Just completed the 21 days and have lost 17 lbs. WOW! It was the easiest 17lbs I've ever lost. I am staying on this plan until I get to my desired weight, but may take a day or two off for special occasions. I does require a day or two of cooking on weekends to get the bone broth you need, but if you use a slow cooker, it's pretty simple and you can leave it to cook and not worry. Just strain and cool at the end. The broth you end up with is soul warming! I am not sure how this will feel in the middle of summer, but for now, in January, it sure hits home and I haven't felt this great in over 3 years! I highly recommend anyone looking to lose weight and feel more energy and sleep better, to give this plan a try! I makes so much sense!

I am currently starting week 2. Bone broth is very expensive and time consuming. I've made it in the past and so I already had some chicken bones. I finally found a source for chicken feet and other exotic bones yesterday, but they're ridiculously expensive! I'm going to keep searching. My first batch of beef bone broth is currently cooking. I roasted marrow bones and some ox tails, added to this a huge beef foot, onions and water, and they filled my crock pot. I hope it's good - I much prefer beef over chicken. However, once again, very expensive! Luckily my family is not dipping in to my broth. I have not weighed so I don't know if I've lost weight, but I feel much thinner on the inside. I'm sleeping much better and my aches are going away. I hope all this bone broth helps my skin tighten up. I'm 55 and type II diabetic. I was on an insulin pump but I took it off when I started this diet and I hope it's gone for good. My sugars lower every day. I am hungry all the time which means I need to add more vegetables. I got in this mess cause I didn't eat enough vegetables. I did not get any carb flu. I was already off sugar and caffeine (she's one of the only current crop of weight loss guru's who do not get you off caffeine). Going without dairy is dang hard but I've done it before for a diet, and I do know it's one of my problems. I substitute coconut milk for cream in my decaf. I just hate giving up my extra sharp cheddar - man, I love that stuff. My hope is to stick to this for life, lose all the weight, and the ailments, then do her 80/20 maintenance for life. I made the asparagus/onion/mushroom/egg bake and it was good. Man, it needed cheese.

This lifestyle change WORKS and I feel great today because of it. Instead of doing it for 21 days, it had a 29 day duration because I started before I could get the right bones ordered to make the broth. I chose this to improve my health, not to lose weight, since I was actually slender before I started. However, the pounds I did lose made me look so much better and I have found it easy to keep the weight off, 6 months later. Of course it's important to understand that I followed everything in a strict manner and did not skimp on anything Dr. Kellyann instructed. I bought bones of grass fed animals and organic foods were used as much as possible. At first, most anyone will find this new way of eating tough to do, and eating at restaurants will be nearly impossible, but it gets easier, and the payoff is HUGE. If you are a disciplined person and determined to make something work, you can do this.

This book was literally life changing for me! Dr. Kellyann explains the hows and whys and somehow seems to answer the questions in your head as you’re reading. Very engaging and funny at times! I’ve been on this diet for 11 days and have already lost 12 pounds!! Buy this book, you will not be disappointed!!

As a health care professional, author and clinician, I can say without hesitation Dr. Kellyann is a blessing for someone looking to reclaim or improve their health. She has pulled back the curtain in empowering people to take back their health with a tangible, authentic, results driven approach. A must read and a library staple for the health conscious.

Diet worked, but buying all the groceries required can get expensive. Personally, I couldn't drink as much broth as was suggested, it tended to make me nauseous. I am continuing the thrust of the diet by limiting the amount of sugar, dairy, and grains that I eat.

I recently purchased and read Dr. Kellyann's Bone Broth Diet Book. I also made my first batch of broth and am enjoying some as I write this review. It truly is "Liquid Gold". I can't wait to get started with her plan. Dr. Kellyann's program is not one size fits all. She offers a few different ways that you can participate, depending on how much time and energy you have to commit. Plus, it's not a fad or gimmic. It's something you can come back to again and again or adopt as a lifestyle change as well. She really does make it simple to be successful, and her book is filled with inspirational stories that back this up. While the principles Dr. Kellyann writes about are transformational, they are built on a solid foundation. It's amazing how she made everything so easy to understand. I look forward to sharing my success.

I have followed the diet strictly for almost 2 weeks now (I'm on day 13) and I've lost just under 10 lbs. I feel healthy, with no hunger. Hopefully my momentum continues. I plan on following the 80-20 plan at the end to maintain all the hard work!

