I thought I would be reading about a young woman, who has been in love forever with the oldest brother of a bunch of boys, who were like her brothers.
Well, she pretty much got touchy touchy with 4 out of 6, BUT she saves herself for the one she truly loves. Yep. And that's what is important, right!?
Personally, if the girl I wanted to marry had orgasm(s), or intimate relations with few of my brothers, even if she "kept herself" for me", that would just be weird. With one brother why not. Like a youth mistake. But when using 2 other brothers, while playing a "special" pool game, right there in front of the guy she really wants, to make him realized what is missing... Just a tad too much, don't you think.
And when one of the brothers, who still wants her, gets angry at his oldest brother if he does not wed her, because "she is a good girl" (-really??!! We mustn't have the same definition of a good girl, and I swear I'm not a prude), that's where and when it just does not make me feel anything for any of the characters.

This book begins when Jaxi ends up living with Blake and the rest of the gang to help their mom around the house. Now, Jaxi is determined to get Blake to see her as more than a little girl. She's determined to be with him, but when he constantly turns her down, she gets a little desperate. And when others start to want her too, Blake may run out of time before he gets his head out of his butt.

This book is super steamy. And even though there was a part in here I didn't really understand it, I loved the whole store of the book. It was very interesting, and the characters were so sweet, I just loved it. I look forward to reading more in this series as well. This may have been super steamy, but it was actually a very sweet romance that I really enjoyed. It was heartfelt, and warm.

I first ordered a free sample of this book because the story really interested me. However, I hesitated to buy it because it appeared to be more explicit sexually than I normally read. I do have to warn you-- the sex was quite steamy!!!! I loved the storyline though! The characters are very likable and you can really connect to their stories. I wanted to know everything about them and I liked that they had a past and had known each of for a very long time and loved each other secretly. I find romances like that to be even sweeter! While I still think that this author might be a little too "HOT" for my everyday reading, I do plan to read the rest of this series!! I can't wait for the next one!!

Absolutely loved this book so much that I think that I have read it several times times. And if I love a book that much, that is what happens!!
Blake, the male character, is the oldest son of the Coleman sons. He helps his parents run their ranch along with his brothers. Nazi, the female character, is a spunky little woman who has been in love with Blake since she was little. She wants whatever woman wants, a relationship with him.
But Blake thinks he is too old for her. Watch out sparks are going to fly!!
But when they do, things will start to come together for the couple.
Do you enjoy spunky women and men who know how to take care of their women?
Then this is the book you should read!
But be careful, sparks will be flying high!!
So enjoy!!
Keep writing!!

Obviously a series about all the brothers. Way to much sex, way too little character development. Plot is pretty routine. Supposed to be a ranching situation, little description. Very disappointed in the book. Doubt if I would bother with the rest of the series. Way too many better books on the market. The way the three-some is presented is tacky. The hints at the other brothers' problems - mainly sexual - turned me off. Just not my cup of tea. Removing from my Kindle and my the store list immediately.

This book started my love affair with Vivian Arend's Six Pack Ranch series. I originally borrowed the books from my local library but eventually added them to my personal digital library. At the time I first read this story I wasn't writing reviews. Now I'm doing re-reads and correcting that oversight.

In the past Jaxi dated one of the younger Coleman boys but now she's decided it's time for her to make her play for the one she really wants, Blake, the oldest of the brothers. She wants nothing more than to be a rancher's wife and spend the rest of her life with Blake – if only she can convince him that he's not too old for her.

Rocky Mountain Heat is one hot and sexy book and the beginning of a great series. Now I'm on to the next one!

I read another review which lambasted this book because of the sexual scenes/talks, etc. I almost didn't download it because of that even though I enjoy erotica with ménage scenes and such. That said, I decided to try it anyway because it was free and I'm glad I did. The sex scenes were tame by comparison to most erotica but a few do include or intimate some "taboo" subjects.

I think the author broached these scenes really well to set up (1) the individual characters, (2) the family dynamic, & (3) the acceptance of those involved. I also didn't think less of the heroine for doing what she did or how she felt after the parking lot.

My point is this is a good little read with enough intriguing information about the other brothers that I'm probably going to be buying the series.

I read the review on books before I download them. Even the free ones. While there are usually those that rave the ones I focus on r the lowest and the readers reasons for the low rating. I try and find out if they just picked a title not thinking or if they are truly dissatisfied with the book. I chose this book even after agreeing with the complaints of several readers because the author is one that I have enjoyed before. And it was terrific. Details and background are what makes the readers feel they are in the story not just observing. Ajax and Blake are truly great characters and I can't wait for the next book. But am really looking forward to the whole Coleman clan getting their HEA!

What a nice surprise, a delicius, sexy and romantic cowboy book that will appeal to Lorelei Jame's fans. It was my first book by Vivian Arend and I will be checking her other books for sure. Can't wait to read more about the Six Pack Ranch Brothers.

