I have read all the Rock Chick books. I loved everyone of them. Sadie and Hector made an awesome couple. I loved how he looked after her after her "accident" and patiently waited around for her. I love the Alpha male taking care of things. Kristen Ashley books all ROCK@!

I really love this series. Before is a younger version of Eddie but I think he may be a bit more intense. Sadie, while she may look like a fairy princess she acts like an ice princess, she has to though her father is a drug Lord. Hector and Sadie have a tough start together but hey we're talking about rock chicks and hot guy's....they ALWAYS have a rough start.

Such a fun series. Highly recommend reading in order but you don't have to. I know the formula is similar but each book tells its own story and its fun to revisit with previous characters and see what else is going on.

I have mixed feeling about this story so I will break down what I liked and didn't like.
What I liked: From the very beginning the book has your attention. The reader immediately becomes emotionally invested in the characters of the story. There is no long drawn out set up as to what is going to happen. There does come a point to where you ask yourself how many times can a person be kidnapped in a couple of weeks but the story develops well. In addition, I liked both the H and the h. The h was stronger than the average KA h and the H, although failed to be there for the h in the beginning of the book, did everything possible to protect the h later on. I also loved the gay couple in the book. LOVED them!
What I didn't like: There were a few things that I didn't like. I really dislike how KA's h always let major betrayals go so easily and this one is by far one of the biggest I have read in her book. ***some spoiler***The h asks the H's boss (Lee) for protection from his agency while the H was in the office. Lee refused her protection knowing that she had very dangerous people after her. During this exchange the H never speaks up. This results in the h being severely beaten and raped. Yet she forgives Lee right away and doesn't even bring it up to the H at all as a betrayal. Another thing that bothered me was already mentioned by another reviewer, the intense situations are merely touched on, not explored in depth. The way in which the H treated the h before the story began is only touched upon briefly. The H never apologizes, the h inner monologue concerns are never explored and the h again let's this go even though it was something that really hurt her. It surprises me that an author that is as talented in story telling refrains from using the power of words in making amends. This h was stronger than the average KA h but still not strong enough to bring up anything to the H or stand up to him. As with many other of KA's stories the H doesn't have to apologize or really do anything for the h to forget a transgression, no matter how big. But it is worse in this story because things were not even brought up by the h! I would have loved to see this h calling the H out on his behavior in his dismissal of her, his insult to her, his behavior during the exchange before the start of the book, how witchy the Rock Chic were to the h and they were all now expecting her to be BFF, etc. She doesn't call him or any character out on anything. There is a part where I finally felt like some of it would be addressd by the H and the readers get a paragraph from the H and an ok from the h and nothing else. Very frustrating. Lastly, I hated how other characters were shoved down my throat. I get it, it is part of a series! It was really annoying how meddlesome these characters came off because they were inserted in to the story so often. It seemed like these girls had nothing better going on in their lives than to meddle and gossip. What was even more maddening was that everyone was told that the h was raped. It bothered me to no end that people who she didn't even know where brining up her raped to her after a "nice to meet you." I found that completely insensitive and disrespectful. What gave them the right to do that to someone that for the large part of the book were not even friends?
Overall, I thought the story was well done but I was simply too frustrated with so many conversation that should have been had and the h letting go of things so easily.

