Review:I thought this would be a nice creepy ghost story. While it was a ghost story, it lacked suspense. The plot was predictable, and the characters were flat. On the plus side, it was free, so at least I didn't waste any money. Read more
Review:Purchased this for someone who has anxiety that is crippling her life. I selected this book because I felt she had reached a point where she was mad enough about her anxiety to say, as the title states--"F-Anxiety"! This book is an honest and humorous take on anxiety that gives helpful techniques on coping. I didn't give it 5 stars because the book itself is too short. And although my recipient loved it, this book is not for everyone. Read more
Review:It was nice to get Ekatarin's voice again, and in something that was local for the Vorkosigans. No high drama, gotta-save-a-world, a smaller challenge met, wrestling with the best outcome possible.
The lack of deep politics was restful Read more
Review:This is a "locked room" mystery, one of the earliest. The person was killed with the doors and windows of the room locked and he with the key in his pocket Of course, this makes the police believe it is a suicide and refuse to investigate. Agatha Christie makes Poirot such a pompous funny man that it is interesting to see how she maneuvers him into using his little gray cells to solve the unsolvable mystery. It was one I hadn't read before. Don't know where It came from. Thought I had read them... Read more
Review:I did not find this read soulful. I thought this collection of poems felt rushed and generic. What a waste of an amazing title. "I hope this reaches her in time" does not live up to it's lofty headliner. Within the first five pages there are printing errors from not enough ink. Not that the poems themselves have much substance. Everything written feels like it was taken straight off a Facebook post. I really wish I would have done more research on this author but the reviews made me jump the gun... Read more
Review:Oscar Wilde must have been quite the character in his day. This play about mistaken identity is not only laugh out loud funny but cutting at the same time. He skewers the upper class with his observations about their behaviour. No wonder it has been done in countless theaters over the years and been made into at least one film that I can think of. In this first book of the Bluestocking Brides Series we meet Amelia Chadwick and Nicholas Wentword. Amelia is the oldest of the Chadwick sisters, The “responsible” one. Review:This book contains 3 short Harry Bosch stories. One story is written when Harry is working on cold cases but reaches back to when he first started in law enforcement as a street cop. I enjoyed all 3 stories, even though they are really short and am anxiously awaiting the next Harry Bosch book. I love this character! Read more
Review:I almost fell for the negative reviews and passed on this one. What a mistake it would have been. After having read all other published works it was just right as a fill in before the release The Drop. Read more
