A Medical Thriller (The Plague Trilogy Book 2)

Rain (David Wolf Book 11)

Review:Jeff Carson did it again. A very, very good story about David Wolf and the other people in the book who are now favorites for me. I must say though that the last 25% of the book was the best part for me. Read more

Heart of a Killer: A Thriller
Heart of a Killer: A Thriller

Review:While I love the Andy Carpenter novels, as fun as they are they have also gotten predictable. Everything is the greatest, dogs are front and center, and Andy acts like Kevin O'Brian's sidekick.

The lawyer in this novel, Jamie Wagner, conveys all the witty writing of Rosenfelt without being so predictable. All in all, I think Mr. Rosenfelt just stepped up onto the main stage of mystery writers. Read more

Murder in Mind (Sloane Monroe Book 2)

Review:Like reading novels by this author, she handles each story line in the appropriate manner, not too much fillers which kind of suprised me, since I feel most female authors throw in too much fillers. I will purchase more novels from her. Read more

No Place Like Home: A Novel
No Place Like Home: A Novel

Review:No Place Lie Home by Mary Higgins Clark

Daddy’s Little Girl was the last book by Clark I read. There was a familiarty of style that came through on this book. At first I thought I was rereading a story but the stories are not the same. I guess it is style. This was a good mystery with a satisfyingly complex plot.

Clark has a young woman with a troubled past as her protagonist in this book. She has a lot of self doubt and a measure of self loathing. She is thrust into a psycho... Read more

By Your Side (Crisis Team Book 1)
By Your Side (Crisis Team Book 1)

Review:Candace Calvert has once again written a winner! BY MY SIDE is a wonderful mix of romance, suspense and humor. Of course, the medical situations in this book, as well as her other books is spot on. Her years as an ER nurse shine through in her novels. Nothing better than writing from the heart and this is what Candace Calvert does well. Her humorous personality can also be found in the pages of her books. My reviews contain no spoilers... I feel that you can read the synopsis to get a better id... Read more

A Thriller (The Scot Harvath Series Book 2) - Path of the Assassin
A Thriller (The Scot Harvath Series Book 2) - Path of the Assassin

Review:Somehow the author misses the mark in the thriller category. Whenever it's supposed to be exciting, it becomes predictable, leaving one wondering when things were going to take off. Instead, the story just keeps rambling along until it quits. There's not one single surprising twist in the plot. I found it very easy to put down. Read more
