An Affair Before Christmas (Desperate Duchesses - Bk 2)
An Affair Before Christmas (Desperate Duchesses - Bk 2)

Review:I love her books - some more than others but overall she has always been a guaranteed buy. This was the first book of hers that I didn't finish in a day. I did not like Poppy. I enjoyed the side stories alot more than I did hers. For a grown woman to be that slow in so many ways - after 4 years - seems sad to me. I didn't understand why all of a sudden she gained a backbone and tried to make her husband pay! He never did anything wrong - he tried and she acted like a child and wouldn't speak up.... Read more

When Beauty Tamed the Beast (Fairy Tales Book 2)
When Beauty Tamed the Beast (Fairy Tales Book 2)

Review:The hero in When Beauty Tamed the Beast is based off of the character Gregory House, from the TV show House M.D. This made me unsure about picking up the book. While I love House, I was afraid this would read like really awful fanfiction. Luckily, that wasn't the case. When Beauty Tamed the Beast is very light and humorous with engaging characters. There are also a few homages to the TV show casually thrown in (such as the mention of a patient with the last name Cuddy) but they weren't annoying.... Read more

When the Duke Returns (Desperate Duchesses Book 4)
When the Duke Returns (Desperate Duchesses Book 4)

Review:I loved this book and it remains one of my favourites to read. Only thing though, there are more chapters about Jemma from Duchess of Mine than I would have anticipated. Those chapters were interesting and provides greater insight into the next book in the series but felt a bit out of place? Nevertheless, When the Duke Returns is a novel that I will continue to revisit time and time again Read more

The Ugly Duchess (Fairy Tales)
The Ugly Duchess (Fairy Tales)

Review:It is a common enough theme in romance novels where the lucky couple get together briefly, have some fun, become tragically parted, and then regroup a few years later, older and wiser. I think the best of these books have a quick introduction line that says something like "Ten years later . . ."

Ms. James' book instead goes over the seven years that this couple is apart laboriously. The ugly duchess starts several successful businesses, while her erstwhile husband is playing pirate with a... Read more

Review:Didn't read the book when it was originally titled "The Legend of the Werestag", I like How to Catch a Wild Viscount title better. It sounds better and it entices me to read it more. The story of Cecily Hale and Viscount Luke Trenton of Merritt and how their love flourishes. Read more

A Shadow of Death (The Children Of The Gods Paranormal Romance Series Book 17)

Review:I'm a big fan of this series and it's nice to see Turner have his moment. He's sort of a side line character but has always been a mysterious one. I enjoyed getting to know Turner and I'm glad to see the good Dr. getting some, too! Read more

Broken (Broken Trilogy Book 1)
Broken (Broken Trilogy Book 1)

Review:I loved the book. It was easy to read and held my interest. What I did not like is when I went to down load the 2nd book in the 3 book series, Amazon Prime did not allow download unless you joined Kindle Unlimited. I felt deceived. Not cool. Read more

Doctor-Patient Confidentiality - Volume One (Confidential #1)
Doctor-Patient Confidentiality - Volume One (Confidential #1)

Review:A story that at first was slow but got better. It was confusing because the reader has a lot of questions about the patient Ramona that are not answered.
But it is a very good read and enjoyable. The characters are well developed and the story line is well written. I hate cliffhangers but I am excited the read more about these two characters.
The story has twists and turns and lots of emotional ups and downs. It has chemistry, passion and lust.
A short quick read.

I volunteered t... Read more
