Mystery & Suspense
Review:First, I have bought in consecutive order books 1-29. I have read every single on and love them! I just love how JD Robb brings the characters to life. I can almost picture the faces Eve makes when she is saying something sarcastic. I love how the relationships between Eve and Roarke are coming along as well! Now on to books 30-34!! Read more
Review:I'd like to preface this review by saying I really do enjoy the In Death books - I'm rereading the series, having read all but the newest at least once. SPOILER WARNING: There are some spoilers, but probably nothing you won't see coming.
That said, I am noticing this time through the series, and in this book in particular, that she really relies on cliches and improbability a bit too much. The romance between Clarissa and Zeke does have a twist in the end, but wading through the cliched c... Read more
Review:This series is my favorite out there. It contains the same characters in every volume but still manages to stay very fresh and interesting. The crimes in each are creepy, strange and anything but predictable, and the relationships between the characters are developing on pace. I hope Nora Roberts, er J.D. Robb, continues this series indefinitely. The books certainly entertain me and are the entertainment highlights of every spring and fall! Read more
Review:This was a great "In Death" installment. I felt so many emotions while reading Promises in Death. To share the emotions would mean sharing spoilers and I don't want to spoil the story for you. Just know there is a rollercoaster ride of surprises in this book.
We see Eve Dallas at her best while wrestling conflicting emotions this murder uncovers. I loved the "smart women" briefing!
I highly recommend this book. You won't be sorry. Read more
Review:I have to say compared to her last "In Death" book this a quieter mystery. I really needed it after the last books graphic style. It is a good read, keeps you guessing and gives the reader better insight into Dallas, Roarke, Peabody and the rest of the crew. Very enjoyable. Read more
Review:This is a series that I NEVER get tired of reading...over...and over again. There is nothing like a full novel written by Nora Roberts to make for an entertainingly scrumptious story that pulls you in and makes you feel homesick in between installments. And, when that installment comes out and you finally have a chance to read it, your back at home with life, death, intrigue and love.
You gotta love Roberts. She makes the best characters and stories.
Also, let me say that Susan Eri... Read more
Review:This is Dallas at her best, totally "mag!" Got to be the best one yet in the Death Series.
(and to think, I almost didn't get it because of some of the reviews!) Glad I didn't listen.
I loved this book. It is not any more gorey than any of the others in the series.
Well done, J.D. Robb! Read more
Review:This was a seriously dark and slightly twisted but damned enjoyable read. I’m a sucker for lost loved and this twists that all around. It is as engaging and quick paced and sucked you right in. All in all a solid afternoons time spent. Read more
Review:Great start to the series. Reminds me of the earlier Anita Blake novels, a strong independent aggressive female (Mia Snow) in law enforcement of supernatural creatures except in this series there are aliens. Aliens that are intelligent, sexy, evil, good and have unknown powers that humans have to police in this futuristic new world by Gena Showalter.
Mia Snow firmly knew that aliens were bad and her jobs was to be eliminate all that broke the law. However, her firm beliefs are shattered a... Read more
Review:The story continues in this third installment of The Road to Hell Series. Brenda is an excellent author who manages to surprise me with her amazing characters! River, Kobal, the rest of their friends, and a few new characters continue to fight the battle against Lucifer. This book is full of action and a showing of bonds through friendship, loyalty, betrayal, and love. We're getting closer to the end as more secrets are revealed and questions formed. I can't wait for the next book now.... Read more
