Review:Where do I start? Amazing! S.L. Scott writes incredible characters. Spark represents what all want in a book. A fantastic story, beautiful and flawed characters and pure emotional depth that makes your heart beat faster.
Right from the beginning, it was a whirlwind of a night between Jet and Hannah. And then life goes on. Jet is left with the what if and moves on with his band of brothers, Rivers and Tulsa. They are a strong band from Austin. And this might be their chance to make it big. Wh... Read more
Review:If you're looking for great adventure or romance, you'll want to look elsewhere. This book, like many of Ms. Tyler's, is told from a complex, perhaps disappointed, middle-aged woman's point of view. Her small adventure takes her across the country and into the lives of child, her mother and their close-knit working class community. Read more
Review:A very different book for me. So much tragedy, angst and lies. Well written and a good story but very difficult to understand in parts. The ending is so abrupt, after all that has happened in the story, there are many unanswered questions. Read more
Review:This book was okay, but not as entertaining as her other books. The plot seemed to go around in circles, and the lead character became a bit of a drag about 3/4 of the way through the book. Her writing is always good, and the descriptions are quite vivid. I will continue to admire her as one of my favorite writers, but this story seemed pathetic and whiny in parts. Read more
Review:I read it from beginning to end without coming up for air. From the moment I met Ren I was hooked. The characters are flawed and dirty, but there is not one you don't feel for. The closest I can come to Ren is Huck Finn. He has a wonderful common sense when it comes to morality. He sees the good and bad in all he meets without judging. Like the stones he collected at the orphanage, he senses that once washed off and polished there is something worth value in all of them. Ren's world is drawn wit... Read more
Review:A very intriguing book that gradually draws the reader into the 1920's world of bootleg gin and the relationship between two young typists in a NYC police precinct. A taste of the Great Gatsby with murder thrown in on the side. Worth the read. Read more
Review:I thoroughly enjoyed this book, much more than his last. It was a very fast read and I hated to see it end. Just wish they would do more mini series before the actors are to old or gone. I am hungry for another trip down Barbary Lane. Read more
Review:"He looked dangerous. He reminded me of a bad habit. He was something I knew I shouldn't want, but I felt myself gravitating toward him regardless."
I've had this book on my TBR list for awhile...(the never ending to be read list), but I just hadn't picked it up yet. And it wasn't that I didn't want to, just review books kept getting in the way. I finally just threw caution to the wild and picked it up. And boy was I glad. I mean I DEVOURED this book. I started it at 11pm and finished it... Read more
Review:Actually, it is when sociopaths who act on their tendencies fall in love, it probably isn't love. It is probably lust mixed with control issues. I know my heart just went pitter patter. SPOILERS:
The Hero is a very bad man who takes the heroine and her two children as payment on a loan. The H admits to being willing to kill innocent women and children to make a point. He tortures a man in front of the h, which made no sense if he was trying to win her over. He seemed to enjoy it. I am sorry y... Read more
Review:I enjoyed this book with its strong characters and cohesive storyline. The sex scenes are extremely hot and there is enough story in between to make anticipation build. The male lead is a bit possessive but the rest of the story makes up for it. Read more
