The Escape
The Escape

Review:I received an Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review thereof.
I do not have sufficient superlatives to describe Ms. Ward's latest endeavour. The immense suspense, the permeating evil, the terrible trauma and the deep abiding love all make for a novel worthy of ELEVEN OUT OF TEN. The emotional rollercoaster is very real and I suggest you keep a few tissues at hand. The moments of joy and love make this incredible book even more captivating and ensures you don't move... The French Gardener: A Novel
The French Gardener: A Novel

Review:Loved the book! The love story was interesting an exciting, however there were too many garden and flower scenes for me.
I know the book was called the French Gardener, but if one is not into gardening that much and more into the love story, then sometimes it gets too flowery, but the love story is memorable, and worth reading for it alone. Read more

Review:Characters were believable--loved their development . Life situations. Ending a little predictable, but no less real. Loved the description of the landscape, fauna, flora, and weather. So much a part of the environment/ambiance. Long for the castle, brisk air, attention to furnishings and architecture. Total package! Read more

Coming Home
Coming Home

Review:This is possibly my favorite book of all time - a tender coming of age story set in World War Two England. It's not an adventure, or a mystery - but it's a story about an amazing cast of characters living through an extraordinary time.

The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is that the translation to Kindle format is a bit sloppy - they needed a good proof reader. Read more

The Perfect Nanny: A Novel
The Perfect Nanny: A Novel

Review:This book was different from what I expected. I thought I was going to be reading a typical thriller type of novel but that's not what I found . The nanny is just plain weird . The people for whom she works are also unusual . The children are not very likable .

To me this is a book that would be interesting to people who have an interest in psychological novels that aren't necessarily thrillers. The workings of these peoples minds was interesting to me but people didn't think in the same... Read more

The Queen of Hearts
The Queen of Hearts

Review:The world of medical students is fraught with exhaustion from working too many hours that any human being should endure and with tension from working in an urban Emergency Room rife with life and death scenes. It all requires the utmost tenacity, refined medical skills and the patience and calm of a saint! This is the world of Emma and Zadie, two best friends, who are about to undergo a true test of their solid rock friendship. Add to that their male friends, Dr. Nick Xenokostas and Graham. ...
