Sylvia Day always delivers stella work.
I continue to download her books on kindle and they are all consistent with her excellent writing.
I am thrilled with the Crossfire Series, wishing he writes more than Four books about Gideon and Eva and awaiing for an HBO series!
She can easily take Blood and Roses to a triology if she wanted too, thats how awesome she writes and captivates the readers!!

I love all of Sylvia Day's books. This short story held your attention to the end. Gideon Cross was mentioned in the story, which gets you think. When the book ended, I want to continue on reading. It was that good!

After reading Slyvia's Crossfire series i was very impressed it rivaled Fifty Shades of Gray so when i saw this Shadow Stalkers series I thought it would be another great read. It was very disappointing...first the books did not inter weave the characters in the books, there was one small crossover and that was it. Second these are not books they are basically four chapters with no actual story line beyond sex. Meeting and having sex within a few hours in every book is a little much at least buy a girl dinner first!
A Free Steamy Romance (The Pearl Series Book 1) - Shades of Pearl :: Blackmailed by the beast :: A Hunger So Wild: A Renegade Angels Novel :: Passion for the Game (Georgian) :: Bared to You/Reflected in You/Entwined with You/Captivated By You

Love a good crime story... this was a short one, and I think it must of been a tester because this really could be drawn into a series. There was some past love that we were able to explore, and then the reentrance into today.

Anastasia is an insurance investigator, and good thing as her family seems to be always mixed up into something corrupt. She hates having to get them out of trouble yet its a good percentage. She's was and is in love with the local deputy Jake Monroe who is determined to get her back where she belongs. Robbery, Murder, Action, this was fast paced.

This was not a disappointing story just so short.. I'd give a solid 3.5

This is a short book - and not necessarily a short story, since I felt i wanted to learn more about the characters of Jake and Ana (Ana?!) and see things develop. Sylvia Day is a very accomplished writer. She can do suspense, brilliant characters and she can do the steamy hot sex scenes. It's a great combo.

At he risk of sounding obvious, if you haven't read the Crossfire books (Bared to You etc) then you should. Some of the best written fiction of the last couple of years in any genre.

Another I just came across which has the characters, absorbing story, a little humour and spadefuls of sexual tension is Miranda Mailer Never Understand Part One ( Johnthen Trent Erotic Romance 1).

Sylvia is still queen of this genre for me though.

It feels like Sylvia Day whipped this out ... well.. in a day. I was intrigued to start. I wanted to see where the two lovers would go. But shortly after takeoff, the whole story felt forced. It's a quick read, so that's a plus. But I'm not sure I would go for another one of her "short" short stories.

#3 in the series is a will written novella mystery. The characters are interesting and well developed. The story line is fast moving with twist and turns and a little romance. I would recommend this novella and the series too anyone who enjoys a mystery. Enjoy reading

I actually had wanted to check more stars on this review but couldn't get them to light up but way to short but brief overview of the story line was hoping for the passion to be more drawn out. Will continue to read he'd books till I get tired of them just hope there not all this short.

I was very disappointed in this book. The Crossfire Series was absolutely great and very comparable in writing expertise to Fifty Shades but Blood & Roses just did not do anything for me. The characters didn't seem plausible and the storyline was not something I felt attuned to. A disappointment.
