The Law is a Lady
The Law is a Lady

Review:If you like Nora Roberts, then you will love this short novel that reads like a fast paced movie. Her charachters are well formed and at one point, I was shedding some tears. It's pure entertainment and easy on the mind. There are forty seven more books in the collection "Language of Love", and I thought I had read all her books, but boy was I wrong. Read more

Harvesting the Heart
Harvesting the Heart

Review:Picoult writes for women who doubt themselves and who are frightened to rely on their own judgement. A subtext of abuse simmers below the surface of many of her plots. Another common strand in the Picoult novels is a compassionate investigation of the joys, trials and ambivalence of motherhood. With impeccable and vigorous research, Picoult builds suspenseful stories even as effortlessly she guides her readers and her characters through the baffling and frightening medical and legal labyrinth... Change of Heart: A Novel (Wsp Readers Club)

Review:This is a very thought provoking story on many levels. The characters were interesting. I loved Maggie; Michael was complex as was June; Shay an enigma -- I just couldn't figure out who or what he really was even to the very end. Perhaps the author wanted to leave the reader guessing. I also found myself asking what I would have done were I in June's situation. I think in the end she made the right choice. All in all it was a good read. Read more

The Tenth Circle: A Novel

Review:I know Jodi Picoult books all involve court and legal issues. Normally they start off strong, but then fizzle out on me. I have liked everything I had previously read, but never loved any. After starting this, I thought that was going to change, but I was wrong. So disappointing!

When this first started I did not think I was going to like it. The introduction was amazing, but then is started introducing the characters and I was thinking this would be something that I would probably n... Read more

A heartbreaking story with a breathtaking twist - A Mother's Confession

Review:This book represents my life on so many levels, even though the abuse I suffered was not to the same degree ultimately the end result was exactly the same ... a murder suicide in a car. So horrific and so traumatic for anyone to endure but I too have found a rock in my new partner that helps me get through the dark days. Much love to anyone else that has endured such heartbreak and unfortunately there are way to many xx
This is well written, and so sad on many levels as this is a reality for ... Read more

Review:I have very much liked several Jodi Piccoult books. But I am not even sure I can finish this one. A woman who is in the last stages of terminal cancer, making intense passionate love, and jitterbugging the night away on her last night of life??? As a nurse who has seen many terminal patients, let me tell you that does NOT happen anywhere in real life! The intensity of the "love at first sight" sub plot between the police chief and his wife's assistant was also a yawn. All the characters are fla... Read more

Second Glance: A Novel

Review:I received this novel in the time expected and am looking forward to reading it along with the other Jodi Picoult novels I have purchased. I am intrigued by Jodi's voice and the way she presents her characters. Every one of them becomes a friend or acquaintance. Her scenes and storylines are delicious. I savor every word and nuance long after I've read the book. To say I am a fan is putting it mildly.

I'm so glad my sister introduced me to Jodi and I now recommend her work to everyone... Read more

A Standalone Friends-to-Lovers Romance - Bad at Love

Review:NO SPOILERS!

Bad at Love was absolutely amazing and one of my TOP FAVORITE reads of 2017! Karina Halle never ceases to blow me away with her talent, and every novel she writes gets better and better than the last.
