The Butcher of Anderson Station - A Story of The Expanse
The Butcher of Anderson Station - A Story of The Expanse

Review:I was excited to find this backstory after finishing LEVIATHAN WAKES. As I read through that book I found myself wanting more of a backstory on Fred, but having read this, I see that it really didn't fit the narrative.

If you liked LEVIATHAN WAKES, then THE BUTCHER OF ANDERSON STATION is worthwhile to read. But it was too short in my opinion. I really hope the authors consider expanding future installments. Read more

Firstborn: A Tor.Com Original
Firstborn: A Tor.Com Original

Review:I am a fan of Brandon Sanderson, so having him go into the Sci-Fi world is pretty awesome. Keep in mind that this is a short story, so the characters and the motivation is not as fleshed out as a typical Sanderson novel. It is fast paced and fun, and it has a good ending.

I see this as a great midnight snack while waiting for Way of Kings II to come out. Read more

The Chapel Perilous (The Iron Druid Chronicles)
The Chapel Perilous (The Iron Druid Chronicles)

Review:In his typical style Kevin blends legend with our favorite Iron Druid. In this Grail story our hero faces the undead while on a mission from God. Well, one of them. I highly recommend this short as well as the rest of this series. Funny, dramatic and tremendously entertaining! Read more

The Abandoned (The Graveyard Queen Book 4)
The Abandoned (The Graveyard Queen Book 4)

Review:I thought this would be a nice creepy ghost story. While it was a ghost story, it lacked suspense. The plot was predictable, and the characters were flat. On the plus side, it was free, so at least I didn't waste any money. Read more

Hardcore Self Help: F**k Anxiety
Hardcore Self Help: F**k Anxiety

Review:Purchased this for someone who has anxiety that is crippling her life. I selected this book because I felt she had reached a point where she was mad enough about her anxiety to say, as the title states--"F-Anxiety"! This book is an honest and humorous take on anxiety that gives helpful techniques on coping. I didn't give it 5 stars because the book itself is too short. And although my recipient loved it, this book is not for everyone. Read more

Just A FEW People I Want to Punch in the Throat (Vol #1)
Just A FEW People I Want to Punch in the Throat (Vol #1)

Review:I love funny reads and I yearn to punch people in the throat constantly throughout my day so this seemed like a great quick fix for my morning commute but I feel like I want to ask for 20 minutes of my life back. The story telling is great but the content was boring and I found myself skimming through the chapters to skip to the "funny" parts. Read more