I've read quite a number of Kristen Ashley's books, and while I may have problems with writing (heroes who veer into a-hole territory, characters who refuse to use pronouns when speaking) on the whole I find her style very engaging and readable. Unfortunately, the things I like about her writing were not enough to prevent me from wanting to throw my Kindle into the fire.
Sadie has developed an Ice Princess persona over the years to help her cope with the disappearance of her mother when she was a little girl and the fact that her notorious father was a drug kingpin; she keeps everyone at a distance and leads a very solitary and lonely life. After her father is sent to jail, she becomes (reasonably) afraid that the Balducci brothers will start a war with each other to fill the spot vacated by her father, and in doing so, make her a target. At the beginning of the book she goes to meet Lee Nightingale to hire one of his guys as a bodyguard.
While Sadie is in the waiting room, Shirleen, Indy, and Ally are there giving her the stink eye. Sadie isn't sure why they hate her; she thinks it's probably because they all think that she once insulted Daisy at ritzy party even though she didn't and tried to explain that to Daisy (apparently the Rock Chicks have no problem associating with known drug dealers and wives of criminals, but stand there while someone insults their friend and you are the lowest of the low). When Sadie goes in to meet Lee, Hector Chavez is there. Hector is a former DEA agent who worked undercover to bring down Sadie's father. They once shared a steamy kiss only to have Sadie pull away after Hector insulted her. Sadie explains that she is afraid and asks to hire one of the Nightingale guys to be a bodyguard (for some reason that isn't explained, she never mentions the Balducci brothers). Lee turns her down (even after she practically begs), telling her that his schedule is full and gives her the name of another PI.
*****SPOILERS*****
That night Sadie is attacked, beaten, and raped by one of the Balducci brothers. Scared out of her mind, she heads to the only place she thinks she'll be safe...Nightingale Investigations. She's found there and taken to the hospital by Hector (smart move, just picking her up and putting her in a car instead of waiting for an ambulance with people who are real medical professionals). All of the Nightingale guys congregate at the hospital and someone (I forget who) is so worried that the guys will go off of the deep end when they find out that Sadie was raped as well as beaten, that the Rock Chicks are called in to calm their men down. Because it's about them and how they feel and not the person who went through the actual traumatic event. While poor Sadie is unconscious, the doctor comes out to report on Sadie's injuries and Hector lies and says he's her boyfriend. The doctor is reluctant to discuss the extend of the trauma in front of this huge group of random people, but Shirleen (yes, Shirleen of the stink eye) lies and insists that they're all friends and they're all going to find out what happened to Sadie anyway. So the doctor tells this group of people that either don't know Sadie or who dislike Sadie, that she was raped. The guys and the Rock Chicks take this information and proceed to tell everyone including Daisy and Marcus, Hector's mom and sister, Tex, Jet's mom, the Zanos...basically everyone that appears in the book.
We also find out that both Hector and Lee had heard rumors that Sadie wasn't safe from the Balducci brothers. Even with this knowledge Lee still refused to help Sadie (he says himself that he could have shifted everyone's schedules to help her), and while he feels guilty about turning her away, everyone assures him that he was in no way at fault. You also find out that Hector had decided to help Sadie privately and even followed her home that day, but figured that she would be safe for the night. Because a living in a high rise with security is a deterrent to crazy, dangerous criminals. At this point, I was so appalled I had to stop reading and go clean the bathroom.
Hector, being the thoughtful gentleman that he is, tells his brother that he's giving Sadie one month to recover, then he's going to make his move (this includes being physically intimate). ONE MONTH. That's not even enough time for her to physically recover, let alone mentally or emotionally. I know every survivor is different and heals at their own pace, but a one month time frame was mind boggling. But god forbid this man go more than a month without sex (you later find out that he had sex with some random chick right before Sadie was raped, never mind he was so into her that he quit the DEA because they were going to transfer him to DC and that would have been too far away from her).
So all of a sudden the Rock Chicks decide that they want to be BFFs with Sadie now and randomly show up at her art gallery one day, not even taking Sadie's feelings into account. Sadie is appropriately frosty towards them (which goes completely over their heads), to the dismay of her assistant Ralphie (who also pushes Sadie to start dating Hector).
Then shortly after Sadie is attacked by another Balducci brother only to be saved by Daisy who decides to make the incident about her.
I really wanted her to give them all the middle finger while on her way out of town to Crete, but Hector would probably stalk her wherever she went.
*****END SPOILERS*****
I liked Sadie a lot (despite a couple of boneheaded moves) and thought she deserved a lot better than Hector and the Rock Chicks (and Daisy and Shirleen).

I can’t say enough about this series. I am in Love with the way Kristen Ashley writes.
In this book you get so many different emotions, happy and roll on the floor hilarious to heart wrenching sadness. Hector was a total alpha male and Sadie was a total Ice Princess. Sadie has a spin of steel but does not see her worth or how anyone would care for her enough to stay around, because no one has. She has boarded up her heart so as not to get attached. Hector is in for the long hall he just needs to break through her fortress and set the really Sadie free. With the help of the Rock Chicks and Ralphie and Buddy, Sadie starts to see the life she was meant to have if only she car let go.

This book is one of my favourite. It's totally heart wrenching. Sadie goes through so much and has no family or friends to support her. Hector is perfect for her, Hector is hot and has a fiery temper where Sadie is ice princess trying to play a role to protect herself. Sadie takes along time to deal with having a boyfriend and friends because in her life didn't have either and really struggle to deal when rock chick started to become friends. Sadie felt for a long time that she needed to buy everyone friendship.
great ending especially when Sadie fights back and they both get HEA
Great HEA.

I really enjoy Kristen Ashley's books! This book make you laugh, cry, get angry, get mushy. At first i had to get to know Hector because his character shoved up lately in the series.
This story was a little bith rougher at the begining .The plot line in this book is different from the others and I loved it. It was nico to see hov can everything go better if you let jourself to have friends.
I liked the history of them Sadie “The Ice Princess” Townsend and Hector undercover agent! And i like how everything developed into a lot more.
I am so happy that those books are standalone and there is no cliffhangers!
I am sad because there is only one left to read, and i really enjoyed company of Rock Chick for the past weeks.
I was absolutely lost in each of the story!, they kept me awake thru the night :-)

5+++ Fantastic and Amazing Stars I love this book!!!!
Okay so in my opinion this was the BEST Rock Chick book of the lot. I loved it!
I started and ignored the world until I reached the end. Hector and Sadie are an amazing couple.
Sadie the daughter of a very dangerous drug dealer, who was recently taken down by Hector Chavez, is being threatened by her father's rivals. She goes to to see Lee Nightingale for some help and he turns her away because of some history she has with Hector. This turns out to be a horrible decision, one that the men of Nightingale Investigations regret.
Hector, having decided months ago to wait for Sadie to come to him, is now regretting his decision. After having Sadie collapse in his arms it takes an army of men to separate him from her side at the hospital.
After this it all moves pretty quick, as is the nature of Kristen Ashley books. However, the book doesn't feel rushed at all. Hector takes it upon himself to set things right and stake his claim on Sadie. She of course fights him all the way, which makes for some very funny situations.
I can't really put into words the dynamic of this book. Kristen has just out did herself. Hector's protectiveness and patience with Sadie is just so amazing. It is really the "thing" about this book that makes it so good. He just cares for her so much that he'll put her first and not rush her but at the same time she and everyone else knows that Hector has claimed her as his and ONLY his. No one will hurt her or get in between them.
I love him! You just have to read it. So I hope my jumbled rambling about how much I love this book makes you want to read it because it really is the best of them all!

