Review:Hello, I'm StoryMaker. While glancing at the bookshelf, I spotted The World of Pooh - an old, brown copy with no dust jacket - and was inspired to review it.
The World of Pooh is a very good book. It is the original, classic, A. A. Milne Pooh, and a lot of it. Timeless & simple, it is a must for young & old. The red-shirt-free, non-Disney, classic Pooh books by A. A. Milne are old, but to this very day satisfy young children. That's the magic about it.
Why is the classic Po... Read more
Review:Book looked like it had never been opened except for the huge "THIS BOOK BELONGS TO ARTHUR" in huge black permanent marker on the back. No other complaints. I hope Arthur liked the book as much as we do :-) Read more
Review:My 3-yr-old granddaughter loves this book. The only down side is that she's played with the flaps so many times that two of them have torn off, and they're not so easily taped back on. But that doesn't bother her at all, so I have no complaints. :)
The illustrations are very close to the originals and not like those counterfeit Disney imitations, which is a plus. Read more
Review:I originally purchased this book because it was such a "twist" on the Three Little Pigs and was curious about it. It became one of my family's favorites because it's so different. Enjoyable reading and a good ending. The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig (Pop Up Books) Read more
Review:A favorite of all youngsters especially among those that have participated in the R.E.A.D. program. While, the subject may be funny the inderling theme at the end is you keep your dog no matter what,!! Read more
Review:When potty training my daughter she picked up the pee pee part first but was having trouble going poop in the potty. She would wait until she had her pull up or just go in her pants. I was so frustrated because she had gone 1 or 2 times without issue and then a week without 1 poop in the potty. Out of desperation I ordered this book and also 'Everyone poops' but this was BY FAR her favorite (she wasn't even interested in the other book). She loves the flaps and at the end we clap and make a ... Read more
Review:Love this book. I gave it four stars just because I should have checks the dimensions better and the pages tear very easily, which is unfortunate. I will need another one either bigger or in board book style. Read more
Review:Cute presentation, but language is foul (not fowl). Of course, I'm an old prude. This is NOT a book that can be read in front of grandma, the preacher, the kids... Not worth the money for the author to show off his potty-mouth. I don't often trash a book, but this one's leaving my library before it gets in. Also not going to be part of anyone else's library. Review:The Authors seem intent on scarring children with unnecessary, graphic descriptions of dogs dying in this post apocalyptic world fit for neither man nor beast. This series is written by a collaboration of authors who each seem to delight in one upping each another in the telling of this morbid tale. Read more
Review:Good start to the Alpha and Omega series of books. I'm glad I read the prequel before this novel, it gives more insight into how Anna became a wolf and how she was hurt by her first pack.
Cry Wolf explores Anna and Charles' relationship. This is not a "she falls in love and all her past hurts are forgotten" type of book. Anna particularly has problems that anyone with a traumatic past would have with new intimacy, especially since it is their Wolves who have chosen each other before their hum... Read more
