Review:In general, I think Kenyon is a fantastic writer. But the litany of awful things the hero goes through was a little too much for me. Even half of his "trouble" would have been enough to make me sympathetic. A great read in a new, intriguing universe. Read more
Review:Having read all her Dark Hunter series, I most enjoy the sarcastic wit she gives her characters. The research she has done into various mythologies is impressive. I would, however, would have liked a glossary of sorts in the back of the book that readers can reference when we need to refresh our memories of a particular character or mythological occurrence . It's distracting to have to stop and look up something that was explained in a past book. Read more
Review:I have to say that this is a great book. There is some rehash of old stories but since Aimee and Fang's story runs concurrently with all the other DH novels starting with Talon's (and they were in many of those stories) it had to be done. So yes there is some repeat but I prefer getting a full story especially since this pairing went against all the werehunter rules. Read more
Review:Man oh man, what a story! Zarek I simply loooooooove you!
SK manages to infuse into her books 'main men' who are real ... they may be sexy "beasts" but SK's message (if you ask me) is that you always need to look under the exterior: don't judge a book by it's cover! Just because these guys are a little rough around the edges doesn't mean they don't have their own stories to tell or that they can't make absolutely awesome 'heros' in a romance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Zarek's character is dee... Read more
Review:In Sherrilyn Kenyon's alternate reality, gods exist and demons stalk the earth preying on humans. However, Artemis -- of Mount Olympus fame -- has set up her own commando team of immortal warriors to kick daimon butt and protect the fragile humans. Led by the ever intriguing Acheron Parthenopaeus, the Dark Hunters are rowdy, gorgeous and sometimes even slightly insane. But each of them is bigger than life and each has a story to tell. NIGHT EMBRACE is Talon's tale.

Review:First off with the positives. Both characters were likeable, the story wasn't too mired in feuding gods, it was a nice easy read with her characteristic banter and I actually read it through quickly and enjoyably. There was less heavy swearing (why do they have to have foul mouths to be considered Alpha Males?), the hero didn't spend the ENTIRE book thinking about sex and how to get her into bed (one of her previous books was like that) and we didn't have a lot of 'gods' interaction. All plus... Read more
Review:Very repetitive, I guess these sort of books are cool if you're a chick and into unrealistic love stories. Guy is rich buys a luxury condo with some sick amenities yet can't buy a damn ring lol also this "bites lip" lines ok enough. Last two books I've bought through Amazon have been huge mistakes. I have my suspicions on the amount of 5 star reviews! Read more
Review:I've purchased parts of this book three times now, I should be getting some of my money back at this point. No more will be going out when there is no effort put in, your characters aren't the only "contentious asses" out there.
If it were just this series would be bad enough, but this has become the norm for all of her last books across the board. So many cross overs and interwoven story lines, even she can't keep them straight anymore. My kids had read the Nick Chronicles but stopped... Read more
Review:I understand it was not supposed to be a "novel-sized" book, as others have said, but it seems to be a trend (with the exception of Ash's book)with SK- shorter stories with less ability of the reader to become immersed in the characters. I miss stories like the 1st 4-5 books of the series, when I couldn't put the thing down at night! I know it must be hard to do all the author does, so maybe she should concentrate on 1 series for a bit and see if she can get that old feeling back. Fingers cro... Read more
