Love this book. I gave it four stars just because I should have checks the dimensions better and the pages tear very easily, which is unfortunate. I will need another one either bigger or in board book style.

I bought this book for my Grandaughter. I first used it with my own daughter. I loved to read it in a rhythm as though a drum was beating. My daughter memorized it and somehow learned to read on her own after that.

My daughter's favorite book of all time! The rhyme and rhythm is practically hypnotic. Highly recommended. We have quite a few of this series and have borrowed others from the library. In my opinion, this is the best of the series.

Grandfather's favorite book for introducing youngsters to the fun of rhythm and words. Wonderful for reading/bonding as they drum drum drum along to the reading. This is NOT a hum drum, hum drum, hum drum hum book, even with those words in play.

The pictures are bright and colorful, and the verses are very rhythmic. You can almost hear drums when you read it (I know that sounds weird). My daughter coos at this book the whole way through, and loves holding and turning the pages herself. Excellent vintage, Suess-like book!
