Foolproof Recipes That Cook in 30 Minutes or Less
Foolproof Recipes That Cook in 30 Minutes or Less

Review:As a "seasoned" cook, I've been down most of the cooking routes: from the French classics, to one-hour gourmet, to complex vegetarian, to severe, healthy cooking by the docs. Now, I lean to this cookbook's style: simple, tasty, fresh and light -- somewhere between poached quenelles and fried tofu. This is a good grouping of contemporary recipes with zip, often with international flair (oriental, Mexican, etc.). Some recipes are updated twists on old faves like Tuna Melt but with artichokes; B... Read more

The New Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone
The New Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone

Review:The recipes are great but honestly I have no idea what I was thinking ordering a cook book for my kindle. That platform is just not suitable for cook books. How am I going to flip through this to find what I want to cook? No idea. Clearly didn't think this the whole way through.

If you are going to buy this, and the recipes are certainly worth it, buy the actual book. Read more

Classical and Contemporary Sauce Making - 3rd Edition
Classical and Contemporary Sauce Making - 3rd Edition

Review:BEST cookbook in years! Far more than just sauces, as the the title humbly sugests. As soon as I got it, I realised it was special & showed it to my mom, (who, btw, is a great cook & has been cooking for years) & she wanted to keep it. I had to order another one for myself. GET IT--you will thank yourself---it completely rocks! Read more

Everyone Is Italian on Sunday
Everyone Is Italian on Sunday

Review:Sorry, Rach, but I'm very disappointed in this book. Other reviewers had commented on the lack of a decent amount of pictures and I will have to agree. As a matter of fact, there are even less than that. There are less than a handful and, like other reviewers, I like to see what the finished "product" is supposed to look like. The title implied to me that this would be a family meal type cookbook. Sunday dinners include everyone, right? I find that a very good percentage of the recipes are f... Read more

4 Inches--and Your Wrinkles!--in Just 21 Days - Lose Up to 15 Pounds
4 Inches--and Your Wrinkles!--in Just 21 Days - Lose Up to 15 Pounds

Review:Just completed the 21 days and have lost 17 lbs. WOW! It was the easiest 17lbs I've ever lost. I am staying on this plan until I get to my desired weight, but may take a day or two off for special occasions. I does require a day or two of cooking on weekends to get the bone broth you need, but if you use a slow cooker, it's pretty simple and you can leave it to cook and not worry. Just strain and cool at the end. The broth you end up with is soul warming! I am not sure how this will feel ... Read more

Fix-It and Forget-It Big Cookbook - 1400 Best Slow Cooker Recipes!
Fix-It and Forget-It Big Cookbook - 1400 Best Slow Cooker Recipes!

Review:To begin this book was shipped well and on time. The corners were a bit pushed in but was not a problem to me, just seemed like it may have been dropped. The book itself is amazing! Let me elaborate a bit. When I ordered this it was actually under the assumption it was recipes for crock pot cooking (beef and vegetables, chicken, or ham) this was not the case. This book has EVERYTHING! From cobbler to Mexican food and there is no easier way to get things done than throw it all in a pot and ... Read more

More Paleo Recipes for People Who Love to Eat - Well Fed 2

Review:Best paleo cookbook (apart from Well Fed 1), and really great cookbook all around. My nonpaleo people enjoy the recipes as well. Great, robust flavors and wonderful use of easy to find spices and ingredients. Flexibility of recipes makes the book at least 3x more valuable. This and the original are my two favorite cookbooks to date. Well done!! Read more

Rachael Ray 30-Minute Meals for Kids - Cooking Rocks!

Review:I love Rachael Ray. I love her enthusiasm, her moxie, just her good 'ole zest for life. She is fun to watch and gets you really involved in the meal at the same time urging you to try new things.

She should not have published this cookbook.

The ideals in it are nice. Cook with your kids, teaching, learning etc. etc. Create some wholesome family time etc. etc. ABSOLUTELY.

Great ideas, great concepts.

HORRIBLE RECIPES.

Seriously, just plain bad.

I am an un... Read more
