Review:I was surprised to find that you still need equipment. I am disappointed to see that. There is good information here if, you are new to HIIT. But if your not new, you may be disappointed to find this information is already out there in several books and all over the web. It's just another re-package of the information. Read more
Review:While the book gives good information it doesn't give any specific exercise progressions, which could leads to people who don't know enough about exercise to injure themselves. It would have gotten my highest endorsement had it included basic, intermediate and advanced exercises. I'm a CPT so I know what all is involved but the average user wouldn't have a clue. Read more
Review:This book gave me insight, but also confirmed a few things I suspected to be true. I recommend it for everyone who is questioning their relationship or about to start one or any other relationship status. Read more
Review:I bought this book to gain insight. Instead I found an alchemist trying to discuss chemistry. I should have known from the title. We have/are a brain not a mind. Reading this book is painful. One of his first tasks Pnker undertakes is to criticize behavioral science. He calls it stimulus response. Behavioral science gives six causes for human behavior:
1. Genetic Endowment
2. Pre-natal chemical environment
3. Post-natal chemical environment
4. Classical conditioning(Pavlov)
Review:A really good book in the analysis of the present situation with the "Deep State" but weak on a possible solution. The system can't be reformed. I fear the best we can hope for is either a Soviet style collapse or another bloody Civil War. Pessimistic yes but at least it is 20 years away. Read more
Review:The editing, or lack thereof, does not detract from the fact that I really believe the fireman. Remember that he was young & dumb as most of us are at that age. I'm furious that our judicial system is so broken. Sad. We should be ashamed. Read more
Review:Well-researched book about the The Green River Killer, Gary Ridgeway. While this book certainly pays tribute to the many young women whose lives were senselessly snuffed out without a second thought by this "killing machine" - Ann Rule is not a particularly gifted writer, in my opinion.
The book was very detailed though and it is obvious how much time and energy she put into researching the life of such a chilling murderer who so clearly had no remorse for all of the lives he ended.
Review:Why is this book important when there are so many excellent resources - including Sher's other books? Because if you happen to be a Scanner, and if you always felt vaguely - or NOT so vaguely - uncomfortable about not settling into one interest or one perfect career, then this is the validation you've been looking for. And if you get nothing more than the realization that you are not alone out there, well, in my book that's a lot.
Of course - since I'm currently a coach focusing on transi... Read more
Review:Well written book that included many insights into RFK and his sense of loyalty to family and friends, while bringing out RFK' s strong sense of justice. Also provided insight into the author and his experiences in this milieu. Read more
Review:Very well written, quick read, grabs your attention and keeps it through to the end! I love true stories, it reminds you that you really don't know what goes on behind closed doors, or what someone may be facing,. Of course this could also be a case of mental health issues. Read more
