Review:Writing is very good, as would be expected from this author. But the plot feels contrived in some places, and the ending comes way too soon and without clean-up details. There is little consolidation with her other vampire novels. Disappointing since this could have been more.

Review:This is a breathtaking tale of Brundar and Calyspo's journey into love. Brundar is such a complex being with a sense of devotion to the order and a cold dark exterior. The author lets us into his head and we see so much more. Calyspo is rescued from a dangerous spouse and a loveless marriage by Brundar.
