Review:The greatest positive about this book is that it moves...and moves well. The greatest negative is its blood and gore. That is problem for me, and I understand that. Characters were well drawn, although I did get mixed a lot with the two Isrealis.
I also read "The English Girl" and liked it better. Think I will take a rest from Silva! Read more
Review:One of the best in the Gabriel Allon series. Highlights the problems the Jewish people had in several areas during and after WW2 along with a plot that is rivoting. For some reason this was the last of the series that I read. Perhaps saving the best for last!!! Read more
Review:Frankly, No one comes close to Brad Taylor in the genre of Intelligence/Special Operations fiction, due to his real-world experience as an Operator at the highest levels. Anyone a fan of spy novels or anything of the sort will love Taylor's series. Read more
Review:Tier One Wild is an excellent sequel to Black Site. I enjoyed it more than the first, and am looking forward to the next. While accepting the assault of a plane in motion requires some willing suspension of disbelief, it is that sort of esprit that operators do have an enables them to perform the actual exploits that purchase our liberty against an enemy that will use whatever means of warcraft against us that they can. Review:A well crafted series. The plot moves between worlds and times but does it very well indeed. The characters are well rounded and the plotline flows like a river, with currents and eddies. I commend it to you! Read more
Review:My favorite aspect of this story was it's Irishness. Is that a thing? If not, it should be. The story involves an Irish-American family, proud of their heritage and operating a family pub in New York City, named Finnegans. Most of the characters were of Irish descent and they just had a wonderful and supportive community base that centered around the pub. The love and support between the Finnegan family was plain to see... but they had an extended family of sorts with regulars at the pub, which ... Read more
Review:Very good and Very Smooth. Overall I enjoyed this book from start to finish. The characters are lively, the setting is grim. Had a couple minor gripes about the lack of info on certain events talked about, and the ending is a little rushed like the first book in this series. However that does fit into the way a lot of movies have been written lately so one could only speculate there might be some interest into that. If you liked Tomorrow War or Day by Day Armageddon I think you will enjoy this... Read more
Review:The story drug on without a heavy plot. The story leader was in constant argument with his father-in-law, both at home and at the office, because the son-in-law was never good enough for his daughter. And so it went to the end of dad's life and the end of the book. Read more
