Review:Wonderful! I wish I had known about this book before I went through menopause. I love how Christiane covers all the aspects of the life change, not just the physical. The emotional and spiritual part are usually neglected, but she explains and covers them in her book. I reference this book often; thanks, Christiane. Read more
Review:--and the results are pretty good. Unlike most of the negative reviewers, who are quibbling over the author's nutrional ideas or whether or not it's fair to use household implements and still call it bodyweight training, I've actually done the program for a while and I like it. I'm fairly advanced at this type of training but, coming off a long-ish layoff and with the injury that caused the layoff still limiting me, I chose the intermediate level program in You Are Your Own Gym. It worked pr... Read more
Review:I love reading this book as my daughter is preparing to welcome twins into her life. It helps me feel connected to her and I am learning a lot of things that are new in the 34 years since she was born! Read more
Review:Great information about ways to grow healthy children, without all the chemicals. When I eat the way they say I should my nursing twins are much happier. When I haven't, such as over thanksgiving and Christmas, they fuss and cry a lot more. Can't wait to see how they do with these new options once they
start eating real food. Read more
Read more
Review:This book is a broken down into segments for every day. Each segment is intended to be a reflection to bring more thoughtful-ness and gratitude into your life. Just reading the first couple of days was enough to tell me I was going to sincerely appreciate this book, and I do. I got the Journal to go with it and have appreciated having a place to write down my responses and thoughts from the daily reflections, which is lovely. Read more
Review:I purchased this book because my feet hurt. Duh. I never wear high heels, I go barefoot as much as possible, and I don't wear flip-flops. This book was somewhat interesting in its explanation of anatomy, but the text was largely aimed at convincing women to stop wearing heels. I'm sure many women need to be told this, but any woman who continues to wear high heels even though her feet hurt is an idiot. This book is not very useful for women like me who wear sensible shoes, or no shoes, and whose... Read more
Review:This book is tailored to everyone. Meets the needs of each reader depending on the results of the quizzes taken at the beginning. The writer explains things in an everyday manner, while offering the more scientific explanation to those who are interested. If you want to skip over the scientific parts, she tells you what pages to skip to. I've been following her strategies recommended for my personal situation and I've seen improvements in my overall mood and health. I feel great. Great boo... Read more
Review:Very informative and helped us a lot with navigating our way through a natural pregnancy and labor/delivery at our local hospital. There was information I wouldn't have even thought to ask about, but was incredibly helpful. Read more
Review:Some good information, but I really resent links to websites that I need to pay money for membership to get information that I thought would be in the book. Further to that, there are a number of QR codes. I'm reading this on a Kindle Fire which is my only "smart" device that can read a QR code. Very frustrating. He couldn't have put the actual links to the free content? Really? This book is just a bunch of bait to hook you into the cult of Dr. Amen. Not saying his information isn't valid, it' s... Read more
