If You Give a Moose a Muffin
If You Give a Moose a Muffin

Review:I find that a child's enjoyment & subsequent 'attachment' to a book or story is related to the enthusiasm with which it is read to them. This book is written to be read aloud. The story is fun and the illustrations are wonderfully done making it easy to present a captivating reading to your child. Read more

Stellaluna
Stellaluna

Review:This book kept my young son enthralled night after night. The illustrations are beautifully rich, and there is a small "parallel" story of the mother's search for her baby along the margins. It's a sweet story and the illustrations give a young child a lot to look at. Read more

Warriors: Power of Three Box Set: Volumes 1 to 6
Warriors: Power of Three Box Set: Volumes 1 to 6

Review:My daughter is obsessed with the Warriors books and these did not disappoint. She read the entire set in less than a week and was ready to move on to the next set.
Great story line and the books are both challenging and still not too grown up for an almost 10 yr old to read. As a parent of a child who reads well above her age range it is hard to find a book, or book series that is safe enough for her to read but that is still challenging, so I am happy she found this series and they have ma... The Honest Truth
The Honest Truth

Review:"The Honest Truth" by Dan Gemeinhart is a wonderful book for the middle school, teen, and YA audiences as well as the old adult audience as well. It's a well developed story with engaging characters and dialogue. It has terrific flow and descriptions that paint a vivid picture of scenes and what's going on.

This is a book that is a good one for parents to read before the younger range it's targeted for to allow for discussion of some of the more difficult topics within it. It makes for a ... Read more

Strictly No Elephants
Strictly No Elephants

Review:I purchased one copy to donate this Christmas, then bought another as a gift for my six year old. One of the best children's stories I have read in a very long time, this book is fantastic for teaching a gentle lesson about acceptance and friendship. The illustrations are beautiful as well, and I know this will be one of those treasured stories my daughter returns to again and again. Read more

Thumb (Bright & Early Board Books)
Thumb (Bright & Early Board Books)

Review:Love this book. I gave it four stars just because I should have checks the dimensions better and the pages tear very easily, which is unfortunate. I will need another one either bigger or in board book style. Read more

Dog Ate My Mad Libs
Dog Ate My Mad Libs

Review:If your kids are learning the parts of speech, this is such a fun game for them. My grandkids are 10 and 7 and they loved it and laughed so much. I filled in certain blanks in a story (noun, verb, etc.) according to what the kids said and then they read the story back. When you pick a random noun and then read it in a specific sentence, it can be pretty funny. Great learning tool. Would be good for a car or airplane trip too. Read more

Llama Llama Home with Mama
Llama Llama Home with Mama

Review:Bought this (among other llama books) for my daughter. The rhymes somehow really stay with her and she's often able to finish the second half of a passage once I start the first. I think the llamas look a little freaky sometimes but maybe that's just me. Read more

Llama Llama Hoppity-Hop
Llama Llama Hoppity-Hop

Review:Llama Llama Hoppity-Hop is a great learning book! It has fun, silly rhymes like "Llama llama, touch your toes" and has a picture of the Llama touching her toes. It's great because when you are reading the book to your kids, they learn about their body parts. My daughter was about 14 months when I bought this book, and it was really exciting to read the "touch your toes" and she would grab her toes! Same with the next page that read "tap your head", which she would do!! Now she is 17 months ... Read more
