hyper-Preterism, which related EXACTLY to "Brown's" books. Sproul says in his book "The Last Days According to Jesus" page 162 and 164...
"We encounter two more serious problems with this view. The first is logical, the second theological. The logical difficulty is that it involves propositions and assertions THAT CAN BE NEITHER VERIFIED NOR FALSIFIED EMPIRICALLY." To do this is to consequently "make it nonverifiable and nonfalsifiable. This is dangerous business!....The existence of such things can never be falsified because the terms of falsification are limited at the outset."
And this was the general idea that I held before I read the article "Drugs, Demons, and Delusions"...that the ideas she proposed could be true, but if they were, it's not provable and it's not disprovable, for the arguments she makes concerning so many of her ideas are based on a questionable exegetical interpretation. Thus, I did not believe what she said and I did not disbelieve. After reading this article, however, it seems some truth has been shed on the author and in light of such evidence, I can now go the extra mile and declare a FALSE TEACHER and a FALSE PROPHET of "Brown"...

This book has been very helpful to me in determining what areas to be aware of in my life. In dealing with people that are involved in the occult, I now have the information I need to keep our home safe. In dealing with my own family generational sins, I can pinpoint and eliminate possibilities of curses and cleanse our lives completely. I'd recommend this book to all Christians or those who desire to cleanse their lives and turn to God.

Many people may have faulted Dr. Brown for consulting with an Amish person in the writing of this book. What they don't realize is that it was precisely her association with the amish that provided her inroads with artists like Bono of U2 because of his sympathy with those who embrace nonviolence. Few people would thing consulting with the Amish would make one turn to rock and roll but in this unique instance it apparently did.
