The Graphic Novel series Book 2) - A Graphic Novel (Vampire Academy

The adaptation process from book to graphic novel is always a risky one. This particular instance (as well as the prior graphic novelization of the first book) defied my expectations with the right amount of abridgment coupled with vivid and brilliantly accented illustration. A definite must-have for fans of the series.

Better than the first book, and the first book was very good. This book is well written with a lot of d descriptions and insight about how teenagers think and act. Just think back yourself and remember ages 16 through 18!! I enjoyed reading this book. Now on to book #3!!

Rather quickly in Rose's case. The story continues only a few weeks after where the first book ended and Rose's life is getting more and more complicated. She's still the sarcastic teenage child but she seems to be learning quickly how to behave as a true dhampir guardian.
Seems I only think about Rose when thinking about these books even though Lissa is a huge part of the story. But it's Rose who drives it.

Richelle Mead has crafted the most interesting and juicy Vampire series since Twilight. I must say this book on the heels of the first one in the series blew me away. Totally. I highly recommend the entire series and I am now reading the next series Bloodlines and I am loving it. RM you know how to deliver the goods. Well Done!

I lo Ed this graphic over. The pictures are beautifully drawn, and all the important parts of the story are included in the dialogue. I love the series and found it to be an important addition to my Vampire Academy collection. I also feel this is great for those who can't sit through a whole novel.

Great next chapter in the series. I know the campaign to make this into a movie failed after the poor performance of the first book, but I still have hopes. I think now that the First movie is out on DVD and movie channel it is creating the cult following it deserves. Great book that I want to see translated to the Big Screen!

I started this book right before bed and the next I looked up and it was for hours later. Lots of adventure with a little bit of romance thrown in. What more could a girl ask for? It's an easy read, and the story flows quite smoothly. I highly recommend.

A great edition to the graphic novel series, but the copy I received is obviously used. The cover is covered in writing indentions, the bottom has black market on it, and there's what looks like stickers that have been ripped off the back. I'm not pleased that I was told I would be recieving a new copy, and then instead got one that is blatantly used.

My least favorite of the series. Kind of slow, definitely compared to the last, but the storyline fleshed out here. Did keep me interested in the series. The Rose-Dimitri thing was a tug of war...I was often like ok...so what are we doing? Is he going to resist her or give in or what?

I really enjoyed this book and read through it really fast. The only thing is the book has a lot of errors in it and I know that's not a big deal, but when you are required to notice small details on a daily basis it's hard not to notice them. Overall thought it was a good story line and would definitely read the rest of the series.

This book progressed the series quite nicely and added more layers to the word of vampires and their guardians. This Ya book series is another than teens are going to have to fight their parents over who gets to read it first. I love the fact that there are so many great YA paranormals out there that parents and kids can enjoy together.

Seriously, if you haven't read these books, get out from under the rock you're hiding under and start them now!!! Don't be put off by how weird and flat-out comical the movie was--trust me the books are 1000% better!

This is the second book of theVampire Academy series it has more action than the first it starts to get interesting. Some of the characters are funny some you just grow to love and some to dislike. You will enjoy it!!

When I read the Vampire Academy novels, I fell in love. And when found out that they had a graphic novel for it I was ecstatic! The artwork is amazing, and they were able to transform the entire novel into a shorter version, keep in all the important details.

I really enjoyed reading this book except the first part of the book describes too much of what we already knew that happened in book 1. book 3 doesn't do that as much but this bothered me about this book. other than that it was good and I am enjoying the 3rd book now.

This books was so good and addicting that I completed it in one day. Suspense and action was included here whereas the first book lacked it. I truly am a vampire academy addict now! A wonderful escape from the mundane world!

I am really enjoying this series I started reading because I wanted to be ahead when the movie came out. But before that I have been wanting to read this series! But it's really good if you like vampire and love stories!

You tuition uiuiiun. So I just got back from kid free week long vaca in New Orleans and the diet went out the window! The truth is that I haven't been in the game for a few weeks now (as you know). No excuses here--I just think I sort of sought some stress comfort through food. My flaw is lack of consistent exercise so if I don't eat perfectly or make up for a splurge then its a fail. This book was even more enthralling than the last. Read and became so involved with the characters lives and storyline that it kept me integrated throughout the book. Ready to begin the next book. Love this series

This book is MUCH better, with a more action packed story line that keeps you involved with the characters and the strength of our Guardian Rose. Reading how Lissa evolves herself into something that will truly be a wonderful queen one day is heartening. I enjoyed this book much more and its THIS book that pulled me into the series properly.

Welcome back to the series, it and it's characters develop and mature into a much more interesting story and leaves one looking forward to the rest of the series.
Really well written and with darker moments, than the first novel. it also shows a maturing of the characters, particularly the lead and the story well worth continuing with the series

OMG! After watching the VA movie I can envision the characters much more clearly in my mind, & Rose & Demitri are SO cute together! I hope they can figure out how to make it work!!! Demitri is SO HOT!

As usual, I love the series! I character development in this book is great, I think you get to know them a little more and there are things you didn't see coming even tho there are clues in the beginning of the book!

Rachel mead does it again! This book is beautifully crafted, having just the right amount of romance and action to keep readers of all ages interested. I really enjoyed reading this book and I'm sure that if you give it a try you will too. This is a coming of age story that I think all people can relate to.

I love this series, I have already preordered the 4th book! I stumbled across this series and was not going to purchase it, i had never heard of it, but then decided i would. I had Spring break comming up and would have time for pleasure reading. Best reading purchase I ever made!

I totally loved the Vampire Academy series. Story about Rosemarie Hathaway, tough lady is the best guardian with great skills. this graphic novel with pictures are very awesome and still love to read it again.

I was recommended this series by a friend. I bought them one at a time, but ended up buying all of them in a week! I couldn't put them down. It is a great, new look at the vampire world. I was tired of the "usual" (and boring) view that has been presented recently and wanted something different and this series has definitely met my needs!

Great; amazing work!! This is my second time reading this book and it still brings me to tears and makes me laugh at Rose's witty remarks! I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys action and romance.

I read all of these books back when vampire academy was first released and had to wait what seemed like forever for each additional book to be released. These books are amazing and I have read and reread them repeatedly. They are by far way better then the twilight series (although I enjoyed those too) but these were/are on a completely different level.

Highly recc this overall series-- it is a great, fun read that is well written that holds your attention and allows you to escape the mundane routine of every-day life. Rose, Dimitri, Lissa, Christian and Adrian are some well-rounded, fun characters. Enjoy!
