Review:This was an amazing read! The author is light and funny making the big concepts easy to understand. The chapters are also broken up into one to three pages making it easy to stay focused on a specific subject. Read more
Review:AWESOME cookbook! Pictures are great! Received the book Saturday and it’s Monday and I’ve made 2 recipes. Chocolate Zucchini Bread and Chocolate Hemp seed cookies. Both are FABULOUS! I didn’t have coconut flour so I used almond flour in the zucchini bread. It calls for 1c coconut flour so I used 4c of almond flour, I also added an extra egg and baked 18-20 extra minutes. Right out of the oven it was a little “eggy” tasting but as it cooled that taste went away. It is SO moist and delicious! I sl... Read more
Review:I purchased this book because I was mulling over the idea of becoming vegan. I have been vegetarian for a full year. I was disappointed in the information given. It is written very dryly in a seeming monotone. Yes, it contains important information, but I think an opportunity was missed. Read more

Review:This was fun, mostly because of all the photographs of Frances Mayes' now famous and lovely Tuscan home. The recipe collection is not extensive, but it is exactly what you need for inspiration to create the ambiance, taste and feeling of the fresh, life-affirming cuisine of Tuscany at home. Read more
Review:Amazing calendar, well designed with really great photos throughout. I am very obsessed with the musical and the lyrics on each page just jump out at you when you look at it. Also the months have really clever important dates added in addition to traditional holidays, like the day of Washington's birth, Jefferson's death, etc. This is so cool! Read more

Review:Fasten your seatbelt because once you start reading Dave Eggers’ book titled, The Monk of Mokha, you will not want to stop. Eggers introduces us to Mokhtar Alkhanshali, a young Yemeni American whose journey through life changes dramatically after he finds passion about coffee from Yemen. Mokhtar knew nothing about coffee from Yemen when he drifted into this passion, and once he learned all he could, he hustled and bargained and found every way possible to bring the fine coffee from Yemen to the ... Review:Unfortunately, I inadvertently purchased an "uncorrected" proof of the book. I won't do that again as it was annoying to read... not properly edited and contained many repetitions and spelling errors. I expected more recipes... the title and premise of the book misrepresents what is clearly the author's enhanced personal journey of genealogical pursuit. Having done a similar search of my own ancestry, I found Twitty's journey interesting, but not 21 chapters worth. Read more
Review:Lovely, basic, un-fussy book. With recipes made from very fresh-tasting ingredients. For total newbies to Mexican food, there's a very cool, clear and comprehensive ingredients glossary in the back. I'm a California native, so most of these ingredients are familiar. Still, there were some I didn't "know." For someone just starting to experiment with Mexican cuisine, this is an excellent intro. And, there are LOTS of dishes and ingredient combos that I never would have thought of, let alone... Read more