Spoilers below......
I love this book, but for me, there were some things missing....
First of all, I just want to say that I certainly can see where her male characters are all pretty similar. I couldn't help but notice that Mitch Lawson is another version of Hank Nightingale, and both of them are spin-offs of Chace Keaton. Just like Tate Jackson is another Sampson Cooper from "Heaven and Hell" (which was not in a series by the way) with a few changes made. Tack Allen is also similar to Tate Jackson. Raiden Miller is mixture of Tate Jackson, Sampson Cooper, and Hawk Delgado. Knight Sebring is another version of Tack Allen and Parker "Shy" Cage. Hawk Delgado is just another mixture of Lee Nightingale, Eddie and Hector Chavez, and Lorenzo "Ren" Zano. The same could be said about Ty Walker from this series being another spin-off of Sampson Cooper as well. Luke Stark reminded me of Jacob Decker. My point? As a faithful K.A. fan I really don't care because her stories rock, either way. I love how all her characters are intertwined and at some point they all cross paths during her stories. That takes some cohesive, brilliant, writing skills to accomplish that.
Having said that, this book is definitely one of my favorite books of the series. This book starts off tragic and sad. I never cry while reading books, but I actually cried during Sadie and Hector's story. I thought Hector was the perfect alpha male for this book because he was understanding, gentle, overprotective, patient, and very aggressive when the situation warranted. I thought he did an awesome job of helping put Sadie back together again after her ordeal. Sadie was a very sad and lonely individual. Her life was isolated, she was condemned because of who her father was, she had no friends, only two previous boyfriends, and her father controlled every aspect of her life. All Sadie ever had was her money, so she was trying to buy her friends, and that includes all the Rock Chicks. That makes for a pretty lonesome existence. At the same time, she did not break, she was very strong, so I do give her credit for that.
I was soooo looking forward to the showdown between Hector and Ricky Balducci. I really wanted Hector get his hands on Ricky, but it seems that Ricky got off pretty easy. I know Sadie gave him a pass where the Zanos were concerned, but come on, I figured at some point Sadie would have gotten a confrontation with him, so she could get closure. Even if it was from behind bars.
Moreover, I was surprised he never tried to attack her again, or even contact her for that matter. I was expecting him to taunt Hector in some way, or stalk Sadie, but he just disappeared after the initial attack. The rest was left up to his brothers. All I know is, thank GOD for Ren Zano. I'm just glad Ren Zano stepped up to the plate as being one of Sadie's oldest friends. I think everybody handled Sadie's rape all wrong as opposed to how they handled Ava's assault in book 5, or any of the other books, for that matter. Everyone got over Sadie's rape pretty fast, and that includes all the men in this book. Sadie really got cheated, if you ask me. Never, in any of these Rock Chick books did any of those women get kidnapped and attacked as many times a Sadie. The woman endured a brutal rape and assault by one brother, another brother attempted to kidnap her and rape her again, her father's goon kidnaps her for her father and he suggests assaulting her, and the same goon kidnaps her again on his own because he's obsessed with her and actually wants her for himself. Poor Sadie, they all did a sloppy job of protecting her.
Everyone was so over the top trying to protect Ava. I mean...she had Luke, Lee, Eddie, Vance, Matt, Dom, Riley, Ren, and both of Ren's goons, along with all the Rock Chicks on her team. However, her assault didn't even come close to Sadie's, but it just seemed like everyone felt bad when it first happened, then a month passed, and that was it. Daisy never gave her a real apology for the misunderstanding, or Marcus's role in it. Marcus came to see her, but her never apologized for his behavior, or told her he was wrong for what he did, and Marcus had known Sadie for over ten years. None of the other Rock Chicks offered her any apologies for the way they treated her. The rest of Lee's guys never approached Sadie and expressed their regret, nor did any of them volunteer retribution for what happened to her. Tex did a whole lot of talking (they all did) about what he was going to do, and did nothing.
And...for the love of GOD...WHERE THE HELL WAS MACE? I needed Kai "Mace" Mason to go maverick on the Balducci's. Vance Crowe...didn't do squat. All of the hot bunch tough guys I have come to know and love left Sadie hanging. Therefore, having read this entire series as well as "The Dream Man" series, and knowing how these guys are, that's why I feel like they all let Sadie down. If it had been any of the other Rock Chicks this happened to everything would have gone down very differently. I think most of the faithful Kristen Ashley fans wouldn't have a problem agreeing with me on this.
Most importantly, I was really disappointed in Lee because is the captain of the ship, so I definitely expected him to do more since he supposedly felt so bad about what happened to Sadie. That's just it, no one stepped up besides Hector, Ralphie, and Buddy. All of them could have definitely done more. My point? Sadie had deeper ties and connections to some of these men, and I just felt that after she was so brutalized that they would have handled all four of the Balducci brothers. I was really disappointed by that.
Don't get me wrong, the book was good, and I definitely recommend reading it. Even if it's just to complete the series.

