Review:Bought this book since I, too, had lost my beloved dachshund and figured I would appreciate and sympathize what the author was writing about. There was too much symbolism for me. A straight cut story that was heartfelt and sincere without having to read between the lines would have been better. I understood what the author was doing but it was too strange for me. I still sympathize with him and his loss as any pet lover would. Read more
Review:I've just started reading urban fantasy, mainly with the Dresden files, and have been looking around for other books to read. I'm loving this book, and cant wait for the next one to come out on the 30 of july. Read more
Review:A novella in the World of Kate Daniels series that keeps the pace going and the great writing flowing. Dali is a white tiger with magic that helps balance against black magic. She adores Jim, a werecat and Chief of Security for the Pack in Atlanta. Dali and Jim go after whoever is using magic to terrorize or kill owners of a building in Atlanta. And that is all the plot I am willing to leak. If you have read any of this series, know you are in for a fast ride full of action, weres, spells a... Read more
Review:I liked the book but it didn't suck me in as fast as ON THE EDGE. It took me three days to read the first half and I almost put it down a few times. I kept checking Amazon reviews and dearauthor to see if I was missing something, lol. I am glad I stuck it out because once it got going it was great and only took about two hours to finish.
The first half of the book mainly contained descriptions of the area, bad guys, and inner thoughts of the characters with not a lot of action. There was ... Read more
Review:Any book that turns a dust bunny into a magical monster has my instant attention. I think that’s one of the things I love most about this series: it’s ability to make me laugh at the most ludicrous, outrageous, impossible things – things that, in spite of being so unlikely, I can see happening. This all happens while Kate is once again fighting for her life and the lives of those she cares about, and while trying to untwist the thorny push-me/pull-you sexual tension between herself and the Beast... Review:Wow, I am not sure what I can say about her writing that will make you fall for a wisp of a necromancer with a house for a close friend . . . one that protects her and her friends. This is a well executed plot, with a few twists and turns, many unexpected. For this story, blood IS thicker than water. A must read! Read more
Review:I’m obsessed with this series and each book gets better. Grier is finally unraveling mysteries of her family tree while battling unknown forces.
I was pretty giddy in this book to have Linus, wooly, and her new carnivorous friends. It’s the perfect read. Now I’m sad I have to wait for he next book. Read more
Review:This book was incredible. Different from others I read. I love the haunted house who speaks and acts. That’s just hilarious. And yes I was suckered and bought into Volvaks purchases, body guards, and special gift to deem her trust, and I was equally blindsided by his evil side. Cant wait to learn the hundreds of secrets Maud kept hidden. Read more
Review:I've read and reviewed a lot of these stories separately or as part of other anthologies but it never hurts to have everything all in one place so I'm going to post those reviews again here. Three of the stories in this anthology are set in the Kate Daniels world but two are completely standalone (and one of those was completely new to me).
A Questionable Client (Kate Daniels 0.5):
A Questionable Client is a prequel short story for the Kate Daniels series and shows a bit of Kate's ... Read more
Review:I was really excited to read a new Kate Daniels story and was counting down the days for it to come out. I did not realize it was an old story I already read in an anthology. It is a good story just make sure you have not already read it.
Why are we being forced to choose if this book is Predictable, Some twists or Full of Surprises in order to be allowed to leave a review? Not cool Amazon, not cool Read more
