Review:Most of the stories in Stephen King's first new collection of short fiction in nine years are pretty darn eventual. As the narrator of the title story, "Everything's Eventual," points out, if you want to say something's awesome, but you don't want to sound like every other Joe, you say it's eventual.
Stephen King is a much different writer today than he was when he penned the direct, but effective horror stories in the late sixties and early seventies that comprised his first collection of sh... Read more
Review:This book does an excellent job of showing how equally horrifying real-life abuse and supernatural horror can be. (And for those of you who don't think the depictions of abuse in this book are 100% realistic, you're living a blessed, naive life.) As a King fan, it took me a while to get around to this novel since it's not one of his more popular ones. However, it's a total page-turner, and his characteristic visceral style will have you in a fit of anxiety waiting to see what happens next. My on... Read more
Review:Dean Koontz's Hideaway is an interesting, thrilling novel that explores the nature of good and evil. Koontz takes no shortcuts; he brings out the horror in every scene. The only fault was that, like much of his work, the conclusion was not totally satisfying. It builds us up for a gargantuam conclusion, but only gives us an abrupt, unmemorable ending. However, compared with all the other assets in the book, from the terrific heroes to the memorably sadistic villain, it hardly matters. Read more

Review:I am sorry Darlings ( mass send out for several authors).
I got into a reading OCD mode, so I fell behind in writting reviews.
I am in the process of correcting that & hope I get to all of the books soon. Read more
Review:A fun story, love the creativity around parallel universes. Definitely became enthralled and eager to turn the pages. Although, I didn't give it the full five stars because I don't think this was one of Stephen kings better pieces. I don't think it was meant to be either, but still a good read. Read more
Review:Way too much musings of what lead character thought. I didn't even finish the book . I found it extremely boring having to read what the lead character was thinking all the time. A lot of back and forth about took place in her mind about past books in the series as if the thought or intention was never completed. Move on already. When I first started the series I got hooked, now I'll never purchase another because the stories remind of a 50s sci-fi campy movie. Read more
Review:A good series, with many twists and turns. Shannon Meyer is a fantastic author with a great imagination. I just wish Abe would stay in the picture. So much protection, maybe that can continue somehow. Read more
Review:After reading this book, and my experiences with past Clancy books, it makes it hard for me to believe that he doesn't still live on through these adventures. There is Clancy on every page and I rated all his books with five stars. A spell binding read. Read the entire book in two days. Couldn't put it down. (I read electronically with my Kindle fire!)