I loved Mace and Stella but Hector and Sadie just topped them with their story. Cried many times. Sadie's journey was unbelievably heartwrenching and Hector was a perfect complement to her. He wasn't over the top alpha. Sadie was not too neurotic and though she went thru so much in her life and was protecting herself from being hurt, she wasn't annoying. You could empathize with her. I loved the scene when H carried her to the hospital and she said no one will care if she wakes up, I loved the scene when she freaked out at the gallery explaining why she isn't good enough for H, the one with her father at prison the most.

Rich Ice Princess survives a brutal sexual assault only to fall directly into the arms of Hector, the ex-DEA agent who brought down her crime lord father. As Hector starts to melt Sadie's "ice princess persona," she finds herself open to making friendsies with a never ending parade of (what I'm assuming are) obnoxious couples from the previous books in this series.
I haven't read any of the other books in this series so I came to this with no expectations other than that it had a favorite trope of mine (the abused heroine) and was supposed to be able to stand alone. And it does stand alone--sort of. Like I mentioned before, the author kept trotting out all the couples from her previous books so sometimes I felt left out with the lack of background info.
The few things said about the supporting characters often made me want to gag (too cheesy and over the top). Apparently, they are all stalwart defenders of women--can't even bear to hear or see any of them abused, thus, all of their wives have to be rounded up and driven to the hospital to calm them while they waited for Sadie. As if this is a pnr and they are a pack of shifters.
What really bothered me about this book though, is that all the characters--including the "hero"--displayed an appalling lack of respect for the heroine. Here this woman is, supposed to be recovering from a brutal sexual assault and she's got all these people (who are NOT her friends), getting into her personal business and bullying the ER dr into confirming she's been raped to a room full of people as if they believe they have the right to do so! Over and over, these people foist their grief on Sadie and force her deal with their sad hurt feelings about her attack, forcing her to console them time and again, for not being able to save her. I wanted to punch them all in the face for her. I wanted to scream at her to grow a freaking backbone and kick them out of her hospital room, but despite her so called "ice princess persona" Sadie lets people walk all over her.
Don't even get me started on Hector. I take it he is supposed to be one of those super alpha heroes. I don't mind super alpha heroes (in fact, I often like them) but not this dude. In this case, "alpha" equals "a-hole." This guy was WAY too pushy and patronizing. I guess we're all just supposed to believe that Hector knows what's best for Sadie so it's all right for him to laugh at her and ignore everything she says (silly Sadie and her silly attempts to form boundaries). I hated watching him walk all over the Sadie and I hated his patronizing attitude towards her. The worst part is the way Sadie would put up a token (but sometimes dramatic) protest before quickly capitulating. Ugh. This book left a bad taste in my mouth.

Quick and dirty- One double H Macho Hottie, One lost and confused "Bad Girl", add crazy chases, gun shots, controlling men, great coffee. and rock n' roll and you have a fun Rock Chick Adventure,
I have said it before and it still stands I love this sometimes silly over the top series. The men are too macho, the women are too crazy and the animals adorable, and yet it all works to tickle my funny bone and pull my heartstrings every time.
This is Hector's story. The Hispanic Hottie member of the Hot Bunch. Named so by a fabulous side character, Ralphie. *He is the friend everyone should have in their corner. Hector is the man who put Sadie's father in jail. he is also the man she threw herself and it didn't end well. She shows up one day at his office asking for help. the Hot Bunch turns her down only to regret it when she shows up beaten, bloody and sexually abused. His job of trying to protect this Ice Princess from his past becomes complicated by his feeling for her and her other personalities.
Sadie, she is the ultimate Ice Princess. She keeps her armor up at all times, becoming what others expect from a drug dealers daughter. Cold, impersonal, snappish, and distant, and yet secretly she yearns for comfort she can't afford to accept. Her fathers competition is coming for her and there are truly animals bend on making her theirs by force. She wants to run, she wants to hide, she can not keep holding on to her unaffected appearance. These Rock Chicks and Hot Bunch Boys are breaking her cold exterior one chip at a time.
Romantic, oh yeah this Double H, knows how to do it very well. He had me swooning along with Sadie. Warning, it's also a tear jerker, with rape, murder, broken family, and emotional abuse. it does all work out finally with a HEA as all her books in this series do but it has to be earned.
Only one book to go and these loved characters will be history for me. :(

