Review:The chapter on Enthusiasm alone is enough to help anyone start to accomplish more in their lives. Mr. Better gives steps and personal stories that can help anyone achieve success in selling and in other areas in ones life. I have read this book a few times and will continue to reread it, as it is not so much what we know, but how much we forget to use what we already know. Buy it. Well worth the cost. Read more
Review:I grew up very financially poor. Being poor was a major motivator to my parents whom were always very entrepreneurial minded - always trying to think of what they might be able to produce, invent, resale, etc… to try to better our financial situation. One of the common concepts was the idea of the "American Dream" - that anyone can do practically anything if they really put their mind to it, work hard, and think big. Following the idea that you can move from poor to rich based on your own action... Read more
Review:I have been full time in the real estate business since 1956. This, without a doubt, is one of the best books ever written, concerning real estate. It is not only good for the new person entering real estate, or thinking about entering, it is also excellent for those that have been practicing for a good number of years. I purchased a book for each of my agents and we reviewed it page by page in subsequent Staff Meetings.
In addition I have purchased several to give away to potential ag... Read more
Review:Wilson is unquestionably a remarkable scientist who deserves much praise for his work, esp., island biogeography modeling and concepts. However, I found this book and his Consilience not very engaging. I came away from both with few new insights on the topics. But, given the undeniable accomplishments of Wilson, I remain hopeful about any new book he might author in the future. Read more
Review:Phil Cooke captures the heart of a life well spent. Focus is, in essence, the key to living life with purpose, and discovering the one big thing you were born to do. Such an exploratory journey cannot be made without great sacrifice, however. The author states well, the reality of needing to detach ourselves from the electronic world long enough to focus on a higher calling. I love what Phil says about needing to follow passion, and then passion ignites the achievement of dreams. Phil is well re... Read more
Review:The delivery was prompt and the book was in excellent condition! The Laws of Spirit were nicely organized so one could easily refer to any specific affirmation.at a glance. I loved Peaceful Warrior and highlighted many of Socrates lessons, but found it time consuming to relocate them. This book facilitated easy access to all lessons. Read more
Review:Given Ivanka Trump's presence and resilience, I expected the book to provide information and insight which I couldn't get in other books. I was disappointed.
For example, it hyped and hyped passion. However, what many of us in glutted fields such as law and writing have learned is that making a living demands more than passion. In order to remain a writer I have had to learn new technologies, new communications approaches and revamp how I market and sell.
In the long rum, I have a ... Read more
Review:The advice in this book is priceless. It really makes a big difference on the job market. I personally did my job documents with Karen and her help was amazing. However, the only reason I give this book 4 stars is because almost all of what it contains is already on the blog, sometimes word for word. As someone who read the blog so many times, I found that a little disappointing as I was hoping for a little more. I am still happy that I have it in a book and do not need browse around the bl... Review:This book is a compilation of most generic wisdom bits -- common truths expressed in bland language, neither engaging nor very actionable. The author is just chatting away contentedly, a spoonful of this, a little bit of that - like an elder sharing his tried and true advice for the umpteenth time. And then it is over.
We live in an epoch when the publishing industry is highly differentiated and very clever - every book you read nowadays has some sort of "personality," is written from som... Read more
