Beautiful book about the moon and what a father will do to make his daughter happy. The main problem of the book: I got a small size! I thought I bought the bigger version of it. But the story is still great and you can read it perfectly well.

Not sure why there are negative reviews about the size of the book, the one I recieved seemed normal size. But the story is just stupid. It doesn't flow very well, papa gets her the moon, which gets smaller and smaller, then disappears, then is back in the sky again and gets bigger and bigger. The end. Really don't know why anyone thinks this is a good book. I love the other Eric Carle books we have, but this is a total dud

Before you order this book, check the dimensions. I was expecting a "regular" size book, but what I got was a "mini" version which was too small to hold up to show the pictures to my preschool class! I did get a refund from the store after contacting them about it, however.

Bought the board book and the paperback. Both are small. The board book doesn't have all the pages the paperback does... part of the storyline is just left out, which makes having a 2 year old and a 4 year old reading the same book difficult.

Great book for early readers. The reading/words are easy to follow for new readers. It moves quickly if youi have a child with short attention span, or you can take the time and expand on ideas and stories for each page.

My kids love this book. The Eric Carle illustrations are great, and it is also a fun story. The book has several pages that unfold, so our copy has gotten a little beat up. The fold out pages are a great gimic for a kids book, but it can get more beat up than most board books.

Another great story from Eric Carle. My three year old son loves many of Eric Carle's books, and this one does not disappoint. My only complaint is the actual size of the book. It is much smaller than I anticipated. Although the size is smaller than I would have liked it, it is great for little hands!

This book is among my daughter's favorites. She is nearly two years old and has already dog-eared and torn some pages, she literally has enjoyed the book to pieces. This has turned out to be a perfect book for her because she absolutely loves the moon. Seattle winter's don't offer many opportunities for even glimpses of the moon. It's also about a girl and her papa which is something nice for dads to share. Don't expect this book to physically withstand the curious hands of infants. It's not tough like a board book!

I wanted to purchase this book for my grandson because one evening he had asked his Daddy to reach for the moon. I thought this book would be something special for them to share together. It is a very good book, but I wish the size of the book had been mentioned below the title. It stated the book was hard covered, so I was expecting a much bigger book. I was very disappointed when I saw how small it is. If I had known this when looking for the book, I would have searched until I found one that was larger.

Eric Carle books were terrific. These were purchased for a preschool and the children loved having the teachers read the story. They ask for them over and aver again. they also enjoy listening to the cd while eating lunch. :)