Rock Chick ~ Sadie Townsend, Ice Princess, daughter of a crime lord.
Hot Bunch Hero ~ Hector "Oh My God" Chavez Hot Guy Move ~ Double H, otherwise known as Hispanic Hottie, has too many hot guy moves to name.
I don't even know what to say about Rock Chick Regret. My friends had warned me it was intense, but I didn't realize just how intense it was until the moment I burst into tears. At 4%. This book made me cry so, so many times. It also made me cry and smile and giggle and swoon.
Besides the details of Sadie's life and trials, a major theme of this book is the ups-and-downs of life. The good days and the bad days. The happy moments and the sad moments and how among all of the swings back-and-forth...life just goes on. That you must grab those happy moments when you can, because they will be there to help you through the rough times. Most importantly, you can get through anything when you are surrounded by the people who love you.
Hector Chavez was absolute perfection in this book. The way he loves and takes care of Sadie, the way he pushes just enough to make her see, but never hard enough to break her made him a hero. The amount of love in this story, between Hector and Sadie, between each Rock Chick and Hot Bunch counterpart, and between all of the characters in general continued to blow me away.
Rock Chick Regret introduced Ralphie and Buddy, who were the best. Malcolm, Kitty Sue and Tom also play a big part in the story. Tex, Duke, Marcus, Daisy, and Shirleen (always, especially Shirleen) kicked ass in this book.
Once again, KA rocked the Epilogue. Just the thought of knowing Rock Chick Revolution ends the series makes me want to cry.
Words of Wisdom ~ (once again, courtesy of Duke)
"Somethin' else, darlin'," he went on quickly and his voice lowered. "Your mom was here, she saw what I saw at your gallery, heard what I heard you say, it'd tear her heart out. Girl, it would just kill her to think you thought that of yourself. She made the ultimate sacrifice for you, don't let it be for nothin'. Take hold of life and live it beautiful like she wanted you to."

So, Hector Hispanic Hottie Chavez meet Sadie Townsend - daughter of an incarcerated druglord and total Ice Queen
We first met Hector back in Rock Chick Renegade when he was working deep undercover as a DEA agent to bring down a druglord - namely Sadie's father. His mission was successful and he quit shortly after and become one of the Nightingale Hot Bunch. Whilst undercover he met Sadie and realised the Ice Queen façade was a strong defence against a loveless world.
Sadie's story is tragic - her mother disappeared when she was 11. She was left with her father who made her rich in material goods but poor in emotional security. She's taught herself to put on her `Ice Princess' as protection against getting hurt. Once, just once, when a little bit inebriated, she let this persona slip and shared a passionate moment with Hector whilst he was still undercover. This was enough to let Hector see the real Sadie, his Sadie, and decide she was going to be his woman but he waited. Waited for her to come to him. Big mistake.
When she does eventually come, it's to Nightingale Investigations to ask for protection against the Balducci Brothers who are keen to take over her now incarcerated father's position and see her as the ultimate prize. Inexplicably, Lee turns her away and something very, very bad happens to Sadie that evening.
At this point, Sadie doesn't care if she lives or dies; she just wants the pain to end. During her recovery, she finds that she actually does have people that care about her and, after giving her a month to recuperate; Hector begins to pursue Sadie in earnest. Just like his brother Eddie, the way he whispers endearments to her in Spanish is sizzling hot - really made me sigh lustfully. His care and patience with Sadie is so touching - she's been badly hurt, is emotionally brittle and he knows he needs to take things slowly and his patience and care with her is so very beautiful to read.
Then before I could stop it, to my horror, I started crying.
Really! Where was my Ice Princess? Why did she come along when she wasn't wanted and disappeared when I needed her? She was beginning to really annoy me.
When the Ice Princess didn't show, with no other choice so he wouldn't see me cry, I shoved my face in his neck.
He dropped to the side on his back taking me with him. He rolled us and then we were lying on the couch, me snug between the heat of him and the soft back of the couch.
One of his arms held me close at the waist; the other hand cupped the back of my head and held my face to his throat.
"Let me take care of you," he whispered through my sobs.
"Okay," I whispered through my sobs too, too tired to fight it anymore.
Le sigh!!
Most of the story revolves around an emotional journey for Sadie from a seemingly unloved and battered Ice Queen with Hector helping her along the way with care, tenderness and almost infinite patience. I fell a lot in love with Hector during this one.
Of course, the danger is still there for her and we have the usual multiple kidnappings and gunbattles before Sadie is safe and she and Hector get their HEA.
A heartfelt 5 stars romantic suspense for the beautiful romance.

First off I just want to know if it is weird to have a crush on a fictional character?? No, OK then, I admit it. I love Hector!!
As I have read each book in this series I have fallen more in love with all of the characters and it feels like I am checking in on friends each time we meet them again.
We get straight into it in Rock Chick 7. The first few chapters already had me tearing up and gasping. Sadie comes in and rocks the world of the entire Hot Bunch, the Rock Chicks and then some. I immediately felt for Sadie and just wanted to give her a huge hug and make all the pain go away. She is tough and strong but extremely vulnerable and my heart went out to her from page one. She is such a loving person, that just wants to have genuine friends and to be herself, but she has to find her real self first and that is the beauty of her journey in this book.
Not long after the first few pages, my love affair with Hector begins... He is so gentle, possessive, loving, kind, compassionate, protective, intense and such a swoon-worthy romantic that he has seared a place in my heart. The intimate moments between Sadie and Hector are just so *sigh* touching, loving and romantic that I teared up on a number of occasions.
We see the Hot Bunch displaying such unconditional protective, loving ways that it really kept hitting me right in the chest, brought a lump to my throat, started my heart beating faster and made me long to have friends like them. Oh and they are just so sexy at the same time.
Once again, KA writes a great Epilogue and I cannot wait till #8 comes out although it will be bitter sweet because that means it is the end of the series.

