The Man Who Knew Too Much
The Man Who Knew Too Much

Review:I liked this book a lot because of the ability this author has shown in the use of the English language and in developing plots with a clever twist at the end. This is a book of short stories which are pithy and fast moving, with very engaging descriptions of the range of quaint characters GK Chesterton seems to delight in portraying. A good read for those who like to read well written literature but also like to have their imaginations stirred. Read more

The Book of the Dead
The Book of the Dead

Review:This is a work of genius and should have been spellchecked, proofread and someone should have had the respect to add the plates to Kindle. A disrespectful Kindle edition. Needs much more work to be useable for research. Why not make it cost something? People would still get it. Read more

A Fox and O'Hare Short Story (Kindle Single) (Fox and O'Hare series)
A Fox and O'Hare Short Story (Kindle Single) (Fox and O'Hare series)

Review:I've really enjoyed the Fox and O'Hare stories, despite relatively lightweight plots, largely due to interesting characters and the entertaining banter between Fox and O'Hare. Unfortunately, the plot of this short was even more difficult to suspend disbelief on than anything previously, given how unnecessary and silly the key plot device seemed to be and the out-of-character risk Fox's scheme seemed to bring to surrounding civilians. LICK-IT MAN
LICK-IT MAN

Review:While the cover did catch my interest enough to give this a shot, watching the eponymous character repeatedly sexually assault random downtrodden women quickly drove me away. Though this felt like no great loss, as the constant stream of innuendo, which would not have seemed out of place in a high school boys locker room, and a completely uninteresting story made this a very easy book to put down. Wounded (Kindle Single) (Anita Blake - Vampire Hunter)
Wounded (Kindle Single) (Anita Blake - Vampire Hunter)

Review:Jean-Claude only on the last two pages? What a horror. While I certainly love Anita, Micha and Nathaniel, there is no loving like when you love Jean-Claude! The three stars are for Anita, Micha and Nathaniel. The remaining two stars are all for that handsome piece of vampire Jean-Claude!!! Read more

Sudden Backtrack: A Hollows Short (The Hollows)
Sudden Backtrack: A Hollows Short (The Hollows)

Review:I was hoping for a more recent story of Al (post-end of Hollows series), and this was a pre-quel. It was interesting, and more about Newt than Al. I always enjoy Harrison's stories, and this was OK, just not her strongest one. Read more

Waylaid (Kindle Single)
Waylaid (Kindle Single)

Review:This was an amazing story. I wasn't sure how a Rachel-Peri mashup would work initially, but I was pretty impressed with how nicely it all came together. I love that it gives a good contrast between the two leading ladies, it seems to be a nice way to ease the Hollows fans into the Drafter universe. I can't wait to read the next book in the Drafter series now!! Read more

Sideswiped (Kindle Single) (The Peri Reed Chronicles)
Sideswiped (Kindle Single) (The Peri Reed Chronicles)

Review:This is an amazing book by a great author. You can not go into this book expecting The Hollows (her long running series that ended) she delivers some pretty awesome characters and a fast paced, intriguing plot. There are a lot of twists and turns in this book. Read more

300 Miles (Perilous Miles Book 1)
300 Miles (Perilous Miles Book 1)

Review:But UGH, I didn't want it to end. A very realistic scenario except that our current President wouldn't be such a wimp. I sure like that there is at least one prepared Prepper in the family so there is hope still if the mom doesn't go into denial for too long. Can't wait for the next book. Write fast! LOL! Read more

The Churn: An Expanse Novella (The Expanse)

Review:Great short story that really added a lot of depth to Amos. If you've read any of the books in the Expanse series than this is a must. Explains a lot as to his personality and how he interprets the world around him. Read more
