Review:I can't remember if this used book seller described this book as "Good," "Very Good," or "Like New," but it's dirty around the edges and looks like it got wet and then dried. Very disappointed and might not buy any more used books. Read more
Review:Certainly a new perspective, and brought up points I never thought about. It was also really nice to reaffirm some of my own self revelations.
I think it was a great read and every twenty something year old should read it, too. Read more
Review:For a book that supposedly addresses "the most meaningful answers to that great question", this is a huge disappointment. I really didn't find any meaningful answers in this book. Neither did I find any really meaningful questions, because the stories felt too much focused on the surface of people's lives. The author claims that a large percentage of the people whose stories he tells here are "devout" in terms of religion, but you'd never guess that from reading the stories. THere's barely a... Review:This book was recommended to me by a family friend so I was very pleased when I found it on Amazon for less then $10 including shipping. It came on time and in great condition. I enjoyed reading it very much. Dr. Laura is very direct, but I do love her perspective on life. I think this was a great read, and I will definitely order from this vendor again. Read more
Review:An account of the characteristics of past fascists, rhymes with what is in the world today. M Albright’s background gives her great insight to the dangers of Fascism. The signs of Fascism. How it infiltrates a free democracy. Read more
Review:After all of the publicity surrounding this novel, I found the content disappointingly non-stimulating. The character descriptions were good, but strange, and the plot was difficult and frustrating to follow. I would not read this book a second time. Read more
Review:This is such a great book. My boss introduced me to it and I have already read it twice. I may pick it up again this week since it's been a while. We give it to our customers as a gift and I know they come to love the story too. Anyone can relate t a person going on a retreat and not really being "in" to the concept of a retreat. Thru the story, you see this man come around to the discover of what leadership really is about. I highly recommend it for any age group or career background.

Review:I received the book in the mail this afternoon. Starting reading it and didn't put it down until I was finished. It should be mandatory reading for all high school students! His story shows us that we are so much alike, no matter the color of our skin. It's the content of our character! A must read... Read more
Review:This book is a good work book for recently retired or nearly retired persons. It does help one put things in perspective and helps the reader realize that there are advantages to adapting yourself to a new lifestyle.
I think the book glosses over certain imperatives and perhaps may give the impression that it is easy to live well on very little.
Nevertheless just looking at the book as a source of ideas makes it a worthwhile read. I don't think the author means for his word to be t... Read more