Sadie Townsend is known by all as the Ice Princess and she has earned that title. After her father, The Drug-Lord, went to prison for various crimes she is in need of help. After living under her father's thumb for so long she finally wants to find out how to live her life, but when horrible things happen there is only one person she can turn to for help. Hector Chavez, the man who took down her father. Hector had one night of the real Sadie and he makes the mistake of waiting for her to come to him.
Once again, I need not say this but I LOVE Kristen Ashley! What can I say about her and her work that I haven't already said! Oh..My..Gosh! Hector and Sadie are so cute and feisty together! This had to be the most heart wrenching story out of the series! After everything that happened to poor Sadie, I bawled and cried and then when I didn't think there was anything else to cry over BAM! there were some more! Don't think that was all this story was, there was laughter and Kristen's usual witty banter between Hector and Sadie. There is also action, shoot outs, fires, and the like that Kristen loves giving us Rock Chicks to read!

Sadie Townsend is know as The Ice Princess, cold and efficient she never lets any of her feelings show, even though she longs to get out from under her father and lead her own life. She seizes the opportunity Hector Chavez presents and starts feeding him information whilst he is undercover. Months later and her father is behind bars, but now she has a new problem with some crazy rivals of her father decides that she belongs to them, the only place she can think to turn to for protection in Nightingale Investigations and Hector, only they turn her down with dire consequences...
This is by far my favourite in the Rock Chick series. Although I loved the others this one really stands out as the best, when I thought about it, the two main reasons I believe it stands out are:
1: Hector & Sadie: There is always a certain amount of resistance from the Rock Chick and although this can be funny it does sometimes leave me wondering what the frick they are thinking. But with Rock Chick Regret Sadie had such heartbreaking and understandable reasons for pushing Hector away, and although you know in the words of the Borg that "Resistance is Futile" you can't help but empathise with her. But, beyond that, they are just a fantastic couple, they fit really well together, both in an emotional and physical way.
2: The Tone: I think the tone of this book was a lot more serious then then others due to the seriously bad shit that had happened to Sadie. The action wasn't as wacky and although I love a little but of wacky action, it was nice to see it toned down a little bit and I think the romance bloomed really nicely because of it.
This book is one of my favourite reads this year, it still had all teh characters I loved from the previous books bit for me it had a little extra that took it from really liking it, to loving it.
Ally's book is next and it is the last book in the series! I really hope it is as good as this one!
Sorry Hank you have been knocked off the top spot and Hector is now my number one Hot Bunch guy!

It's been awhile since I read a series that I *HAD* to read start to finish. I read, Rock Chick a few weeks ago based on a killer recommendation from my friend Rhayne. I haven't stopped my journey until yesterday when I finished Rock Chick Regret. And I have a PILE of books I should be reading, but I could NOT stop --7 books, and I didn't even come up for air. Very addictive, a great mix of fun, humor, and suspense. Plenty of laugh out loud moments to balance the intense scenes. You'll want all your friends to read them, so you can giggle about all fun going down.
Hector is a HOTTIE, and so like the Latino bad boy in my life, I especially enjoyed his attitude. He's an intense soulful man with an Alpha streak a mile wide. What's his is HIS and he will protect her at all costs.
Sadie evolved so much as a character in this story you couldn't help but love her. At first she seems like your snobby little rich girl, albeit in a mafia fashion. As her story progresses you come to realize it's just a frigid shell and facade to keep her safe from the scary people in her world. To watch her grow and find herself was a beautiful journey, full of obstacles to get her HEA.
Kristen Ashley has a talent for characters, and I am now a huge fan. Looking forward to the Rock Chick series finale with Ally's story. I think I want to be a Rock Chick. You can find me at Frontum's getting a Caramel Macchiato extra whipped looking for a my Hector Chavez.
If you haven't read these books, I highly recommend you start... and block off some time, because you're gonna wanna read `em all.) Rock On!

Rock Chick Regret is Hector and Sadie's story. Sadie is the daughter of a dangerous and wealthy man and Hector is the undercover agent that took him down. A year later, their paths cross and like every Hot Bunch guy before him, his life changed. Sadie's story is heartbreaking and as the past is uncovered turns eye opening. There is a lot of heavy subject matter in this one which left me teary eyed and my chest hurting. I love their story and how their relationship built and grew. Hector is one heck of a man. Great book. One of the best in the series.

Kit doesn't waste any time getting down to business in Rock Chick Regret. We usually have to wait until at least half way through the book before someone gets kidnapped, blown-up, beat-up, or sexually assaulted, but in Rock Chick Regret Kit tackles the plot head on. The book explodes with a heart-breaking introduction to Sadie and Hector!
I adored everything about this book, it was my third favorite in the Rock Chick series. The "intimate" moments, okay the SEX, between Sadie and Hector made me a little moist! My eyes were moist, with TEARS! When Hector holds back to protect Sadie, I died! I was moved, touched, my heart literally tried to punch through my chest!
The unconditional chivalry of the "Hot Bunch" is the biggest turn-on. I fantasize about being part of their group and Lee f***ing Nightingale is the dark defender of every damn thing that's good! This book will make you want to jump right into the story so you can be part of everything. With Kit's beautiful writing, you feel like you're part of everything. My only question is...What the hell am I suppose to read now!!!

