Review:Our 9 year old daughter likes this line of books, but it is a bit deceiving with some of the content for that age group. These books are from a series from the 80's, but with a new twist and some older themes. I have to read them first to make sure it is appropriate for her. Read more
Review:This third in the Baby Sitters Club (BSC) series of graphic novels is my favorite so far. Raina's drawings seem more detailed and lively in each successive book. I've been buying the BSC graphic novels for my niece who is finding real inspiration in the artwork while simply enjoying Ann Martin's time-honored stories, and I heartily recommend this series both for the clean, yet engaging stories, as well as the excellent graphics. Especially recommended for girls who are reluctant readers, because... Read more
Review:This story is fantastic. It is about a horse named Joey who gets taken away from his owner (Albert) and is sold to the military.
Joey goes through hard training , battle, and losses and remained a sturdy work horse.
Even though the book is told from the horse's point of view, you get a great amount of details about the people around him.
There is also a big question: will Albert ever find Joey again?Through Joey we receive a message of hope and the search for peace in the midst of a ba... Read more
Review:Petey is such a heart touching story. I almost cried, but that's not really the point. Petey is a man who had severe disabilities, and it takes you through his life step by step. Petey meets many friends, most of who eventually leave him. Then he meets Trevor, who turns out to be a lifesaver for Petey. Overall, I highly recommend this book. It is so touching and keeps you turning the pages. I couldn't put this down! It is a fabulous book! Read more
Review:For third grade gifted inner city students this novel hits a great number of issues they deal with whether in their neighborhood or within their school experiences. I have used this as a beginning of the year interactive read aloud for four years. This is the first real novel these students encounter. With common core beginning to be implemented, the novel brings deep discussions, difficult questions, and 'ah ha's '. It has yet to disappoint. Read more
Review:It was a phenomenal proportion of the nice but troublesome rafe katchidorian the main character in the whole middle school series with many plot twists and lessons for kids young or old are very great but the main question I'd where I'd the legend or what I'd his real back story he could be put in future middle school books to go on with his story. Review:My grand daughter is loving every minute of it. I'm not sure if it's because I am letting her use my Kindle to read it or if it's just the book. She giggles all the time she is reading it. She is 7. Read more

Review:We got this book from our community apartment and at first glance, I must admit the book didn't seem appealing but fell in love with it learning the life lessons we should all learn. Perfect for my 4yr old son who loves this book now asking for it to be read before bedtime! We try to use these words everyday! Read more
Review:My girlfriend, Tammy, and I both love cats. She has two adorable ones that I have fallen in love with: Riley and Jessie. They changed my life. I can sympathize with James Bowen of “My Name is Bob.” Our lives just don't feel complete unless we have someone, human or pet, to share them with. Animals can fill us with joy, lift our spirits, and give us hope. When I lived in Knoxville, Tennessee, I once belonged to a group called “Pets on Wheels.” We took dogs, cats, and even rabbits to nursin... Read more
