Review:'Fates Divided' is the first novel in the 'Halven Rising' series by Jules Barnard and I really didn't want to put it down. I even tried to stay awake all night just to keep reading this fantastic story. I absolutely loved it.
Soul mates, college students and, unknown to them, Halven, 18 year old Elena Morales and 20 year Derek O'Brien are neighbours who meet for the first time on Elena's 18th Birthday, although Derek has been watching Elena for a couple of months. She's in desperate need ... Read more
Review:Several reviewers have already commented on both of the two stories in here. I will still discuss them briefly, but mainly I will focus on how this version differs from the e-books, since I have both e-books as well and was wondering if the extra features in this paperback were worth getting.
The Prince is from Maxon's perspective, and the original e-book version begins with Maxon's birthday, which is shortly before the start of the selection (I believe that from the way it's written, th... Read more
Review:I am addicted to these books! I was given the first one by a friend, read it within the first 24 hours. I promptly ordered my own box series so that I could keep them and re-read them. I'm already on the third book and just got the box yesterday! They are seriously SO good and SO entertaining to read! Love the author's style of writing and love the story-line of the books :) Read more
Review:I'm probably a little biased since I own all of Kiera Cass's books (sometimes in print and ebook). This is a collection of the novella length companion books to the Selection series -- The Queen, The Prince, The Guard, and The Favorite. I enjoyed the additional illustrations to go along with the novellas. There are also sneak peeks to what I assume are future companion novellas Celeste and The Maid. I agree with the other reviewer that said the "After the One" scene is adorable and well wort... Read more
Review:This was a great book! Loved it from beginning to end. So many of the issues happened while I was growing up. Some of it was before I was born. But the election of Kennedy and his assination happened when I first started Jr. High. There was a lot of history that I remember. This is one of my favorite Steele books. Read more
Review:This was an amazing series that connects both storyline and hearts. I read the Giver when I was younger as a school requirement and read it again as an adult and I've enjoyed it even more. Wonderfully written, I'm now eagerly awaiting if the movie can do The Giver justice. Read more
Review:I really enjoyed the book and would recommend reading it, however the reason I didn't give it 5 stars, was I thought towards the end it drew out a little too long. Other than that it was an enjoyable read and I would encourage reading it. Almost a 5 star rating, I would say a strong 4 plus stars, read it!!!!! Read more
Review:I've impatiently waited for this book for what seems like forever and the wait was well worth it. Brian and Ella are magical together and the rest of the characters make them substantial and believable. I laughed, cried and felt every range of emotion. I can't wait to read it again.
Now how about a book for Vivian and the dad's? Read more
Review:Jack Finney is a compelling writer, but this book left me feeling like I need to read Richard Matheson. It consistently reminded me of the movie "Somewhere in Time". The self-hypnosis. The possessive boyfriend. The Grand Hotel oops...Dakota. It was Somewhere in Time placed in New York with a government project added. Read more
Review:This is a wonderful series and keeps the reader intrigued and guessing as it jumps and twists. You are left hanging on and rooting for the love story at the end of each book anticipating the next one. Read more