I liked Sadie and Hector. The story is quite dramatic with a really serious theme. Sadie was a very strong personality due to her upbringing, she's known as the ice princess. This is her armour against other people. There are many who like to look down on Sadie, she's the daughter of a criminal. But now he's been put in prison and others are vying for his crown. When Sadie goes to Lee Nightingales agency for help. She's turned away. As usul no one wants to know her. But then something terrible happens and the agency kicks into gear. Hector one of Lee's agents takes the full responsibility of keeping Sadie safe.
While I really enjoyed this story there were aspects that made think WTH. Without giving spoilers it's difficult to say. But I thought Sadie was far too forgiving, and if Hector was so into Sadie why didn't he speak up for her when she tried to hire the agency for protection.
But I did enjoy this overall. I love Kristen Ashley's characters they are always so well drawn.

Sadie's story starts off with a tragedy and the Rock chicks being rude but everyone stepped up to help Sadie after her attack. Hector was a little rough around the edges at times but he had to be strong to get through to Sadie and take out the bad guys. The part that annoyed me were the which Sadie do I have??? really we all have different sides and we all take on different roles depending on the situation. I would like to have more than just 1 Rock Chick left...I am sure there are more Hot Bunch men that could be added ;)

Sadie Townsend, The Ice Princess daughter of a now-incarcerated Drug Lord goes to Nightingale Investigations for protection but no one takes her serious. Hector was involved in taking down Sadie's dad when he was with the DEA, now that he is working for Lee he has to protect Sadie after she is viciously attacked. The Rock Chicks become family to Sadie and all the guys are working together to save her from her father's mistakes. Pretty intense and we add a couple more gay friends to the mix. Great Read

OMG ...... if you are reading the reviews to decide whether or not you should read "The Rock Chick Series" ... then dont waste any more time umming and ahhing about it. You MUST buy or download these books!! They have EVERYTHING in them and will have you roaring with laughter from the start to the finish. I can honestly say that I have not been able to put them down (thank GOODNESS I have been able to download the next book after I finished another one - it would have killed me to have to wait around for the next installment of Rock Chick and serious Hot Bod drama!!).
I can also honestly say that if Kristen Ashley carried on writing about these characters forever, I would carry on buying them.
Brilliant Books ...... so what are you waiting for ..... BUY, BUY, BUY (but prepare to put your life on hold whilst you READ, READ, READ) :)

Ahhh, Rock Chicks, don't we all want to be one! This series was AWESOME!!! You know we love anything by Kristen Ashley, this was my 2nd favorite series. In this series we meet some super uber alpha males, along with some kick ass rock chicks! We are introduced to some of the best music and beside the alpha males and rock chicks we meet some stupendous side characters.
One of my favorite things about Kristen Ashley series is that we meet the same characters in each book. We may be mildly introduced to one character in a book and then later in the series we can get to know them on a more personal lever (hehe). We also get to follow along with past characters and know what else that have going on after we finish their book. This helps to close doors and answer unanswered questions, I LOVE IT!!

This one really bugged me because of the shoddy treatment of rape & rape survivors & also because of issues with the story Here's why:
1. Sadie gets raped, there is no explanation of what happened. Rape is very painful & traumatic & I feel that since KA chose to use her rape as part of the story then she should have at least shown what she went through. This would get the reader emotionally invested in a "I feel your pain/ struggle" kind of way.
2. Sadie asked Lee for help while Hector was in the room before her rape ordeal. They say NO & treat her horribly. the Rock chicks also treat Sadie coldly & ignore her. She gets raped & suddenly they are all BFFs, life is fun & all is forgiven! I expected MORE GROVELLING! After all the s*** they put her through I wanted them to EARN their way back into her life. Sorry but NO.
3.The Rock chicks, the hot bunch & Hector all spread far & wide to anyone who is willing to listen to them that Sadie has been raped. This by FAR was what left a bad taste in my mouth. Many rape survivors have a hard time verbalising what happened to them & many feel like talking about what happened is akin to going through a SECOND RAPE. Her so called friends spreading this story to everyone barely a MONTH after the incident strikes me as cold, mean, callous & just plain s***ty behavior. It's not their story to tell, it's not their trauma to tell! With "friends" like this who needs enemies?
4. Sadie & Hector start dating and a sexual relationship between these two starts a MONTH after she has gone through a brutal rape. She still has her cast on for gods sakes!! WHO DOES THAT? granted, rape survivors all heal at varying levels but already, taking into account that the man she's supposed to be having sex with let her walk out of the door unaided to her rape..strikes me as unbelievable! What compounds this for me is Hector never apologises for his prior treatment of her. it's as if it never happened!
5. Hector treated Sadie horribly before the rape & we never see them talk about this. It hurt her very much but they never resolve this issue. It seems like they just ignore it. The mistreatment at the hand of the rock chicks is similarly not dealt with. In fact, there's a scene where Sadie is at the gallery, the girls come over to see her & she ignores them. In the book, she is made to feel GUILTY for brushing them off! I think this could have been better handled. KA could have taken this dynamic, the tension between the characters & turned it into literary gold! I would have loved to see Sadie angry, how she deals with her rape, her mistrust of the rock chicks & hot bunch & how they manage to get her to trust them, Hector showing himself as worthy of her...all of this instead of jumping right to the sex & skipping over all the necessary healing. I give 2 stars because I really enjoyed reading the interraction between Sadie & her gay pals

