Review:Bill Ayers exudes a sensitivity to the child, the teacher and the art of teaching and learning that I have not found anywhere else in literature on education. His intellectual wit and wisdom about the state of education and humanity as a whole is both jolting and hopeful. Above all else, it is the carefulness with which he looks at the "what is" of the child and the teacher that touches the heart. Read more

Review:This book is perfect for my kindergartner. I mostly want him to practice writing and using a pencil as that is what he struggles the most with and the varied activities in this book are great for that. The book itself it small, but it has a good number of different activities. Read more
Review:After homeschooling for a lonnnnggg time, I am so thankful for this beautiful reminder of the way reading g aloud enriches all our lives. So many times, I fall into routines and put off reading aloud as a last priority or don't do it at all. I knew it was good for us, but I didn't realize HOW good it is! I purchased this as an audiobook and I love it that the author is also the narrator! She does a great job drawing you in and making you want to listen to more. I am also going to purchase the ac... Review:This book makes mathematics fun and easy. it is the only book for maths that i am not getting tired of despite having English as a second language. As a teacher I am inspired by the humorous and smart way of introducing maths to students. i am planning to buy the second book as well. I hope Danica writes more books explaining algebra and other difficult math concepts. Read more
Review:This book was written to clearly explain the romance and physical side of Love and sex. The graphics are good and honest and the humor keeps you moving along. This book must weight 2 pounds and hundreds of pages long, so any question a person may have male of female concerning sex is covered honestly and in depth.
The authors are trying to honestly explain sex and its joys as well as its emotional hurdles. Read more

The second time was because I wanted to review the information and try again after seeing what I did wrong. I failed most of the second tries again and decided to wing it on the actual Praxis test. I had absolutely no problem passing the Praxis test and I got fairly high scores. I'm not sure why I did poorly on all of the practice questions, but I'm pretty disappointed in the book even though I did pas... Read more
Review:Overall it fulfills the objective in the title, but there were some things that I think could be easily improved upon:
1. I found the overall organization of the book confusing, even though it is a short book. It's fine if you just read it beginning to end as I did, but if you are trying to figure out "Intro" vs. "Scenarios" in "Example Section 1" vs. "Example Section 2", etc., particularly with the amount of repetition within each section and between sections. Even the "Booklet Structu... Read more
Review:Best if your first language is English....extremely hard if you are a second language learner. However, I have had upper elementary, go-getter students who wanted to challenge themselves who were ESL students. Just be careful to not overwhelm ESL beginners. Read more
