Review:This was suggested to my by my professor and I really don't feel like it gives me anything I haven't already learned in my undergrad and now grad classes in counseling. For a non student I can see where this could be helpful. Read more
Review:Postman's book is a harsh diatribe against the television industry and its effects on intellectual discourse in the United States. Postman argues that television, especially when compared to the written word, cannot foster deep, rational thought in its viewers, because it requires absolute passivity from them. Television can only be about entertainment, and its cultural dominance, Postman argues, has had negative effects on education, politics, and religion.
The first half the book dedica... Read more
Review:This book was recommended as something "all women of all sizes" should read on a blog I follow. The amazon description also implies that it's a self-love promoting book for everyone. Within the first few chapters, it becomes apparent that the target audience is obese women, not "women of all sizes" and there's next to nothing in it for women of a not-obese size who have body image issues. Around the entire chapter yelling at me that obese women are often healthier than "skinny" women, which ju... Read more
Review:This book was difficult to read because there were so many basic grammatical errors and misspellings. There were numerous incorrect facts. It seemed like it was more about getting as much in as possible without really paying attention to the basics of writing. I would not recommend this book. Read more
Review:Whether you're into mindset, politics, or media/marketing, you'll enjoy this book. There's so much value to get from this book and it will truly enrich your knowledge base.
The parts that added the most value for me though were the mindset and media/marketing parts. I've been following following Mike at dangerandplay ever since the beginning of this year and he's always delivered value no matter what. This book is a continuation of that.
In MAGA mindset, Mike reveals more about the... Read more

Review:A disturbing but incredibly fascinating story, especially how the government was heavily involved in the activities and the subsequent cover-up. DeCamp, a good friend of CIA Chief and whistle-blower William Colby, is a real hero for writing and publishing such a dangerous story! Read more
Review:I got into Ryan Holiday as an author after reading 'Ego Is The Enemy '. I read a couple more of his books and they were interesting , educational and to some degree enlightening . This new book was nothing more than of a short story turned long . My old marketing professor would have circled in red chapter after chapter and written " Tautology " over and over taking this book from the authors idea of getting an A to the professors C+ .
It was and is a needless repetition of the same idea . W... Read more
Review:As a fan of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and his emotional, almost ranting narratives about the unnumbered innocents (and the few that were guilty) carted from Black Maria to interrogation (and if not summarily executed) to the gulag, I came out of both volumes of the "Gulag Archipelago" wanting to know more than just the angry anecdotal diatribes that Solzhenitsyn reiterates endlessly. I wanted facts, reasons, and perhaps an observer somewhat farther removed from the tragedy than Solzhenitsyn. I orde... Read more
