Women's Fiction
Review:This was a great story with an interesting and timely plot. The novel kept moving forward so that I couldn't put it down once I started. I do wish the characters were a bit more developed- I found myself wanting to know more about them. However that ultimately didn't change what a great read this was! Read more
Review:Great hook of a beginning. Fast read. Anyone who is an avid reader will figure out the big reveal. That being said it did not make me enjoy the book any less. Will look forward to more form this author. Read more
Review:An interesting book, with very honest characters. However, the obvious lack of God in every person's life is quite sad. The author tried way too hard to be seen as so open minded, that the beauty of the story got lost in liberalism. Read more
Review:Unlike Lost and Found Sisters, which definitely had the feel of a women's fiction novel or relationship novel, Rainy Day Friends feels more like a typical, albeit layered, Jill Shalvis romance.
Lanie Jacob's is a woman who feels unlovable after being raised by distant parents and then discovering that her husband had multiple wives. As such, she experiences a bit of culture shock when she's thrust into the Capriotti family, who is anything but distant. Over the course of the novel, Lanie ... Read more
Review:Amy Michaels, a waitress at the Eat Me diner, has a reputation for being a "tough girl" because she exudes attitude and wears steel-toed boots. She's only been in Lucky Harbor for about six months and the residents don't know how really tough her life was before she came to town as Amy keeps everyone at a distance. That includes Matt Bowers, the local forest ranger, who exudes sexiness, has his own past he'd like to leave behind and seems to have his eyes firmly fixed on Amy. She notices and ... Read more
Review:Absolutely loved this book - it pulled me in, captured me, and held me until the very end! I loved all of Chloe's quirks that made her unique and I loved Sawyer's strength and caring nature. The growing bond between the sisters was touching, and the best part was the heat between Chloe and Sawyer - always simmering and ready to boil over! Loved it! Read more
Review:You know how some authors mention they are putting out a new series and you start jumping up and down, nearly breaking your computer to get to the pre-order screen? Jill Shalvis is one of those authors for me. I know I will form a connection with her characters that will put a smile on my face and a glow in my cheeks. Well, this little ducky got an email from Ms Shalvis’s virtual assistant asking me (little ole me) to read and review Second Chance Summer. To say I was excited would be an underst... Read more
Review:Quinn's world was turned upside down, but gradually she learned she was an exceptional woman. Learning to love and believe in something, Quinn and Tilly forged a bond. Plus a bonus to come along was Mick and Coop. Read more
Review:I loved Animal Magnestism and Animal Attraction. Rescue My Heart did not let me down. Jill Shalvis' characters are funny, sexy and interesting. Adam and Holly's story was so fun to read. Can't wait for the next one! Read more
Review:I love contemporary romance novels, and Jill Shalvis never disappoints. No matter how funny or crazy her stories get, I always relate to and believe the characters. I was sucked in to this story right away. There have been a ton of lucky harbor novels, but the second I put one down I can't wait to read the next one! Read more