Sadie is not a huge b itch. It is awesome to finally have an admirable, lovable heroine that deserves one of those sweet, hot. And sexy nightingale heroes. The sexy scenes are way better too. Add to that another fun and lovable gay couple and a great storyline..and in my opinion, the best rock chick book of the 4 I've read so far.' Sadie has ice princess issues but her guy melts them quickly every time, therefore getting to keep his tough guy hero image. The dad resolutions and storylines seem a little too good to be true and so bad good and having been so good....guess it's possible but quite a stretch.

As ever the Rock Chicks make lives interesting. This is Hector and Sadie's story. And Blanca, Hector' s mama, is beside herself as Sadie makes her appearance in Hectors life. And Mama Blanca is just as nosy , pushy and in your face as the Rock Chick group.
Sadie has it just as bad as all the other Rock Chicks did when she makes her appearance in the group. No, her entrance is was more brutal and heart breaking. But have no fear Hector takes his job just as seriously as the men in The Hot Bod Bunch.
This book just as good as the others in this series.

I read Sadie and Hector's story and didnt connect with them the first time. Then I missed the whole Rock Chick/Hot Bunch crew so I reread it and enjoyed their story much more. I think the first time around I was so interested in finding out what was going to happen next that I didnt enjoy them. The second time; I had a better understanding of their story so I absorbed more of them. I liked watching Sadie grow and mature. I also appreciated Hector's willingness to be gentle with her.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Rock Chick book about Sadie and Hector and it's my new favorite. Of course, it's a similar formula to all the other Rock Chick books. It has hot guys, bad guys and crazy Rock Chicks getting into trouble and I loved every minute of it.

After going through so much, I found Sadie still had a humorous way at looking at her situation. At the same time, I felt connected to her loneliness and sadness and how she overcame it. As for Hector, I liked him but he isn't my favorite of all of the male leads in Kristen Ashley's books.

I liked this book, it was nice to see a person find themselves and in turn also find love. It also helps know that words do hurt, just some people hide that hurt. I liked watching Sadie grow as a person and watch Hector find his heart.

We love Kristen Ashley, and this series is vintage KA. Sassy, snarky heroines who will occasionally make you wanna choke em, kidnappings and bad guys galore and a whole slew of heroic hotties.

I have to hand it to this group, they are so amusing, it's hilarious! They can never get old and I am glad Kristen Ashley decided to create this novel and share it with us. All of the Hot Bunch are equally superb and I cannot say more. Purchase it, read the series, and love it as much as we do!

i loved sadie, the best kristen ashley hero. i hate that the author lets her get beaten and raped with the full knowledge of the hero and lee etc, she asked them for help, they knew she needed it, they refused. the rock chicks were bitches to her, sadie forgives way to easily which undermines her character and the book. basically the ice princess should never of left. so at the end of the book, if u the reader has any empathy, u are left feeling sad and frustrated for sadie.

Another well written book by Kristen Ashley. Sadie is a fairy ice princess who has had a protected life. The school of hard knocks suddenly appears with some scenes that may upset some readers. However the hero, Hector and the Rock Chicks come to the rescue with some laughs along the, way. A great read.

I love each one more than the other this series is phenomenal. It is funny yet sexy and it keeps you on the edge guessing whats going to happen next. It is action packed and the sexy macho men are amazing a must read.
Please RateRock Chick Regret
Unfortunately, I can't echo the high ratings. I found the story to be filled with repetitive description of how hot looking the hero is and how all the women and men encountered in the story are gorgeous in one form or the other. The story felt so removed from reality - with the exception of the cafe owner, do any of these women have jobs? They seemed to live these almost high school level lives where they hang out at the cafe, shop, and do each other's make-up.
What I found the most off-putting was the lack of sensitivity and respect towards keeping the heroine's rape confidential. The Rock Chick gang and their men just share this intensely private information to any and all - it doesn't matter if they think the listener is someone sympathetic to the heroine; it's not their story to tell. Also, a doctor would be confronted by an ethics panel for blurting this out in front of a dozen people whom he knows aren't the victim's family - it doesn't matter how much he feels intimidated, he'd be in serious trouble.
The whole different personality types of the heroine: ice princess, new Sadie, sarcastic Sadie, etc., just felt silly. I understand the reasoning behind the heroine putting up a facade and just the ice princess one would have been fine, but all the others made her seem mentally unstable although I think the author was trying to go for charmingly kooky.
Maybe if the story had been cut down more, I too would have succumbed to the magic of the Rock Chick gang. Perhaps just enough detail to chuckle rather than rolling my eyes over the rinse/repeat of girl bonding, danger to the heroine, and personality changes.
