Getting Smart About Your Private Parts - Amazing You!
Getting Smart About Your Private Parts - Amazing You!

Review:impressed with this book. Not too much information,, very straightforward. I read it to my 5 year old and 8 year old boys. I think I should have started earlier with the 8 year old. I would recommend the "Its so amazing " book for 8 year old + ages,, and also would recommend "You mean its not the stork?" book for 5+ year olds. Both are informative and can be read in pieces to what you see fit. Read more

Little Explorers: My Amazing Body
Little Explorers: My Amazing Body

Review:There are not pictures from the publisher so I took a risk and order it. As part of the different kinds of people, here is an extraterrestrial type of being. Not Factual. Aliens are not real, and even if they were this is not a book about life outer space. Read more

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Review:I purchased this book for my daughter's first birthday. I have always loved this poem and was so excited when I found it in a picture book. Susan Jeffers does a great job illustrating. The pictures are beautiful. I plan to give my daughter a special book each year and I am so glad I was able to start with this one. Read more

Review:Very impressed with the quality of this coloring book. Very detailed pictures and was quite surprised how many layers you included, muscle, bones, etc. I want one for myself. I work at an equine hospital! Read more

Hello, World! Solar System
Hello, World! Solar System

Review:My 2-year-old loves the bright and busy illustrations in this book. I love that there's something here for all ages. My 8-month-old and 2-year-old enjoy pointing out things in the busy illustrations, while my 8-year-old enjoys learning pretty sophisticated facts about the solar system. In fact, dad and I learned a few things reading this book! Definitely recommended. Read more

National Geographic Readers - Caterpillar to Butterfly
National Geographic Readers - Caterpillar to Butterfly

Review:Great non-fiction book for my son who craves them. This book is about a second grade reading level- lots of non-standard reading vocab for a beginning reader to know- which can't be helped when you're talking about pupae, chrysalis, and other scientific words! Lots of full color pictures and not a horrible amount of words on each page (don't you just cringe when your kid brings you a National Geographic? "Don't skip, mom!")
I'm trying to get my going-into-second grade son to be interested in ... Read more

Wolves of the Beyond #2: Shadow Wolf
Wolves of the Beyond #2: Shadow Wolf

Review:Well normally sequels are not as good as the first. Not in this case this book Wolves of the Beyond Shadow Wolf was great. If you read the first you have to read the second. I will not say to much about the book in effort not to spoil it. Foalan has now joined a clan and is the lowest ranking member. He has only one chance to move up in rank. However he must first simply survive being a low member and face down many challenges and fight his way up. That's pretty what the book is about. Anyway wa... Read more

Favorite Roses Coloring Book (Dover Nature Coloring Book)
Favorite Roses Coloring Book (Dover Nature Coloring Book)

Review:The pictures themselves are good but a little bit to childish. I would prefer softer more pencil sketch type. There could be a better variety of "poses" for me also. Maybe a full plant and a small in ground view. Read more

The Night Fairy
The Night Fairy

Review:This is a story of persistence. Grounded because of an encounter with a bat that injured her wings, our young heroine learns to survive in an adverse environment. Using her wits and the ability to cast spells (an inborn instinct that must be mastered as it is learned) she becomes friends with several creatures that could do her harm. The conclusion demonstrates that hatred has little value but friendship is truly valuable. Read more

What Do You See? Board Book - Panda Bear
What Do You See? Board Book - Panda Bear

Review:I thought getting kindle version of books would help transition my two year old into a bedtime routine of reason before bed. But it never worked because we always needed the light on and that would keep her up. She uses my kindle all the time so I want to try reading before bed because I won't need the light on. It's a reasonable, cheap price and seems worth it. I'll most likely invest the money in more kindle version books. Read more
