Short Stories
Review:Most of these I have ready previously. None seemed as well crafted as the books. Felt a little as if I was a convenient wallet being opened... Also, not fond of the weirdness going on with Maggie... Just wanting my good old Harry Dresden books back on track again! Read more
Review:The short stories each show an interesting look into the lives of a person's life though they all are interesting enough in their own way. One of my favorites would be "The Second Bakery Attack" which is a short story about a man and his wife who are haunted by an unbearable hunger and so to break the curse they end up robbing a McDonalds. The stories are all intriguing in their own way and everyone of them is as good as the last. I would recommend this to people that love the other works of Har... Read more
Review:I love Brandon Sanderson books. He is an excellent author and storyteller. The worlds that he creates are amazing and the characters in them make you want to read more and more about each. This is a great collection of his novellas and introductions/glimpses into some of the worlds of the cosmere. Read more
Review:This is a promising start to a new comtempory series. We have the requisite hot tattooed gentlemen but with lots of great twists. He is kind. He took care of his dying mother and his just returned from war brother. He is not a bad boy and while not a virgin by a long stretch he isn't a man ho and does not treat women like objects until he meets the one. Best of all, he puts his life on hold so the heroine can achieve her dreams. I give you, Jace, awesome hero.

Review:I bought this as a gift for my husband, who has read and enjoyed some of Gaiman's other work (e.g., American Gods). This book of short stories was a departure from what he had previously read, but he liked it so much he read it all in an afternoon. If you are familiar with Gaiman and enjoy his writing style, this book will not disappoint. Recommended. Read more
Review:Seeing a happy family, especially everything they had endured, warmed my heart. This book brings peace and joy; maybe the holiday season but seeing the normal happily ever after was the perfect end to the series Read more
Review:the book is amazing. kind of graphic if your not into that sort of book, but I could not put it down. the only thing that disappointed me was the ending, it's too abrupt for the kind of story that the author portrayed Read more
Review:This story just didn't have the same emotional aspects that the other books in this series does. Seems to be filled with just raunchy sex scenes and not any love making scenes. Loved all the others in this series but should have skipped this one. I initially skipped it but then went back thinking that the reviews were wrong. Shoulda listened. Read more
Review:The author is new to me; a friend recommended I read it. I am still perplexed: are the stories meant to be characters caught "in the moment;" or is there something else going on. I am not sure. It hasn't caught fire with me, yet, but I am willing to give it time. Read more
