Review:Very informative and a book any and every investor should read (especially the younger investor). Simplifies the seemingly complex endeavor of picking stocks and makes investing accessible to even the most casual investor. I would recommend to every one I know. I will not summarize any of his points here... Go buy the book! Read more
Review:'The Millionaire Mind' has nicely satisfied my curiosity about the characteristics of the affluent people. Stanley has presented various findings of his research, which I find interesting. In some occasions, the research findings were presented in a way that inclined to the author's opinions & values, but that did not spoil the reading experience. Read more
Review:In today's world of finance and the stock market, all the depressing news can cause people who don't have the stomach or wherewithall to weather all the bad news to do drastic things, including buying the "fix all" type books like this one. This particular book is somewhat of a snake-oil description of how to succeed in the market without really trying! There are no such things as "secret hiding places of stock market profits." If people really want to understand how the market works, and wha... Read more
Review:The first part of the book was interesting- card counting, stocks, etc. Unfortunately the second was just a re-hash of financial concepts and Thorp's views on Wall Street. I finally just gave up and skimmed it. Read more
Review:1st read about his index card several years ago; was thrilled to see it fleshed out as a book. I will give it for Christmas presents this year. No one wants to not buy toys and delights, but he helps the reader imagine a viable way to have a more secure retirement, and that makes saying yes to CZ stones and no to diamonds a lot more palatable. Review:Matthew Kratter is an exceptional writer, making investment ideas and concepts easy to understand and implement. His latest masterpiece, "The Little Black Book of Stock Market Secrets" is a book I wish I had read years ago, it would have saved me a lot of money. I have read every book he has offered and it's a must read (and I will buy every book he writes in the future) . I have, also, worked with Mr. Kratter on the phone and I can tell you he is a very kind Gentleman and he's extremely bright a... Read more

Review:As a biginner of stock trading, I found this book extremely helpful for day traders. It covers all the basics you need to you know. For instance, it discusses the fundamental analysis, techinical analysis and mental psychological issues (Chapter 14).
Meir stresses that "Discipline is the name of the game". I think as a novice trader, the first thing I need to learn is not trade for money but trade right and train myself to be self-disciplined.
This book can be very helpful to guide you and... Read more
Review:I have limited knowledge of the stock market and investing. Like many people, I learned the basics in high school and college, but since I wasn’t an active investor, I quickly forgot most of what I learned. This book was a fantastic refresher for me and will be a great reference tool to look at from time to time. Like most people, I don’t have my own personal money manager or a fortune to invest – yet I still need to plan for college savings, retirement, etc.
This book gives a good ste... Read more
Review:Great read, probably not for the complete beginner trader but there is a ton of good info here. It's especially good if you're looking at expanding from stock trading to Options and Futures markets. The book can be a bit disorganized at times simply because it throws a lot of different trading strategies out there on multiple different time frames. The key is too figure out which markets and time frames work for you and focus on those parts. The book mentions this and encourages you to find ... Read more
