Review:Despite my initial skepticism, I really liked The 5:2 Fast Diet for Beginners. Its premise makes sense to me – that fasting occasionally helps you to reset your internal clock. I was surprised that you could eat your normal calorie intake on the non-fasting days and that the fasting days themselves give you 500 calories. Review:Thoroughly enjoyed this book as part of a lenten fast. Very helpful recipes, devotionals and explanations. There's not enough literature like this out there that gives people practical and easy to reference advice on healthy, well-balanced diet plans. And the fact that it is tied to an ancient Biblical fast makes it all the more intriguing and motivational. Read more
Review:Our favorite go-to resource for a fast and healthy meal! "Fast Food, Good Food" is EASILY is easily the best cookbook on our entire shelf. Here is why:

Review:GREAT book...very well written. I did notice one error with the sausage focaccia (page 77), the ingredients do not include how much flour to use. What other recipes are missing information...so much for proofing before publishing. Read more

Review:I have been reading Clay Risen's various articles and blogs about the "brown liquor" for years, and he has been a helpful and reliable guide through the increasingly complex world of American spirits. His new book is sure to build upon an already fine reputation as a critical voice that is able to cut through the marketing and sales talk and to give his reader a straightforward and honest assessment of the various whiskeys, bourbons, and ryes detailed here. Insightful, knowledgeable, and, above ... Read more