Jaxi grew up around the ranch. Her neighbors had six boys, hence the "Six Pack Ranch". Jaxi had always had her heart on Blake but he seemed not interested, so she started dating one of the other brothers, Travis. He was not Blake, but it was as close as she was going to get for a while. The ranch boys had a very interesting extra curricular activities, except for Blake. By chance, the boys mom got herself injured so Jaxi got herself a job picking up the slack while the mom recuperate. Well there are some very interesting scenarios before Jaxi gets Blake's attention and it involves the brothers. This book got a bit hot and heavy.

I gave this 4 stars because I found it intriguing at parts and also I liked the mystery in the book of not knowing what some of the other characters secrets were. I do understand why the book got some reviews but I still enjoyed the read. The book was starting the story of one couple but then it went into to try telling the story of other couples and characters and at time it didn't work.If you don't like books with sex and other activities then don't read so you can just complain about it. Just don't read it if exploring is not your thing. Not all books are christian and vanilla sex get over it! Enjoy the book for what it is!

I am surprised by the people who wrote negative reviews because their comments are directed at the sexuality of the book but the author was clear that there would be graphic sex. If you want Hemingway, go buy Hemingway. Seriously, its unfair to criticize someone for doing exactly what they advertised you would get. Yes, there are some sexual scenes that are a bit over the top, but overall this was a fun, fast read that was a nice way to stay inside on a cold weekend. Vivian Arend did a very good job with the story. It's an entertainment people! Don't get angry because Jaxi is not deciding to go apply to Harvard - she's a country girl and I think we have a clear picture of what she always wanted and in the end that is what she gets.

Love story began with inappropriate lust as the main girl was way too young. They did only come together as adults, but the love story was lacking cohesiveness. After all that time, she seemed to know what she wanted, and he was not so sold on the idea, even though he lusted after her for many years and held back. The entire family was involved, making a weird setting which has aided in a feeling life can get strange on a remote ranch amongst the barnyard animals. The last chapter was indeed odd, with the main girl acting as a fast talking child from the fifties, as the man man thought she was a little boy at first.

Blake and Jaxi are destined to be together, unfortunately Blake takes awhile to figure this out. Their chemistry is sizzling hot. I love that they care for each other and he courts her to get to know her better. He doesn't want a relationship based only on sex. Many of these types of books have the main characters fall in love, but all they do is have sex. This one was a well-rounded story and the reader can see how beautifully their personalities mesh. I gave the story 4 stars because I didn't like the many questions that were not answered. I know this is setting up for many sequels, but that was a bit irritating.

I read a few of the reviews before downloading this book and I am glad I decided to read it anyway. The most "helpful" review I found to be completely opposite of how I felt. This series reminds me a lot of Nicole Edwards series (which I love) I loved that we not only got to hear Blake and Jaxi's story but also got a taste of the other 6 pack boys. I assume Matt's story is next since he had the largest secondary part in this book.

The sex scenes were steamy but not so overdone that the book had no real content. I definitely plan to read the rest of the series.

The story provided a few hours of entertainment. After reading a several stories that were drama filled and elicited an emotional reaction from me, it was nice to read one that wasn't.

Jaxi has always had a crush on Blake but he treated her like a little sister. Jaxi attempts and succeeds in getting him to view her as a woman. As a result, good sex follows. I would have preferred a HEA as opposed to a HNF. However I understood that the reason that the HFN ending worked was because Blake's brothers stories were going to be told in subsequent books and so I was ok with it.

This book started off really good. But then it switched over to Matt and Helen having or had sex and slowly fizzled out. The sex scenes were well scripted, don't get me wrong. But all the filler in between got duller and duller as the book began to drag toward an ending. The writing is clean, the characters well developed, and the sex scenes graphic and well painted. I'm still trying to figure out why the story jumped to Matt and Helen and their threesome. It was great writing and fun reading, but not sure how or why it was included in the story. I'll read more by this author.

I thought the storyline was classic, girl next door has loved the boy since childhood. Lexi returned from college ready to convince Blake that between them was more than "your like my little sister". I loved how the characters had such a real feel to them, I could easily see myself hanging out with them. I found myself at times laughing out loud, the banter back and forth between the brothers is a riot! There are 6 brothers and from what I could tell a book per brother. Can't wait to read about Daniel and Beth :) I highly recommend this series.

I really enjoyed the interplay of the family members. Jax knowing she wanted Blake from a young age and doing whatever she could to make that happen showed the pure determination and grit of the person she was. The purenes of her heart for him. Stubborn, hardheaded man that he was in his determination to do the right thing by her and his family, makes him an equally strong character in the pair. Love this family! I hope Ms.
Arend has plans for stories for all the brothers.
