Review:Wonderful Book. I learned so much. Very brilliant and brave author who has done his homework. He appears to be a very kind and thoughtful person who is willing to look deeply at all sides of an issue. This should be required reading in every secondary school. Read more
Review:There exists sufficient evidence for me to support Kay Redfield Jamison's hypothesis that bipolar disorder is overrepresented in those with the 'artistic temperment'. Additionally, the link almost surely has a genetic component, with overlapping genes conferring a proclivity to the arts as well as susceptibility to depressive illness. Much of this research is surveyed in the Jamison's scholarly third chapter, which reads like a review on the topic (although now fairly dated, published in 1993)... Read more
Review:Maybe this book is good for people who are actually planning on entering a 12-step program, but as someone who read it just out of general interest, I found it to be incredibly repetitive, and felt the entire book could have been shrunk down to a 25 page booklet, including all the checklists and tables. There was very little actual material in the book, and it seemed every other chapter was a direct repeat of the previous chapter.
It wasn't so bad as to not want to finish it (it took me a... Read more

Review:Kissinger has produced an excellent book for those interested in world politics and foreign policy. The book give a deep perspective on why different parts of the world operate so differently. A combination of culture, religion, history, this is a book for understanding and keeping in your collection. Read more
Review:I thought the book was very informative. I had imagined that it would be somewhat "preaching to the choir," but there was a lot that I learned. I read it for a book club, and believe we are going to see the movie it is associated with as well. Read more
Review:Great book and highly recommended to everyone who cares about this great country. Bill can't make his talking points any clearer. Stop the nonsense and start putting common sense back in its place. We need to retain and preserve faith and family values if we are going to survive. Thank God for people like Bill who expose and has the ability to put secular progessive thinkers in their place. If S P folks don't like our values please feel free to find another country and leave things the way our f... Read more
Review:The recent demise of American across many landscapes is based upon fact, not opinion. This book does a great job tracing how it happened, and what (hopefully) can be done to get us back on course. In the meantime, hedge your bets and start learning Mandarin. Read more
Review:Rather than rant about whether Ms. Coulter is right or wrong about the Clinton Administration, I would rather comment about her style of writing.
Ms. Coulter's writing is average. It doesn't take a great intellect to discern her meaning. It does require a bit of patience to get through all the furious flag waving and name calling. Her constant use of the term "the framers" (in lieu of the Founding Fathers) and various forms of the word "pervert" for Clinton got old very fast. She also cou... Read more
Review:Every thinking person on the planet (and everyone who is trying hard to be a thinking person) should read this book for the very survival of our planet.
The president has taken it on his vacation this week, and that tells you something. The author is a "sober optimist," and now I am IF we all work together to build a healthy environment with clean energy and new jobs and beautiful cities, urban areas, forests and oceans. It can be done. You have to concentrate on the book, but the phra... Read more
