The Left Hand of Darkness (Ace Science Fiction)
The Left Hand of Darkness (Ace Science Fiction)

Review:I really struggled with the names and foreign/fabricated words. It was very distracting, making it difficult to maintain the continuity of the story. When I have to keep rereading pages, I know I’m struggling. I did become engaged with the main characters, so that is a positive. I do appreciate how challenging it would be to write such a novel. Beyond Shame (Beyond, Book 1)
Beyond Shame (Beyond, Book 1)

Review:In a dystopian future, City of Eden residents are sheltered from the sectors and their rough ways. This book is a perfect psychological look at an Eden resident who finds herself - literally and figuratively- in Sector 4 where everyone is free. But freedom also means giving it up. The characters have depth. They learn and change. Reminiscent of The Hunger Games in a way, Noelle fights for her freedom only to find it when she gives it up. Read more

A Rock Star Contemporary Gay Romance - Perfect Imperfections
A Rock Star Contemporary Gay Romance - Perfect Imperfections

Review:The relationship between to two MC was so funny and real that I just had to keep reading to see where it was going and what they would say or do next. The way the author handled Jeremy coming to terms with his sexuality was new and explained very well. I loved how Reg was all on Jeremy's side, but never let him get away with anything, keeping him in line and grounded. I literally LOL several times in reading this over some of the things they said to each other. It was like sitting and listen... Read more

Dying for a Living
Dying for a Living

Review:This sci-fi book took me by surprise. Characters you love, hate, and wonder about. I quickly got addicted to this series and have read all but one. While there is seemingly a clear villain that emerges, the light-hearted interactions offset our heroine's clearly dark past as she cares for her friend Ally, her dog, connects with other diverse characters, and makes self discoveries while acting to save many people from dying. It is a hoot! Read more

Review:I thought the character development was excellent and you definitely kept the story interesting. The twists and turns at times were predictable but not always which I enjoyed and also hated if I couldn’t keep reading at that point. Read more