Excellent, Excellent Plan!!! I have tried a number of diet plans/programs, some with good success, others not so much. I am now in my 60's and definitely needed help! This plan makes the most logical sense of any I have used or been associated with; it is actually quite fun to make my own broth(s) and utilize recipes that I adapt using the basic broth recipe from Dr. Kellyann's program. We keep on using a pressure cooker to make the "puchero" as is called in Argentine Spanish...
We will verify keeping the broth for three days in the refrigerator... it never lasts that long...!

Fits very well with my gluten free and sugar free dietary preferences. Looks like it meshes well with Bulletproof too, except the prohibition on butter at first. Might be able to use ghee in my Bulletproof coffee. Love the emails from Dr. Kellyann, she goes all out!

Okay... The Pho comment made me chuckle. Good one. In all honesty though, I liked the book. She's not breaking new ground here and quite frankly everything she has to say I have read in countless paleo\primal books. But I really enjoyed her approach to fasting. I'm going to give it a go. Fasting has always been really hard for me and I admit that it never occured to me to try this approach. Especially since I make bone broth every week. Go figure. I will update after I try the full we days.

I was inspired by Dr Kellyann from her Public Television Show. I have since ordered 3 more copies of the book for other people. It is well written, and the recipies included are really tasty. I never follow anything just as suggested, but I have lost 15 pounds and have had lots of energy as well. Best result is that I am now in charge of what I eat and not given to satisfying cravings or eating to please anyone but myself.

This book includes everything you need to get started on a diet that is very reasonable, includes detox, and could be followed for as long as you like and stilll maintain a healthy diet. Meal plans for each of the 21 days are laid out with recipes, and uses leftovers throughout each week to help cut down on cooking. There is a shopping list, but it is all inclusive which is not practical when it comes to the purchase of perishables, but for pantry items, and meat (if you have freezer space), it is helpful. That being said, the recipes (and there are many) often call for something made from another recipe. I found flipping back and forth to develop a shopping list of fruits, veggies, and meat for the week to be somewhat tedious. It would have been nice to have a shopping list for the week. Also, the recipes are almost all written for servings of 4. That is nice if you can convince your entire family to eat at least a part of what you eat, but that is not the case in my house, so I not only had to develop a shopping list for my diet (doing the math to reduce some of the recipes) as well as a shopping list for the rest of the family. The bone broth recipes are simple, and I found all that I tried to be excellent. There are also recipes (using the bone broth you have made) to enhance the broth so that it is very tasty. I have noticed some of the health benefits mentioned in this book and definately did lose weight. Well written, easy to read, and to follow with the exceptions of recipes requiring some page turning, and lack of weekly shopping lists, which would have definitely enhanced the process. I would recommend giving this diet a try, but be prepared to bite the bullet for 21 days. Not too hard, though as there is plenty to eat, and the bone broth makes the fast days surprisingly easy.

Granted she's apparently the first one to advocate a bone broth regime to lose weight and improve health - but the book is padded with client stories and philosophy, and the recipes look as if they won't have a lot of flavor (for the same weight of bones, she uses less of the 'aromatics' than you'll find in Brodo, for example). Most of these recipes seem to use the bones raw, rather than roasted - again, less flavor (though not all of Brodo;s recipes call for roasting the bones first). Overall, I'll use this for the 'fasting' protocol, and Brodo for th recipes.

I love Dr. Kellyann's Bone Broth Diet!!! It really works. I would highly recommend this book to everyone. It's full of lots of good information and is very well written with many delicious receipes. I am into my 5th week now and I am still losing weight. This is by far the easiest diet I have ever tried and I saw results immediately. If you eat the foods on her "yes" list you will be quite full and content. I feel great on this and plan to stay with it until I get healthy again!!

I loved it! I'd read about the healing qualities of bone broth, and Dr. Kellyanne gives practical advice. I'd already been doing a lot of the things in her book, and will continue to use her ideas and recipes to improve my health. I am a follower of Dr. Amen's brain health and she uses some of his advice in her diet. Few of the other similar "diet books" that I'd read discusses leaky gut. Her explanation made me understand why I was not losing weight, despite following other diets to the letter. The bonuses that she offers as part of the book purchase were a big plus.
