She talks more about her knowledge than what she said she was going to show us
Have to read about all her knowledge she has gathered over the years to fill the pages most of it is "Greece" to what we really want to get out of book. Not st all like she portrayed in the promo video

The knowledge she shares in these pages are very empowering, encouraging, and spot-on. She answers so many questions I didn't even know to ask. And she gives the reader practical solution after practical solution to live our best lives and put our best foot forward. This book is also a great re-read. Thank you, Sara, for applying your knowledge and credentials to a widely debated topic of how to take charge of your own health.

What an amazing book! I love the outlook on aging and ailments—we have for so long just believed that getting older meant falling apart and feeling crummy. This is a phenomenal book that uses both science and compassion to break free from the old thought that getting old means suffering.

Dr. Sara Gottfried condones consuming alcohol, saturated fat in eggs, fish, coconut oil, butter (even though she says to eliminate dairy) and consuming collagen powder, bone broth, taking super antioxidant ALA (even though many scientists are saying that taking these antioxidants in isolation impairs our body's own production of antioxidants). Other medical doctors and institutions/studies discourage patients from consuming these products:
Saturated Fat:
Michael Greger M.D. · Last Updated on February 17, 2017:
Saturated fat is considered harmful to health. Studies have shown that high saturated fat intake may raise the risk of:
Abdominal aortic aneurysm
Alzheimer’s disease
Bacterial vaginosis
Colon cancer
Coronary artery lesions
Decreased male fertility
Dementia
Diabetes
Hardening of the arteries
Heart attack
Heart disease
High cholesterol levels
Intestinal lining breakdown
Kidney problems
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
Periodontal disease
Skin aging and wrinkling

Hydrolyzed collagen, like gelatin, is made from animal by-products from the meat industry, including skin, bones, and cartilage (connective tissue such as tendons and ligaments). You are then eating the toxins that have been injected into the animal in addition to the pesticides the animal has eaten.
Eggs and fish: "Men with elevated TMAO levels after eating meals of eggs and beef were found to have higher levels of firmicute bacteria in their guts, while those with lower levels of TMAO had higher levels of a class of bacteria called bacteriodides. Firmicutes alone express genes that convert choline (from eggs) and carnitine (from beef) to TMA, which the body in turn converts to TMAO. Those with high TMAO also had less-diverse gut microbiomes.
When these men ate fish, circulating TMAO increased within 15 minutes by 50 times compared with measurements after eating eggs or beef. But, in the U.S., fish is generally not a major part of diets, while Americans eat a lot of eggs and meat," Caudill said.
"This provides some evidence that the elevation in TMAO may simply be a biomarker of differences in the gut microbiome," Caudill said. "My hypothesis is that diseased individuals - whether it's heart disease, cancer or other chronic diseases - are going to have a different microbiome than nondiseased individuals, and that microbiome can be marked by TMAO levels in the blood." from sciencedaily.com, Aug. 11th, 2016.

Wine: "Drinking alcohol increases estrogen levels in the body. Some health experts believe that through this pathway, alcohol may increase the risk of estrogen sensitive cancers. This includes estrogen receptor positive (ER-positive) breast cancer, the most common type of breast cancer. Beyond the estrogen connection, alcohol itself is believed to be carcinogenic, or cancer-causing."
This applies to wine, beer, and hard liquor. It is the alcohol that matters, not the form of alcohol you drink.
For breast cancer survivors, some early studies suggested, at least for ER positive breast cancer, risk of recurrence may increase when a woman has more than one or two drinks per week. This is far below the standard health recommendation that women consume no more than one drink per day." from Oncologynutrition.org.
She also recommends “bone broth”. Ugh.
