Review:I read this immediately following reading Weiner's _Legacy of Ashes: The Story of the CIA_. As jaundiced as his view was about the CIA, he seems to be a fan of J. Edgar Hoover. In spite of the way Hoover conducted his own fiefdom outside the law and continually thumbed his nose at the law and the Justice Department, Weiner seems to support Hoovers actions as 'necessary'. Weiner seems to credit the FBI's success to its very disregard of law and rights. While not up to the standards of _Legacy o... Read more
Review:This was an incredible book. Both in its detailed account or what it took to bring down a terrorist plot, but also in the time the author took to explain and stress how Islam is manipulated and perverted by jihadis. The final point about the danger of a Muslim ban in the us was timely and so necessary. Thank you to the author for his service and for this book. Read more
Review:Hayes writes about a difficult reality about open racial divisions most would like to deny, but he presents it with humility and makes it personal in a way that I understood. Should be required reading. Read more
Review:This book is crystal clear about Guede's guilt and Amanda and Rafaelle's innocence. It is shocking that 7 years later the guilters are still talking about bleach clean-ups and Amanda turning off her phone and think she is guilty. Common sense alone screams her innocence but all the evidence supports it. I honestly never knew there were so many clueless and gullible people in this world or so much evil in the media until this case came about. Read more
Review:Zeihan is a great geopolitical thinker and this book distills his work in a very concise, readable and entertaining way. More then that, the last 12 months have really showed the relevancy of his predictions, coming on even faster then he had anticipated (more on that in The Absent Superpower, another must read).

Review:This books is a heartbreaking insight into the plight of today’s refugees, as seen through the eyes of one Syrian woman. The author is certainly one who is deeply knowledgeable of the crisis at hand: Fleming is the chief spokesperson of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
The book begins where we meet the young woman and hear about how he life went from one like any other, into the hell of a war torn country. In desperation and necessity, her and her fiancés life of flight begins, wi... Read more
Review:Very easy reading, has some technicals points that can get a little tedious at points but repetition is the best way to learn. Wish I would have read this with my first born and so happy that I read it before the second one gets here. It really helped me to understand the 'nursing system' and how you and your baby work together. I feel really confident to nurse with the second and hope to go longer then 7months like I did with my first. The best part is, the book has an index to help reference f... Read more
Review:If you really want to read a tale about the very worst of US corporate practices, The Smartest Guys in the Room is the book for you! authors McLean and Elkind spare no detail of dodgy finance, sleaze, greed and ineptitude as they bring us an accurate dissection of the rise and fall on Kenny-Boy Lay and his associates.
The authors, both writers for Forbes, are well-qualified to understand their subject and present it in good, journalistic prose form. The book makes a fine double-read wit... Read more
