The Moon and More
The Moon and More

Review:This was, as always, a good read. Sarah Dessen never disappoints!

I have begun to notice through reading all of her books though that a lot of details remain the same. It would be nice to get some more variety. Read more

How to Draw Faces (Dover How to Draw)
How to Draw Faces (Dover How to Draw)

Review:I was underwhelmed by the drawings themselves, and disappointed that not a single man with African features is included in this how-to book. I picked this book up for my 8 year old son, as he has an interest in creating realistic drawings of people. My son is Black and Hispanic. The title should be "How to Draw Caucasian Female Faces." It does include an odd looking character with mutton chop facial hair, but skips over a basic prototype for a Black/ African man. The majority of the book is varia... Read more

60 Great Paintings from Botticelli to Picasso (Dover Art Coloring Book)
60 Great Paintings from Botticelli to Picasso (Dover Art Coloring Book)

Review:What a wonderful coloring book, and what a great value. I was very impressed by the quality of the pictures included therein. Not only do we get to color some of the greatest artworks by the greatest painters; we also get color representations of each picture., and a short biography of each painter. Each painting is on a single page of fairly heavy paper so that the following picture will not be destroyed.
I fell in love with this book when I opened it and expect to enjoy numerous hours of co... Read more

The Only Drawing Book You'll Ever Need to Be the Artist You've Always Wanted to Be
The Only Drawing Book You'll Ever Need to Be the Artist You've Always Wanted to Be

Review:Great intro for true beginners learning how to see for drawing purposes. Not an advanced workbook, but a great guide with some techniques included. It's sophisticated enough for adults and could frustrate younger kids, but I'd think this book would be fun for anyone interested in developing their artistic eye and learning how to practice real drawing technique. Shipwrecked (Junie B. Jones - No. 23) - Junie B.

Review:It would be better if Barbara Parks stays away from History and other factual areas. Better if the books are kept primarily to day to day activities and emotions/ feelings thereof. These are Barbara Parks' strengths. When looking for starter chapter books I mistakenly bought the whole collection for my daughter. The repeated use of spelling and grammar errors was too much for me but my daugther seems to like these books than the other much better ones I bought (magic tree house). Anyway when I r... The Ultimate Guide to Characters and Creatures from the Entire Star Wars Saga
The Ultimate Guide to Characters and Creatures from the Entire Star Wars Saga

Review:I would like to be briefly plain under three subtitles:

- Content: I do not have the other visiual dictionaries related StarWars, however what I have read from the other reviews as well as what I have seen from this one; it has considerably brief and extensive content, in my humble opinion it is rather sufficient for the dictionary which comprises "Entire StarWars Saga".

- Quality: I found the cover of it rather remarkable as well as its pages (It has also got an additional ext... Read more
