Review:Ok this book has everything the ultimate edition should have: the drawings are the same, the story is all there, and the extra interviews or the extra info that they were to add are ALL THERE.... BUT it does not have the cool colorful pictures in the beginning :(
I thought for a moment that I didn't get an original copy, which I am still not sure, but everything is there so I trust that I'm getting a good deal here. The shipping is fast though so if you are addicted to Fruits Basket (like me)... Read more
Review:Like many Avatar: the Last Airbender fans, I was distressed when Nick Magazine went out-of-print- thus removing the chance to read several comics that were promised us. This book contains not only those lost comics-which contain some pretty amazing stores-but all other NickMag comics as well. It also has a few pages of concept art, and information on the crew of the show, and the people involved in the comics (which was pretty much the crew of the show :P). This is definitely a great buy for fan... Read more
Review:I discovered this series. I made the mistake of showing another otaku because my screen had the Japanese version on my desktop. In logic class I had shown another person, and then suddenly this manga exploded. I found that everyone was reading it because it was listed as no. 1. So now I am supporting the english translation officially by purchasing a copy.
I liked the storyline because the characters seem real. I don't want to spoil the story but there's moments comparable to clannad, but... Read more
Review:Writing a successful YA series that appeals to tweens, teenagers and adults alike (such as Harry Potter and The Hunger Games) is quite a skill and not one that this series achieves.
While I think teenagers would probably quite enjoy this series, as an adult I found it far too long and drawn out, overtly cheesy and predictable. You know the plot lacks intelligence when you can easily predict the ending before you have even picked up the fourth and last book.
The only character I rea... Read more
Review:The mystery of Everlue Mansion is wrapped up in the first half of this manga. The ending is sweet and satisfying, except for Lucy, who was expecting to get more out of the mission.
On returning to their guild hall, Fairy Tail, a big fight breaks out between Natsu and Gray. The fight expands into a bar room brawl involving most of the wizards at Fairy Tail. The fight is broken up by the arrival of Erza, a very powerful wizard. She uses Requip magic, that lets her switch weapons and armor i... Read more
Review:Ghost in the Shell was my first foray into manga. I started my interest by playing a playstation game based on the story or video.
WOW. I was really drawn in by the depth of the story, the details of the drawings, and even the margin notes on the concepts described. His vision of this cyber world was so rich and fascinating. He explores multiple interactions between human and machine exhistence and interaction.
Well worth the trip! Read more
Review:The year: 2029. The situation: Government Cyber-brainwashing facility out of hand. Solution: Major Kusanagi.
The year: 2029. The situation: Terrorist hunting to kill Major Kusanagi. Solution: Major Kusanagi herself.
Situation: Illegal cyborg production involves copying of children's minds. Solution: Major Kusanagi.
Major Kusanagi is a anti-terrorist agent with a twist, she's a Ghost in the Shell. Fending off government conspiracies, terrorist vendettas and garbagemen, Kusanagi is a f... Read more
Review:James Patterson's fantastic story is one again brought to life in this fantastical manga. Although, I will admit, I don't know what's going on in the story because icing only read up to the party where Max realizes that Dr. Martinez is her mom and they all fly away. But in saving up to buy the rest of the books and the ones I've already read. Read more
Review:I am a fan of the series. Honestly, I thought it was a very good read, although frustrating between Dylan and Fang. I love Fang, but this book kind of makes you like Dylan a little too. However, the wait for the last book is much too long! JP ends "Angel" with a massive cliffhanger! And we have to wait a flippin' YEAR to find out what happens! Other than unresolved issues and a frustrating romantic plot, this book was a pretty good one. Not the best of the series, but it definitely holds your at... Read more
Review:I enjoyed the entire James Patterson Maximum Ride series. It was fast paced and gripping. The storyline is perfect for young adult readers as well as adult readers. Each book left you wanting more. It would be great to see another book down the road showing how the characters have grown up and continued in the world they live. All in all, a fantastic series!
