Review:Based on the premise that at least one of the women accused at the Salem Witch Trials might really have been a witch, this story switches back and forth between Deliverance Dane (in 17th century Salem) and Connie Goodwin, a graduate student in the 1990's who is spending the summer before starting her doctoral classes cleaning up her Granna's old house. I liked the character development and the story lines. I did find Howe's use of dialect a little disconcerting. She used no dialect with her majo... Read more
Review:My favorite so far in the series. once again I'm enthralled by Georgina's story. i feel like shes a real person. Mead does a great job with character development. i go along on the ride and feel all of Georgina's emotions. its a great read that offers incredibly funny dialogue and at the same time a lot of emotion. Review:Normally I shy away from these books because historical books are not really my thing. However my blogging friend, Bekka pretty much forced this book on me. I trust her opinion, so I decided to give this book a try. This book really surprised me in a lot of ways. I ended up really liking it more than I expected to.
I loved Josie as a main character. She knew what she wanted as well as what she didn't want. She didn't allow herself to fall into the same habits her mother had adopted. Unlik... Read more
Review:After reading previous books, it 'itches' to wait until the new release. Once you have it, you're read it without break. R. Riordan's books take you into his world so you forget everything. Now it itches again, waiting for the sequel. Read more
Review:This is one of the best Follow-ups I've read in awhile. The first one was good, but not very memorable IMO. The 2nd may be one of Price's best books to date.
The book has a lot going on, but it still flowed smoothly and everything seemed to tie-up well by the end. About a month has passed since the events in the last book. The book starts off similar to the last, with Alex raising the dead & working with the PD to unravel a paranormal murder mystery. With her love life in turmoil, Ale... Read more
Review:Just to be clear from the beginning, I was one of the lucky few to receive this book before the release date and give a review if I wanted. Which I oh so do :)
This was an amazing book! I am the kind of person who loves to read a book where the world is painted for them, which Storm Glass did not disappoint. There are two main characters Sera and Cettie and the point of view switches between the two throughout the book. I loved both of these girls, they have such detailed personalities th... Read more
Review:The Xoe Meyers Trilogy was a pretty good YA read. The characters are believable even with the fantasy elements. It's a quick, fun read. There are some grammatical errors, but overall, an interesting story line. I wish the rest of the books were free. I'd read them! Read more
Review:Very interesting stories about a village that in the beginning, all the adults went missing, leaving just the children. A fog encircles the forest next to the village and anyone who enters never returns. Years later three people are chosen to enter the fog and they find beasts, fight them and survive only to enter a new village where an evil dragon rules. Future plots revolve around the three villagers, Tressa, Bastian and Connor as well as the Black, Red, Green and Yellow Dragonlands. Lives ch... Read more
